Coffee Bandits

Coffee Bandits is a locals seat down coffee place in downtown Merced. Go and support local spots! You will see local artists, college kids and a kaleidoscope of individuals. The prices are fitting of a local coffee shop and have baked goodies and sandwiches there are some vegan/vegetarian options as well. Has local artists art on walls and is LGBTQ+ friendly. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Environment is chill and a great place to study or work.
The individuals working here are not your Starbucks/Dutchbros employees they don’t need your life story and they don’t want it. They will answer questions and then keep working until you are ready to order. So dont expect the most friendliest customer service but they will help and assist. The coffee is good and the baristas know what they are doing which is key! Pictures are of a vegan blueberry scone it was very good and a sugar free hazelnut latte total was $9.
Overall good place to get quality coffee, study, and support small businesses.

I don’t know how this place only has a 4.6 rating. The coffee is amazing. We actually googled it, as we are trying to stay away from Starbucks with the horrible label practices. And coffee bandits came up. We had to negotiate some crazy Highway 99 road traffic repair, worth backtracking!

Best college-town coffee vibes in Merced. Two clean bathrooms and reasonably-priced depth charges. They have vegan options but not a huge overall selection (but it’s a coffee shop, c’mon).

I love hanging out with a cup of coffee reading a book and munching on a blueberry scone. The atmosphere is calming, eclectic, open, airy with lots of space and ample seating. There are two covered patios just outside. Customer service is always on point, very friendly and welcoming.

Great workers, great drinks, great prices! Whats not to love, the workers are enjoyable to order from and are helpful, my one gripe is that the matcha can be somewhat inconsistent but their other drinks are more than perfect! Almost no wait too!

Nice quiet place to grab coffee or a snack. Lovely staff and pleasant vibe all around highly recommend the sweets 🖤

I’m so glad I was finally able to stop by! I loved the shop!!! All the employees were friendly and helpful, and the coffee was really good. The vibes were immaculate, and I can’t wait to go again soon!

So much better than Starbucks! Good atmosphere and good customer service. The coffee is great but the sandwiches are good too.

Such a fun environment. Great espresso and latte. Breakfast bagel was tasteful as well with the pesto :)

Great coffee(had the latte with vanilla and Lavender syrup) and bagels (veg on the everything bagel) and good working space.

For here or to go, I like the bagel breakfast sandwich and coffee. Usually iced, but not this time. Watching the parade and drinking it hot on the patio today . Support local coffee shops!

Relaxing cafe with a great, energetic atmosphere on busy days, and a nice place to do some work and get some coffee all the time. I enjoy their banana bread and like to get a different drink whenever I go, all of which have met or exceeded my expectations. The customer service is great, too. I'd recommend this gem to anyone.

Have absolutely missed this place, I'm really glad to see that they are still up and around. I don't stop through Merced often but it feels really good to see familiar faces and enjoy the atmosphere coffee bandits provides for the community.

Delightful basic bagel sandwich. Drinks are great too.

I came right as the coffee shop opened and the Barista was happy to help me right away. There was wonderful artwork by a local artist displayed.

Got a hot chocolate and latte. Both were great! Stayed around and did a little work and the atmosphere was very nice.
