Welcome to Napa Valley Sign (South)

This is an absolute must-visit spot in Napa Valley, whether you're a tourist or a local! When driving towards Saint Helena, it can be a bit challenging to make a left turn and pull over due to heavy oncoming traffic. However, I highly recommend making the effort to stop on your way back for a fantastic photo opportunity with friends and family. The gravel area can be a bit steep, so it would be great if the county could consider smoothing it out, especially given the high number of visitors who stop here.

Great view and awesome pictures. Always report drunk drivers, we got to experience one :/ than scared the kids and visitors.

There’s beautiful scenery and a large area to pull over. But you won’t have a quiet place. The cars are flying by.

There’s almost always a lot of vehicles here so most likely someone. Will be around to take a pic for you. There’s wineries on all sides too so you can see the vines and grapes. It’s quite beautiful. And if you’re lucky, you’ll get to see the wine train stop in and listen to them do a tasting!!!

The iconic south Welcome to Napa Valley sign. Probably photographed 300 times a day Friday-Sunday by passersby and wine train riders. I filmed this short video with my drone early in the summer. Even though I live here, I never tire of the beauty that surrounds me. I think that shows in this video.

If you are planning to visit the wineries, start early. You might even want to spend more than one day. Lots of history and places to visit.

What a fantastic opportunity to take a souvenir photo and always other people there to take your photo.

There are 2 signs of this in highway 29. This is an iconic sign to commemorate a visit in the Napa Valley. Free to take pictures for the Napa Valley visitors. I would recommend passing by early in the day or late in the afternoon to avoid the crowds. The parking for this sign is only a dirt road and no formal parking designation, so please make sure to park safely so that your car will not be in the way of other cars. You also take pictures on your own, no usher or staff to tell you when you can take pictures. The current practice of the visitors who pass by this sign is to wait for the current group to finish before you can take your group's pictures. And, if its a busy day, you do need to wait in line. 😀

A wonderful place not only for wine lovers but also for everyone. Better to visit in September. They also host a music festival from June to July too. Great selection of wine for tasting and purchase. We love this place so much ...

7/18/23 Tuesday what beautiful place is Napa to Calistoga. So many wineries with water fountain, sculptures, restaurants, Napa valley train, faithful geyser, oxbow market n many more attractions.

I knew a was a Cali girl at heart, and Napa confirmed it! ¡SALUD!🥂

It is a nice sign for a brief stop for a photo, only if you are passing by. It is not worth drive just to see it.

Open to the public seven days a week no charge

No trip to Napa is complete without a stop at this sign! A few tips:

- Go in the morning if possible. The sign faces east, so afternoon shots will be tough with the back lighting.

- Great place to take pictures with grape vines!! Save your road pull-off shots for this spot.

- Kind of hairy exit since this is on a fast road without a real driveway. Be careful and exit the parking lot from the middle.

Napa valley is number 1 destination for the visitors. We enjoyed a lot over that place. I had heard about that place and I used to dream about that place. I got chance to see that with my eye. This sign is world famous and it is good to take pictures.
We stop by that sign only to take pictures and will also recommend you to visit this place.

Wine tasting is what you make it I go ever so often but just for the ride the venues are wonderful the scenes are even better and you should go at least once more

Took the picture on our way out around 6:45 pm and there was no wait. Much easier to have someone take the photo of you or have a tripod. Plenty of space to park next to train tracks.

Had drove to this point just to get the picture of this sign and I am not regretting at all. It was worthy to spend little bit time to reach there😀😀😀😀😀

Great location for pictures. Wasn’t hard to find. Literally side of busy road. The vineyards made for a beautiful backdrop.
