Charla is the best owner and she has remarkable hair stylists in her shop. They all cater to their clients and do as you ask. They also understand hair and facial styles and what suits you best and will recommend the best style for you and you can agree or disagree or meet in the middle.

My first experience with this salon and Angie was fantastic. I called and asked for availability and was helped immediately over the phone and got an appointment. Angie texted me the day of our appointment and was very friendly. She took my hair inspiration and made it happen for me custom to my hair. She was very friendly and I felt comfortable with her even with it being my first time with her. I highly recommend them 🫶

This is one of the best salons in Merced my daughter Aleah and i have both had amazing results getting our hair done here. Jenna and Priscilla are wonderful. You pretty much can use any stylist here and get great results 100 percent of the time

First time, had my hair cut and styled by Priscilla. It was nice to have someone so passionate and professional work on my hair. Came out of it with a cut that I love! The interior is so fun, almost industrial minimalism with a little retro flair, and the staff were so nice!

Highly recommend. And if you want something retro or 70s, I highly recommend Priscilla! She's awesome!

I always look forward to the salon, having some ME time letting my hair down. IZAK is an amazing fearless stylist. Most importantly, when I'm in his chair he makes me feel like VIP , I just wish my families new...lol and when stepping out of his chair I always feel beautiful with a big smile and a hand flip of my hair, "How you doin?" Feeling ready and equiped for my next adventure! IZAK offers a service and an unforgettable experience. We always have fun!

I’ve been coming to this salon for years and love it. My entire family comes here and we all use Jenna. She’s extremely talented and always delivers what we ask for. Jenna is very personable and very professional. My immediate family as well as extended family will never go elsewhere!

My first time in was about a week ago, and I am not disappointed! Izak is AMAZING and I am so happy and satisfied with my results. I can be a little picky when it comes to blonde, and he gave me better than what I wanted and initially expected. The salon overall has a great atmosphere and you can feel the warm welcome as soon you as you enter, and the staff genuinely take pride in their hard work. Thank you, Izak! =)

I've had the best experiences with their services. Izak was amazing, I highly recommend him. Another highlight is that their salon hours are super accommodating. Their salon is on the back side of main street, so make sure to park in the large parking lot off of 16th.

Great place. Very covid-19 compliant. Sharla does my hair and she does a great job at coloring it and trimming it to my desire. She also styles and colors my daughter's hair. I recommend this salon.

I have wavy but very flat hair that gets out of control when not maintained. I just needed a light trim and some layering to give my flat hair some volume and Charla did an amazing job!! It looks amazing!

I got a cut and dye. I've never been picky for hairstyles, so I told Jessica to just do whatever she wanted, and then we bleached my hair and brought it to a medium blue. It took a little while to get used to it, but at this point I don't think I've ever been happier with a hairstyle in my life. Very highly recommend.

I was worried about finding a hair salon in Merced after moving from San Francisco with so many incredible stylists and colorists. Fortunately I found Charla, and she has given me incredible highlights and haircuts over the past year or so. Very friendly place, with reasonable prices. Best place in Merced for sure!

I've been to Retro Lux three times now and each time Charla does an excellent job of cutting my hair and styling it afterwards. She's efficient, listens and I leave pleased each time. Will be returning again!
