this is my second time going and honestly it was a vibe, probably one of the best bar in the town. it has old arcade games, which gives me a lot of nostalgia. I tried playing guitar hero today but the guitar seems broken, which was unfortunate and I think it needs a replacement. other than that, the drinks were great, beats from the music was great also, and I will be coming back more in future. :)

my drink was like $6 for mango cocktail, i’d say it’s a good price

My review is based on my first time here. (On a weekday during lunch hour 12pm) it was nice to get my mind off work and play games and eat great food. Service was welcoming and friendly. It wasn't busy as I imagined it would be so I was able to enjoy my time here.

Joystiq was super chill and laid-back. The karaoke was a lot of fun, and Amanda's drinks were on point as usual. She had such a cool attitude and made the whole experience even better. Food was great! They had a little something for everyone. It was the perfect place to dance, hang out with friends, and have a great time. 🎤🍹🍔🎉

Great place to get drinks and food. Atmosphere is really nice and they have cool retro games. They really go out of the way to make sure you are served right away and the staff are really kind. The food and drinks are really good. The bartenders aren't stingy with their pours like some places. Highly recommend!!

Cool atmosphere. Help yourself kind of place. Great bar. Food was good. They were out of the bacon wrapped dates, I was bummed out by that. But that just proves how good they are. Greek salad was great! Donor fries were great! Music was also very good, loud, but I like loud and it was Saturday night. 21+ after 9pm. Which is cool too. We had our two boys with us. Our oldest loved the games. Super cool vintage stuff I haven’t seen since I was a kid. Pin ball, ski ball, racing, duck hunter type games and much more. Love it! 5 stars!

I had a great time at the 90's -2000's party! Got there early to try the food and it did not disappoint. A large amount of games and things to do for all ages. Checked out the bar and all the bartenders were great. The bartender Jose stood out the most, very welcoming and poured great drinks all night. 10/10 definitely recommend.

Love the ambiance here !Probably the best lounge in the city. Awesome views. Very stylish decor and tons of space. When Amanda is here she is phenomenal want a drink that hits just right ask for her! I always feel welcomed Quick service with a smile :) Andy is very helpful if I ever have any question 10/10 never disappoints

This place is so needed in Merced. Family fun, college hangout, date night, you name it! Great interior design with tons of seating and games for any interest. Pro tips if you’re going during the first few weeks of opening: 1) order food at the “Play All Day” station to the right when you walk in (you can only order drinks at the bar, no food), 2) know that they are slammed so be patient while they work out the kinks of being newly opened (we went at 2pm on a Saturday and there were close to 100 people there), 3) bring your own quarters for no wait at the register or change machine so you can jump on the games while your food is being prepared. Overall, really fun environment and the food was also very yummy. We ordered the pita and hummus plate (pictured) and wings and fries which I devoured without a photo. The very busy staff did their best to check in on us a few times and got us extra sauces, refilled our drinks and answered all of our many questions. We will definitely go back.

I love to go to Joystiq when I look forward to a night out with good drinks! Joystiq is always my go to! They have delicious wings & gourmet food. I love that they have a wide variety of drinks made by my favorite bartender Serina she always gets me right & has great customer service! I also love that they always have new games to play especially the pin ball selection! I always recommend this place for when family/friends come to town & want a good time!

Kandace is the best bartender in town. This place is lucky to have her there. Fun bar for the whole family or just for your friends. LOVE the karaoke room. Menu has gotten a whole lot better too.

By far the best bar I’ve been too. This has been the first bar I finally felt like was able to relax and drink. To top it off Serina is one of the best bartenders there, she was quick to attend and definitely knows how to make her drinks! 10/10 recommend to come here.

Great establishment everything about this place is great. The owner Andy is a very nice gentleman and makes it a priority for his customers to have the greatest time. The bartenders are fast and make every drink to perfection. Ask for serina at the bar she will get you right one of the best. Thank you joystick you definitely have my business.

Best place in Merced! From the food to the atmosphere to the drinks! I went with a group of friends and everyone had a great time! The bartender Jose made us feel at home and kept serving us great drinks. Excited to bring my kids soon!

Love the Brussels, love the fries, love the VIBE! Old school quarter arcade games, karaoke room available, a big open room with high ceilings and the owner's taken care to attend to alllllll the details. I really love this place for Merced and especially love the games upstairs - darts, Cornhole, shuffleboard, Jenga, connect four, am I forgetting anything? It's such a fun, one of a kind place. Nice, open eating area with big booths downstairs and tons of video games, air hockey, big screens, music. I <3 Joystiq!

A very versatile hangout spot with helpful staff. Arcade games are fun, few cute photo op areas and overall has an aesthetic vibe. Karaoke is reasonably priced but there were a few technical issues... Room has disco lights & fairly wide options of songs. It was very busy and there was a line to get in after some point.

This place is awesome! I'm pretty sure Merced has not had something this cool in at least the 13 years that I've lived here.

This is a very large space with a sizable bar (Cheers style) in the middle, surrounded by tables and an arcade. There are plenty of TVs around the bar and walls. There is a 2nd floor with an area for table-top games, cornhole, one of those long sandy shuffleboard things, a punching bag game, foosball, connect four, several cocktail cabinet games, darts, and a small room for karaoke.

Most of the video games were working (but not all). There is a curved air hockey table, pool table, skeeball (which was not working), and several pinball machines. Video games take quarters, and there are 2 change machines.

While there are a few 25¢ games, most are 50¢ or $1. I didn't eat here this time, so I'll have to rate that later.

The place is new and can get crowded, but is fine if you go before the evening/night scene starts up. I'll definitely be returning.

My first time visiting and it was awesome! The seating was great and the food was good. It took a while to understand the layout but it works. The games were cool, but some were broken or just weird to figure out. The broken ones usually had some sort of tape or error screen though, so it wasn’t too bad. The food was good!

I had a chance to visit Joystiq this weekend and Kandace took care of my cousins and I super fast, not to mention her drinks are amazing! The vibe was fun and carefree. Music was great!

Great place to hang out with the homies. Have some drinks and get some wings or a burger. Food is decent when you're sober and down right delicious after 4 or 5 cocktails. 10/10 would recommend 👌
