When you need a reminder that not ALL people suck and beer makes life better, this is indeed the spot. Plus the owners are local, so you can feel good spending your money here during Merced's era of gentrification.

They didn't have the brand of beer we wanted, so the bartender gave us a shot of a similar beer to taste and that's what we ordered. It's a great place for couples or a small group of friends. Good prices.

Great little tap house. Great selection of beers. Bar tender was very knowledgeable and professional. I liked the size and ambiance inside as well, very inviting and comfortable. Next time I have a few hours to kill in Merced, this is first on my list of places to hang out.

This place was a very nice surprise while we were in Merced for my Grandson's birthday party. We got there early and I wanted a good craft beer and a quick internet search pointed us here. Its really nice inside and they have an amazing selection of beers to choose from. The young man behind the bar was informative, insightful and helpful. An absolutely great experience all around. We will definitely be back!

They also serve hard ciders and wine but no other hard alchohol.

Great bartenders and a good selection of premium beers ciders and wine. The taps rotate on a regular basis with a focus on IPA but Lagers, Pilsner and Stouts abound as well. No food that I know of.

One of the best places to grab a brew in Merced! Great atmosphere and different craft beers each week. A little small on the inside but worth it. They also serve wine.

Best place in Merced to grab a craft brew with friends. They have an ample selection of draft beers (usually about 20 on tap) offering a wide range of styles to choose from, including: Porters, Stouts, IPA's, Pils and more. Impressive selection of barrel aged beers for a smaller place. Definitely check out their selection of cans and bottles too!

The 17th St Pub is a great addition to a ever changing downtown Merced. Set next to Coffee Bandits near MLK and Main, the Pub is a snug and classy beer and wine bar. The woodwork is top notch but not over the top. No food menu except beer-nuts and sometimes almonds .... but the BEER! The beer. Beautiful colorful thoughtful glass-full beer, it makes me smile. The beer selection is a rotating and exciting; there is never a dull tap handle. The taps have tended to be "hopcentric" but there is a beer for every taste and even hard root beer. Knowledgeable and friendly tapistas will point you in the right direction and there is also beer in cans and bottles so you really can't go wrong unless you want a Coord light.
The Pub is just a great small craft beer and wine joint. The wine selection is limited but carefully chosen - they have red and um white! But seriously found some new favorites there a Chardonnay with a back story involving flint arrowheads; a Shiraz blend with a convict; a lush Pinot noir at a surprising (reasonable) price. You can also buy wine to go (but not beer).
The thing with the Pub is that great care has been taken to set it up and then it is layered over with a homey insouciant charm - it is effortlessly cool.
Local restaurants will deliver food there or you can bring in your bologna sandwich.

Can't wait to go back and try more! I had an IPA with Mango and it was so good, the ciders were great too just too sweet for me.

Quaint little pub that definitely does not feel like the standard Downtown Merced flair. Good selection of beer, on tap and in bottles and cans. Knowledgeable staff.

a place where you can get drunk on every night. this bar only contain DARK BEER!!! so theres no modelo, corona, budlight or anything else. the beer taste amazing and the bartender are cool. there talkative and really chatty if you get into there topic.

Small. Cozy. Great brews on tap. The bartender made some great suggestions of stouts to try. I will definitely come back.
