They have a lot of beautiful properties but they are limited to persons with a larger rental budget.

Update: long awaited and after sending a demand letter - they finally gave a portion of it back.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Awful service. Never do any repairs. Harassed me over browning grass during a pandemic and a water shortage/drought.
Then they took my entire $2700 deposit for repairs that were never completed prior to move in. Those items are even stated in the move in inspection and they are still trying to charge. DO NOT rent from them if you have an option!!!!!

This rental company gave a decent house at a good price when I first moved down to Chowchilla. However, never followed up on any maintenance issues that I called about. When I moved out where I paid double deposit for “credit issues” they utilized both deposits as a means to pay for alleged damaged items and repairs. It took them 4 months to finally issue me a refund check of a whole $331. When I asked them repeatedly for 4 months , no one could ever give me and clear answer and constantly passed the issue on to someone else or just never replied. Come to find out the owner ended up selling the house and the “repairs” noted on the receipt weren’t even all completed (I only moved to the house Nextdoor, and my cameras can see who comes and goes). After reading the reviews when I first experienced these issues it appears I wasn’t the first and not the last either I'm guessing. Renters beware! If you can help it, don’t rent from this company.

I've called multiple times in reference to their tree that has knocked down a fence .
Have been promised everything, yet absolutely nothing has been done. Not even as much as sending someone out to see the damage. Its been over three weeks.
Couldn't imagine renting from them and an emergency arises.
You would be waiting forever.
Extremely poor customer service.

The Gonella Property management (GPM) is the worst “SLUMLORD” company with rude, unethical, and unprofessional staff you would ever see in this whole universe. Please stay away from them. I will write my personal experience on how they treat tenants and how they rip off landlords. Please take a moment to read through.
I rented one of GPM managed property in June 2016. During my entire stay, getting service and maintenance from this SLUMLORD was extremely difficult. For a minor problem you need to make calls 10-20 times before someone shows up. They hire unprofessional and unethical vendor who will block your full day for a simple repair. They will give you morning times and shows up in the evening. The repair wait time varies for few weeks to months. I submitted dishwasher repair request in March, and it was fixed in November. The fence of property was broken. One can easily cross from one home to another home. They took more than two years to fix the fence. During November 2020, the peak of COVID-19 pandemic and during state emergency (stay home order) and to retaliate me they gave me 60 days “No Fault Just Cause” move-out notice. I requested them to extend it for few more weeks. They would not budge on my request. They would not forward my requests to landlord and keep declining my request to extend move out date. They even didn’t offer relocation assistance as permitted by law on no fault just cause move out. They filed eviction in January 2021. I requested GPM to not file or withdraw eviction as eviction takes at least 8-10 weeks to process and I will move out before that. All they said, they want to spoil my credit history and add eviction to my record. They work with attorney who has no ethics and waste landlord’s money. I moved out in March 2021. They didn’t withdraw the eviction case. In my opinion it cost about additional $10,000 for landlord in this lawsuit. During August 2022, Landlord and attorney realized they have no chances winning the lawsuit and then they agreed to withdraw the case. What a SLUMLORD MANAGEMENT. I even didn’t hire an attorney. All I did is documented everything neat and clean. What is slap a on Gonella property management face!!! SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!
This story could be long. In one line I suggest AVOID them at any cost.

Now let me share some feedback for the landlords. Landlords stay away from them. They are rip off and you will never recognize it unless some tenant tells you.
They wasted about $10,000 to my landlord for no reason on the eviction which they could have avoided.

Once my dishwasher sprayer was broken. I was thinking to replace it myself as replacement sprayer was selling on Amazon for $22. You just put it on the holder (no installation required). But somehow, I called the Gonella. The vendor came and he replaced whole dishwasher. I was shocked. For $22 sprayer replacement they are replacing dishwasher and that would cost about $1000 to landlord!!! I asked vendor why they are doing it. They said it’s old. Well, Blah! Blah!! Blah!!! This is RIP OFF. Owner might be billed for $400 dishwasher and installation cost of a few hundred dollars. I reported this to Gonella, but they keep hiring same vendor again and again.
On another occasion, vendor sealed a cat door (between garage and home). For putting $2 tape, and one minute of time, the landlord was charged over $100. The brand-new door itself cost $18 at Lowes.
One another occasion there was issue with AC. The vendor came and cleaned the exhaust line. It took about 5 minutes for him and landlord was charged $495. I have a copy of receipt which was charged to landlord. Such a rip off!!!
I always questioned Gonella why they hire only these vendors, but they keep making stories.
Landlords, I hope this will give a you sense on their business practices. Stay away from these rip offs!!!
