Mama's Cafe

We've lived in Ukiah for almost 4 years. We heard about Mama's Cafe. But, this was our first visit. Why did we wait so long? The decor has an old school feel (a good thing). Still, we did not come for the decor. We were looking for good food made with natural ingredients. Creative but simple recipes. In short, high quality that tastes fantastic. We were more than satisfied. Service was great, and prices were fair. I spoke with the owner. For more than 20 years, she has proudly served good eats. Truly a rare find!

We were actually going to another restaurant but it was too busy. Somebody told us about this one so we thought we'd give it a try. We were unsure at first because it didn't say Mama's on the front door or window anywhere. It was a small place but I opened the door and asked the waitress if this was Mama's and she said yes. So we grabbed a seat and ordered some tea and checked out the menu. The breakfast part of the menu was pretty big but the lunch menu was a little small which is okay. My wife ordered the grilled chicken pesto sandwich and kettle chips and I ordered the club sandwich with country potatoes with garlic. We were both amazed so so glad we found this place the food was excellent the club sandwich was different than any club sandwich I've ever had anywhere. It didn't have three pieces of bread it had two on a bun. And my wife loved her chicken sandwich I don't like pesto but I tried it and was very impressed. The wait staff was fantastic lady was very nice. There's also a little bakery right next door which is part of the restaurant. It is owned by a lady who comes in early in the morning and gets everything ready and does the baking. Breakfast or lunch I highly recommend this place my wife and I will definitely be going back.

When I’m in ukiah, mamas is my favorite and only breakfast place I will eat, they use quality and lots of organic ingredients and that’s really important to me! They make food that is delicious, indulgent and healthy!

I was in town for a work meeting and wanted to stop by somewhere for a quick bite before going into work. This place was amazing! I had the breakfast quesadilla and it has got to be the best one I've ever had. When it comes out it hits you with a bang! Fresh aromas of herbs is stemming from this dish. Every bite was packed full of flavor! If I lived closer this place would be my go to!

One of my favorite places for breakfast in Ukiah. It's small, mostly busy, but worth the wait. I love their food. It's my son's favorite place for breakfast.

Fall Special - Ratatouille & Eggs (poached) made for a really nice brunch today. Hot Cranberry & Apple Cider was perfect for today's cool Fall weather.

A little charming place for breakfast and brunch. The food was fantastic so do the service and price. Definitely recommend this place if you are in town.

Probably the best breakfast I've had in years!!! All the flavors were on point, staff was awesome, and I'm so happy I happen to stumble upon this place!! Highly recommend!!! Eggs bene was delicious, waffle with strawberries and whipped cream 🤤, and the rosemary garlic potatoes are outta this world delicious!! 🤤 Don't wait, RUN, and get some amazing breakfast!!

BEST meal in Ukiah for breakfast or lunch! Anything that includes their Rosemary Potatoes won't disappoint, and those breadsticks too! Great selection of seasonal foods and drinks, it's a weekly go-to treat.

My favorite breakfast place in town. Really recommend their kale & egg (and when they ask you if you want avocado or bacon with it please say “both!”). Great gluten free bread. Sourdough pancakes and rosemary potatoes are also delicious. Can’t really go wrong!

Service was very good, nice brunch/lunch kind of place. Felt comfortable eating indoors FOR THE FIRST TIME at a restaurant in over a year. The servers wore masks and the tables were well set apart, and both front and back door were left open. The patio dining was full, but the interior decor is nice too. The food was very good. Potatoes were just about the best I've ever had with a brunch. Highly recommend.

Wonderful place. I love that they let you substitute tofu for eggs.

You can get your typical breakfast and sandwiches with a personal twist of perfectly cooked and crispy rosemary potatoes. Go try it, you won’t be disappointed.

The atmosphere is charming and warm. The outside seating was beautiful and the air was filled with intoxicating jasmine!
Our server was kind, polite and patient as we reviewed the many options on the menu.
The food was fresh and 5 star on my ratings! I would absolutely enjoy another meal there and support local!

The food is amazing and the staff is great! Mama's is a country style restaurant with unique and tasty breakfasts. The breakfast bowls and garlic country potatoes are both fantastic. They have with well seasoned ingredients and great portion sizes for the cost. A must try place for breakfast in Ukiah!

I happily give 5 stars because the food is excellent and the price is reasonable. The atmosphere is very welcoming and staff is nice. Unfortunately the service is not that efficient. Perhaps not enough waiters? Both times I went I was very satisfied with the food but I had to wait a long time before even being acknowledged. The first time I went, three tables that showed up after me were served before I was. I hope that aspect will be improved. In the meantime, I'll keep going there, making sure I have plenty of time available!

One girlfriend. She is always get the Benedict and I am roadrunner girl. They have lunch too but we have never been there for lunch. They have a beautiful back porch area with a very enchanted feeling. I Love how they have a to go section now that’s separate. It
