North Block Hotel

We had an incredible stay at The North Block. We were blown away by the hospitality, grounds and attention to detail we enjoyed from every staff member on site. The staff consistently went extra lengths, replacing an accidentally broken bottle of product, calling us soon after we departed about a found item, greeted us with champagne, gave us extra Koller chocolates, and more. Everything on site was elegant, modern, peaceful, and comfortable. We highly recommend staying here and plan to return one day again.

We had a phenomenal stay at the North Block, welcomed by a lovely team and a glass of wine, we especially enjoyed just relaxing at the pool. We visited during the Easter weekend and had the whole pool and hot tub to ourselves. We were looked after like VIPs by Adal, who ensured we had everything we needed. Then dinner in the restaurant was fab as well. We also borrowed the bicycles and cycled along to the bakery in the morning, which was lovely. The towels were fluffy and the bed was super comfy.

Such a great experience here. The property is lovely, rooms are very comfortable, spacious, great bed. The staff was friendly and accommodating especially Christian.

We had the most incredible experience at the North Block Hotel this week. From the attention to detail the second we walked into the hotel, to the amazing service we received throughout from everyone; our visit was nothing short of fantastic.

When we arrived we were greeted by Christian at the front desk who greeted us by name. He Him, Carter, and a few others at the hotel really made our first time in Napa memorable and special. We also enjoyed some of the most delicious food at the hotel restaurant. The menu is exquisite. I recommend adding the toast and jam as a side to any breakfast plate. The spa was also incredible and Bianca really worked wonders on my back and with my facial. Our room was very clean and the room service ladies came by every night with chocolates and a personalized card. It really made our trip feel special. We cannot wait to return to the North Block and make this our little Napa home away from home. I can’t rave about how incredible our stay was.

I just had the best experience here. All of the staff are so nice and so wonderful; super helpful. Christian helped us check in and he was so lovely. The beds are the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept on. Their bathrooms are amazing and beautiful. (I loved that they had a bathroom scale in the bathroom, too). The hotel property is super pretty (excellent for photos). And the hotel location is perfect - you’re under 10 minutes from the majority of all the wineries. I would undoubtedly stay here again, and cannot recommend this place enough to anyone looking for a hotel near Napa Valley.

Staff was so great! We walked up to the restaurant, there was room at the bar so we ordered drinks and appetizers and the drinks were on point and I was really impressed with the fresh ousters, they were delicious!!! We will be back for sure!

Our experience at North Block Hotel this year in July was nothing short of phenomenal. We had stayed at North Block for 3 nights last year in September of 2022 and liked it enough to return but we did have some service snags that year. I have a severe food allergy (that would ruin a trip) and no one seemed to be able to help either before or while we were there with if the on site restaurant could safely accommodate OR with local restaurants that could.
This year, however, from the start, the service was 5-star. We entered the lobby and were greeted by Carter, the Guest Services Supervisor. He was so pleasant, welcoming and made us feel completely at home. He went above & beyond to make sure we felt welcome and celebrated (it was also our honeymoon). He continued to be a joy to talk with throughout our stay.
Another highlight was the spa experience. Carlos was my therapist and - though I have gotten about a million massages in my life - this was one of THE BEST.
Finally, I want to give special thanks and recognition to the restaurant, chef & staff at the hotel. This year, on our first day, we were sitting outside enjoying a glass of wine and just chatting with a server and she had EXTENSIVE knowledge of their menu, how it could be adapted for me food allergy & made us feel so comfortable that we booked a reservation for the next night. The North Block Restaurant is not to be missed - such a creative menu, super fresh seafood and great chef & staff. Haley was our server and she was amazing - she knew exactly how we could adapt dishes to be gluten-free or was willing to ask. We had one of the best meals we'd had in YEARS and it far surpassed our experience this year at Bouchon. Special thanks to the restaurant - it was such a pleasure to me to enjoy pancakes, potato pave, fresh seafood & dessert, all gluten-free.
It's worth the investment to stay at North Block. Truly a serene and amazing experience; we'll be back!

Highly recommended, defiantly not the cheapest place to stay (but on par with the area). We had a king room which benefited from a front and rear patio, lots of seating options around the property too. Nice big bathroom with double sinks along with separate bath and shower. Room and properly well kept and service was excellent too. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Davis & Christian were the best! The hotel rooms were so spacious and the bed/sheets were so comfortable. This hotel really thought of everything (cozy fire places in rooms, bath salts for the large bath tub, heated floors in the bathroom, etc). The staff was extremely knowledge on local places to eat, drink visit etc. Davis and Christian tended to all our needs, they were wonderful. thank you! 100% staying here again.

We have stayed at several properties in Yountville. North Block is now absolutely our favorite.

The room is immaculately kept and well appointed. The property is beautiful-from the courtyard, pool area, to cozy lobby, there is no shortage of places to just sit and relax.

The location at the end of town cannot be beat. We walked in and out of town multiple times every day but still enjoyed being a little bit out of the hustle and bustle. The hotel provided complimentary cruising bikes which we borrowed for a long gorgeous ride through the vineyards just outside of town.

All that said, the absolute BEST thing about this hotel is the people. ever person we interacted with has been unbelievably kind, friendly, and so helpful. Carter at the front carries himself with the professionalism and authority of a true leader while remaining completely approachable and helpful.

We travel to Yountville often but will never stay anywhere else.

This was one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed at. The rooms were spacious, well decorated, and attention was paid to every detail. Even the bathroom was phenomenal! This boutique hotel is quiet, clean, and perfect for a weekend getaway. Easy walking distance to several tasting rooms and a short bike ride to vineyards. The staff was accommodating and friendly! I cannot say enough good things about this place.

Amazing staff and such nice rooms. Everything felt very clean and the amenities were fantastic.

This is prob not the typical review, as I did not have the opportunity to actually stay at North Block as planned due to the very sad and unexpected passing of my father the week prior to our stay. There are additional details I could go into, but I don’t want to wait until the end to share how incredibly empathetic and intentional the hotel’s representative, Carter, was in making sure we were completely refunded the entire total, even though we were way outside of the 14 day cancellation window. I know this was probably an accounting nightmare for a small hotel, but they made it happen- even when I offered to pay half or just take the credit for a later date, they offered a full refund.

In addition, Carter gave me his contact info so that he could assist me in planning our next trip to Napa. This above and beyond service spoke volumes to me about North Block and their staff and desire to take care of their guests. Thank you, North Block and Carter for showing me a piece of God’s provision and presence during an incredibly difficult time! I look forward to eventually thanking you in person!

We have chosen to stay at North Block 4 of the last 6 visits we have made to Napa Valley. We have also stayed at 2 other 5 star luxury resorts in the area, but once we stayed at North Block, we have never looked back. The service is second to none - down to earth and kind, but professional and thoughtful. From Carter at the front desk to everyone you encounter on property, they are clearly motivated to make sure you have a lovely stay. We love the location of the property. Yountville is easily walkable and there are so many wonderful restaurants and nice tasting rooms in town. We have used the e-bikes and had a great time tooling around town on those. The property is just a stone’s throw from the “Vine Path”, which is great for walkers, runners or bikers wanting to burn off some of the great food & wine calories. We also loved walking
next door to R&D Kitchen and having cocktails and an app on their wonderful outdoor patio. The community outdoor area of North Block itself is so lovely - comfy outdoor sofas and the team lights the patio heaters and fireplace when the weather is cooler, as well as brings blankets and reminds you to take advantage of their daytime and evening happy hour wine and liquor offerings. We love the pool and hot tub area, as well. They keep the area pristine and stocked w fluffy towels and remind you that if you need anything, there is a house phone at the pool to reach them. They were so kind to bring us wine while we were enjoying the hot tub. I believe there are only 20 rooms on property and it is adults only. It never feels crowded, but is also not “too quiet”. Folks who stay there seem low key, friendly and quietly classy :) The rooms themselves are spotless and are so thoughtfully & tastefully decorated. They are quite large - especially the bathrooms. Just a wonderful, peaceful oasis. The on site restaurant was closed for renovations while we were there most recently. As a result, the staff brought the breakfast you selected the night before directly to your room at a requested time each morning. For us, this was even better than having breakfast at the restaurant - basically breakfast in bed in our cozy North Block robes. The beds are amazing - so comfortable. Every night we got into bed, I commented how much I loved the bed. Overall, North Block is an amazing home base for a trip to Napa. It’s like your own home - but even better and with a staff that will do all they can to ensure you are taken care of throughout your stay. We can’t recommend North Block and their team highly enough and we hope to visit again soon.

Highest of recommendations! I have stayed in many "high-end" hotels, and the rooms at North Block are in the top 3. The onsite restaurant and loaner bikes were a huge perk. My wife and i are already planning a return visit to Yountville and plan to stay at North Block again.

Really all around fantastic hotel. Rooms were modern spacious and really nice. Personnel was friendly helpful and some of the best I’ve experienced. Parking was easy with multiple EV chargers for hotel guests. The restaurant was equally as good with fabulous dishes. I would highly recommend North Block Hotel to anyone going to Yountville or Napa valley area.

Beautiful and comfortable hotel in downtown Yountville. right next to RD kitchen. Staff are amazing leading by Carter Dodds who is all about going above and beyond for his customers with zero reservations. I cannot tell you how satisfied we were by their exceptional customer service. They made our stay extra enjoyable. Thank you north block hotel! You created a memorial experience for our time in Yountville. The only regret we had was I didn’t have a chance to try the restaurant but we will next time.

I am so glad we booked a night here. We had not stayed in Yountville before but enjoyed it. There certainly are cheaper options, but we thought this place was worth it.

North Block is a charming, quiet, well maintained hotel with a European feel. It is located within walking distance of the numerous excellent restaurants in Yountville. The most pleasing aspect of this hotel is its professional, courteous, and attentive staff. Our stay was outstanding, and we are particularly grateful for the exceptional hospitality extended to us by Carter, David, and Daniel in the front office. All three gentlemen are exceptional. While we travel nationally and internationally, we look forward to our next stay at the North Block Hotel.
