My favorite liquor store in the area. Great selection of ciders, beers and wines. Friendly and helpful stuff. :)

I love this bottle shop. They have a great selection of craft beers and a very extensive variety of wines/spirits. The staff there is super friendly and I usually catch myself sticking around for a small conversation. Thanks for being great.

The Bottle Shoppe is a place created and run by enthusiasts. They regularly host tastings with interesting producers. The shelves are astonishingly well stocked with unique varietals. The folks behind the counter are well informed. It's the perfect kind of place to go if you want to bring an interesting bottle of something to dinner, but aren't very knowledgeable on the topic. You might pay an extra dollar or so for the knowledge and variety, but it's well worth it.

Really appreciate the help picking out a bottle today! He wasn't pushy and went right for the price point I was looking at.

Not your typical corner liquor store. This may as well be a beer museum - there's so much variety!!!

Good selection. But... how about putting prices on the bottles or where the bottles are placed on the shelves... had to go ask for a price check a few times from the Vodka section.

It's convenient because it's close. If you want a place with a real craft beer, spirit, and wine selection in Long Beach check out California Heights Market or Corked Bixby.

Liquor stores going full secondary pricing on allocated whiskeys is a big part of the problem in the industry. Most liquor stores develop relationships with their more loyal shoppers and use various methods, like a lottery system, to give people a chance to buy the allocated whiskeys at retail. Marking up what looks to be your entire allocation of things like Old Forester Birthday Bourbon (4 bottles from what I saw) and Parker's Heritage (4 or 5 bottles) to 4 to 8 times retail is absurd. When I see liquor stores with large inventory of allocated whiskeys in cases marked up to secondary, I know not to shop there. And it's obviously not just a supply/demand consideration. If you have that many bottles left, people aren't buying them at those prices.

It's your whiskey. You can do what you want, but I will not shop at stores that engage in this practice. If I'm going to pay that much for a bottle, I'll just jump onto the secondary websites or find a way to trade.

If you want to hang on to a bottle or two and try get some extra profit and lottery out the rest at retail, or you want to mark up your allocation 1.5-2x to capture the increased demand, that's reasonable. What you're doing is gouging, plain and simple.

This seems like it's probably a great liquor store, but super frustrated that I just talked with them on the phone at 8:15pm about a specific liquor, told them I'll see you in a bit, drove there, parked and got to the door at 8:30pm and they were locked up and gone. Supposed to be open til 9. Thanks to the other reviewer suggesting California Heights Market - I'll try them tomorrow!

Went into this store to buy something and all of a sudden I hear the explicit version of “Hard Knock Life” by Jay Z playing in the background where I of course heard the “N” word. Not a huge fan of that to begin with, not to mention I was the only black person in the store. Won’t be returning. I believe that establishments should be more culturally sensitive and avoid playing vulgar music (especially those with racial slurs) that can offend clientele.

Drunk cashier shouting insults and ridiculing customer's appearance while trying to pay for items.

This establishment is anti-union.
