Upon arriving we were greeted with great service and that only got better throughout the entire duration of our sit, our server Avais was extremely knowledgeable and friendly to us while seated at the bar. He let us sample our wine and made sure we would be satisfied with our choices. Further, he went in to great detail explaining the menu and made it very easy to choose what to go with.

The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend Funke!

Great food, services and seamless operations. Every dish is a composition of fresh, quality, flavorful ingredients. White truffle season. We had the luck of Chef Evan Funke generously shaving white truffles on the mushroom pizza. Pasta is bouncy and chewy. The aged steak is perfectly cooked. Sommelier super helpful finding a good Barolo, good vintage, floral, and reasonably priced. Had drinks on the roof top bar afterward. Reservation remains challenging; slots taken up fast so set alarms to book (via array).

My sister brought me here for a special birthday celebration and I found both the service and the food to be no less than outstanding. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by very hospitable staff who seemed excited to be working there. I found the atmosphere to be elegantly sophisticated, and the nouveau art deco design elements were stunning. Just like at Chef Funke’s other outstanding restaurant Mother Wolf, his food is transportive. My favorite dishes were the cippollina, focaccia, pesto trofie, corn agnolotti, and vongole linguini. We ended our fabulous meal with the strawberry granita, truly reminiscent of Sicily! It was divine and I can’t wait to visit again…

Great restaurant! Great food. The average rating is wrong. Loved everything we ordered: salad, squash blossom, fungi pizza with white truffle, pasta limone, mushroom pasta with white truffles, Florentine steak and the desserts!

What an incredible dining experience we had tonight. Chef Funke is a rockstar! My husband and I live just a few blocks away from the restaurant and we were really excited to give it a try. The space is so modern and beautifully designed. The rooftop is perfect for having drinks while you wait for your table. We sat down at the second floor bar. We loved the vibe, and the service was incredible. My husband has a dairy allergy. They went above and beyond to try to accommodate us. Leslie, the service manager was so gracious, and even though they don’t make modifications to the food, she really tried to help us pick dishes that could be modified. She made our night so special. The menu is similar to Mother Wolf and Felix. The pastas are some of the best we’ve had outside of Italy. The cocktails and wine selection are superb. The prime ribeye cap was so tender and delicious. We can’t wait to come back to this restaurant. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Absolutely delicious. Huge fan of Mother Wolf and of course Felix.

I saw a dumb review asking “why would Evan Funke open another restaurant in LA”. Felix is in Venice and Mother Wolf is in Hollywood. LA is a massive city and his restaurants are already difficult enough to get reservations for so why would we not want an even better chance? Not to mention this location is central to a ton of people in the city.

As for the food. It’s all the stuff you get from Mother Wolf and Felix, so I don’t think you’re going to get really anything new but it is consistent and amazing.

The rooftop is also awesome. When we were done with dinner our “captain” got us a table upstairs to have some desert.

The meal was reasonably priced for the quality and portions.

5/5 I’m going to be coming here a good amount because it’s much closer to me than his other 2 locations. Very happy this location opened and I’m even happier it lived up to the hype I had built in my head prior to going.

Absolutely delicious pasta, as expected from a chef dedicated to that aspect of culinary art. Pasta was cooked al dente and sauces were perfectly seasoned. Combined it was a divine dining experience. The only item of the night that was a bit lack luster were the squash blossoms. Fried to perfection but under-seasoned and lacking in pizzazz compared to the rest of the meal.
Cocktails were great, well balanced. Even the wine by the glass was of a high quality.
The desserts were just as high quality as the pasta. Panna cotta was beautifully presented and had subtle flavors that worked well together. The sorbet tasted of the season’s ripest peaches.
Highly recommended and would return in the future.

Amazing restaurant, as should be expected from Chef Funke. There are some familiar star dishes from his other restaurants, as well as some new and unique dishes. I’m pregnant, so I appreciated their ability to make fun mocktails. The little stories behind some of the menu items / cocktails are charming. The art and decor is also incredible! It’s like a museum with original Basquiat and Warhol paintings.
The real stars of the evening were our servers, Hannah and Alvin. They were so informed and just lovely to interact with. If you get the opportunity to be sat with either of them, count yourself lucky and prepare for some fun conversation and great recommendations.
Make sure to pop up to the rooftop bar afterward for dessert!

Yesterday I celebrated my birthday with my family at Funke. Oliver Clowes, the exceptional GM, orchestrated a seamless experience – from the meticulous setup to securing an early table for my family, who arrived ahead of schedule from Laguna. A special nod to his gracious accommodation for my 88-year-old grandmother, ensuring a first-class experience despite our early arrival.

Also, Emmanuel and our waiter provided impeccable service, blending professionalism with genuine personal warmth. According to my sister and her fiancé, it was the standout dinner of the year, and I couldn't agree more. The culinary journey, from the divine burrata to the artistry of handmade pastas, showcased freshness and originality.

My mother, a connoisseur of panna cotta from Michelin-starred establishments, sang praises for Funke's rendition. She said, it is the best she's ever had, applauding its extraordinary uniqueness, the delightful interplay of flavors and unparalleled lightness.

Funke offers the expertly crafted Italian staples that chef Evan Funke is best known for.

Food was absolutely fantastic everything was cooked to perfection, especially the pasta. The menu has a good amount of variety and you could definitely visit multiple times without exhausting all the options.

The cocktail menu is pretty expansive and offers both classic and creative choices. If you like Amari there are many options and a number of negroni variants to select. Wine menu features a large variety of Italian wines. Plenty of options by the glass as well so it's a great opportunity to try something new!

Atmosphere is fun and energetic. The decor is trendy Italian modern with multiple levels and high ceilings.

Service team was knowledgeable and made good recommendations. At times a little overbearing but that comes with a brand new restaurant. Valet parking is available behind the restaurant in the alley.

Overall a fantastic experience that manages to stand out amongst Funke's great restaurants. I will definitely be coming here again.

The food at Funke was outstanding. Some of the best Italian food I have ever had. We started with the persimmons and burratta which were fresh and delicious. The rigatoni with the guanciale is war ending. Unbelievably good. Every bite was mind-blowing. If you're in Beverly Hills you have to go here.

Evan Funke’s pastas are of course the main attraction but other dishes were fantastic too: fried artichoke, focaccia, pizza and pana cotta dessert.

Expensive but good. Mushroom pizza is more like a flatbread. Wouldn’t recommend. The Cipollina Catanes puff pastry is amazing. So is the almond pesto pasta and their Agnolotti. Drinks are also great but again very expensive.

Service was great- I especially reccomend the pasta.

I didn’t like the steak though- was quite fatty/oily. Deserts were also okay but not extra-special.

Truly excellent food and hospitality. We brought our daughter who is 5. We were originally worried that a spot in Beverly Hills would not want to deal with kids. Couldn't be further from the truth, our server was Hanna she was very nice and made experience great. We had squash blossoms, all the pastas we had where where spot on but particularly the butter nut squash in brown butter with sage and Bolognese where a level above any pasta ive ever had.

Celebrating my Birthday at Funke was absolute perfection! The service was superb, ambience excellent, and omg the homemade pastas, focaccia bread, and pizzas are to die for. I always loved Felix but I think Funke is on another level! I can not wait to return to the “Tri Level Pasta Mansion”! ❤🍝

I mean it's Funke. Celebrity sightings, ambiance that elevates from just dinner to an "experience" and delectable, authentic Italian cuisine. The pappardelle, crab cake and pizza were masterclass and the gelato and donuts (I forget the Italian name, sorry) were incredible dishes too. This place is an excellent experience for friends, special occasion or a romantic date. Recommended!
