A cute organized little bakery with delicious savory goods 😋. Prices here are decent. The potato balls are big, cheesy, crunchy on the outside, and tasted delicious. Bigger than other locations. My friend who doesn’t like potato balls, liked the ones at this location. There are a variety of unique empanada choices. The empanadas are yummy. The Tres Leches Latte drink is good. The food was so yummy, that I placed two additional orders right after finishing my first order. I was munching. Our orders came out quickly. Food comes with sauces on the side. We came on a Friday afternoon, not crowded. Friendly customer service. Limited amount of seating. Plenty of parking spots in this plaza. I’m looking forward to trying more menu items at this location!

Rating my personal experience at Obra a 5 out of 5. Always on the lookout for a great breakfast or brunch place or bakery and I happen to stumble upon Obra Bakery and I absolutely loved our multiple visits there. Not sure about the negative reviews left by some but my family and I had a grand time! The empanadas plus their special sauce is a must try! Impressed by the creative take on the empanada — they really owned the presentation and recipe. I also recommend their espresso-based drinks. You can dine in or have your orders to go.

This place was nothing short of amazing, this was my first time so I didn’t know what to get but their friendly workers answered all my questions, so I went with the empanadas and potato balls. The chicken curry empanada was my favorite but the Cuban one was a close one too! The potato balls were cheesy, crispy and filling they have alot of options and I can’t wait to come back to try more. I’d say this place is very comparable to Porto’s and if not even better!

Potato balls were bigger and crispier than Porto's. Also had cheese, which was a nice touch. Were they tastier? I would say it's a toss up. I definitely think it's worth a try. They are having a hard time keeping up with demand given the Instagram popularity. Kept seeing the notes about lines, so I came here early. Ordered half a dozen empanadas and four potato balls. Got here around 8:45am on Saturday morning. Line wasn't bad at that time. Waited about 8-10 minutes to get to ordering and less than 5 minutes to get my order. I hear the wait can be bad, so I recommend getting here early. Also because I hear they run out of things.

The empanadas were solid. They didn't need the dipping sauce because they had enough flavor on their own, but it was nice to have. Wasn't expecting to see a burrito flavor, so I had to give that a shot. It was my favorite of the four I tried (chicken, beef & potato, breakfast).

Staff was very friendly. Looking forward to seeing them get the help they need to keep up with the increased demand. They seem to have great sandwich options, but couldn't try any because kitchen is closed. They are not currently taking online or call-in orders, only walk-ins. Parking is limited - all the more reason to arrive early.

Things are a bit pricey, but that’s everywhere these days. For my order, I paid nearly $50.

Definitely a locals favorite. I got two empanadas which were great. There are croissants and other bakery goods but no donuts as near as I could tell.
There’s a couple of tables, outdoor seating and one or two inside and that’s about it. Pretty small place so come prepared to get it to go or wait for a table. You will not be disappointed, if you like Latin American food and bakery goods.

We randomly tried this place because it was near our hotel and it was so good we came back two more times! We tried the breakfast burrito, BBQ pork empanada, chocolate chip cookie, chicken ball, latte, and hot chocolate and everything was so good and flavorful. The breakfast burrito is the best one I've ever had, I'm not joking. The whole staff was super nice and helpful. Highly recommend!

I recently tried the potato balls at Obra Bakery in Long Beach, and they were absolutely delicious! The perfect blend of flavors and the texture was spot on. The overall experience was delightful, with friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend trying the potato balls if you visit. Can’t wait to go back for more!

I’m so sad I didn’t find you sooner! The empanadas were super tasty and the sandwiches were just what I wanted for lunch today. Service was fast and friendly and everything tasted great. I did make the mistake of not adding a tres leches cake to the order and had to make an impulse purchase at the counter.

Porto’s who? This place is amazing. Family owned, fresh delicious food. Tres leche latte and potato balls were delicious! Chocolate cigar and Cuban sand which were also scrumptious. I was just in town visiting friends but we went here at least twice during the visit because everything we ordered was a hit!

So delicious! Great empanada's. So many too chose from. Great pastries. You can't go wrong. Must try!!

Great empanadas! First time here. I ordered online, went and picked it up. Looked good. Tasted good. I ordered 1 chicken 1 beef 1 pork 1 gluten free and 1 potato ball. The gluten free one was pretty good. Different than the more bready non gluten free ones, but decent. The chicken one was filled with chicken. They are about the size of my whole hand, so a good size. I ate the whole chicken one, half of the potato ball and half of the gluten free and was pretty full. The desserts looked amazing but I didn't try them. Maybe next time!

Change a one star to a five star. A one star was given due to survey needed a star to complete this survey. Did not realize that it means a not a good place for your business. The atmosphere looks like a great place to enjoy eating there.

This place is new but the same owners as before. They survived the pandemic so far but we need to support the local shops. I did not realize it changed and decided to walk down to get an empanada.....and what a wonderful surprise! First of all the woman behind the counter was just lovely. So sweet and kind. She answered all of my questions and gave me a little sample. I got the Cuban Empanada and Vegan Empanada and the Guava dessert. I will be back for the Tres Leche Cake! It looked amazing! And the cake slices are HUGE!

This is literally a hidden gem! I drove all the way down to LA for a trip and planned to make a visit to this bakery instead of Porto's because I found this diamond on Instagram, which stated their potato balls are better. I had to prove this to myself!

I ordered the following:
- chicken, jalapeño, veggie, and Cuban empanadas
- the almond guava cookie
- the chocolate cake
- the peach and dulce de Leche turnover
- coconut macaroons
- the chicken square pie
- hot latte
- iced dulce de Leche latte
- and the famous beef potato balls along with the chicken potato balls

I know I ordered a lot, but how often will I get to come here?! Everything here tastes amazing, especially when they're freshly baked and hot!

The best empanalas of my life! I found this place randomly, because once a week I visit this area for work, and every time I go around here, I have lunch in this place! The price is super! For 2 empanadas with coffee you pay only $ 12. The staff is always friendly and helpful, making this place even more beloved. Must visit!

Empanadas! This is why I like to stop here when I do go their way. Their empanadas are uniquely made and very flavorful. They have chicken, beef and chorizo combinations that are quite tasty. They make other fillings like potato but these are my favorites. Each one is stamped with a name to describe what’s inside. You can buy a few of them to take home or you can get one or two with a coffee or a cafe mocha. They have outdoor seating if you want to enjoy your empanadas al fresco.

Delicious, perfectly cooked. This food has food from many counties but I ordered the Colombian dish and oh my goat I got nostalgia. There’s variety here and superb service and super clean, I’m taking empanadas and coffee to go.

Cute shop with delicious empanadas and giant potato balls. The cookies and cakes are delicious, and the service is amazing.
