Train Wreck Bar & Grill

They have been on my radar along with Railroad Pizza which I have to try next. Decided to try for a lunch date. They were busy! Good sign for a Tuesday. We were lucky and were sat right away. Our server was great, she didn't write anything down and remembered everything. Their alcoholic drinks are legit and tasty but a little pricey. I loved that they make a lot of shares in house. I got a side salad with honey mustard dressing and it came with a fresh warm roll, honestly that piece of bread was my favorite thing I had! 😂 I got the southwest veggie burger and you could tell they make their own patty, I liked it. Had a nice little crunch on the outside. The aoli complemented it perfectly. My partner got the fried oysters which he has never had before and loved. He also got the seared ahi tacos and they definitely don't skimp out on the tuna steak in those tacos! The ladies at the table next to us all got salads and they were huge and looked so good. We were both satisfied with our visit. Quick service, great food, nice atmosphere with cool brick walls. I would definitely come back but want to try the sister spot first!

Come here in the summer and find a seat in the back to get the full Trainwreck experience as your silverware shakes from the train passing by a mere 20 feet from the building.

Their birra torta is fire, and their drinks are decent. It's always a good option for both and love that they come up with new options throughout the year. Breakfasts are awesome if you can make it that early 😀

This place is a gem! Go there, if your in the area. All aspects of this place are amazing!!! One of my top 5 breakfast/drink spots in all my travels. BRAVO

GREAT service, food and drinks every time. I really appreciate the amount of options to accomodate dietary preferences/requirements. As someone who is gluten intolerant, I can always find good options for my food choices. Their Brussel Hash has always been a favorite of mine. I also love getting the burger and subbing out salmon. It's delish!

They also have great swag and branding, which I appreciate as a local and as a marketing professional.

They are age 21+. They're a go-to for a brunch date spot for me and my husband.

The ahi tuna tacos and ahi salad were delicious and well priced. The staff was prompt, professional and well versed on the beer and cider selections.

The food here is absolutely amazing. If you are ever in the area, it is easily one of the best places around. The burgers here are some of the best in the state. They also have all of their own homemade sauces, that are incredible. The flavors are incredibly well put together. You can also buy bottles for a good price to take home. Their appetizers are perfectly prepared. The cheese curds are the closest to Wisconsin cheese curds I have had. 10/10.

This place seems small from the outside, but the atmosphere inside is great. The food was awesome, the beer selection is good and the drinks are ridiculous.

Awesome bar! Went for breakfast and had an amazing breakfast burrito. My dining companions had the waffles and the sausage gravy biscuits, I tried bites of both and the quality and flavor is absolutely top notch.

First time here and I must say this food is 🔥!! Service was excellent 👌 Really busy but after eating and drinking here I can see why. Highly recommend 😃

Though I live in Burlington this is my first time going to this establishment. The atmosphere was wonderful and the staff were very engaging. What totally blew my mind was that I ordered a dish that in my head I thought it was going to be something different, however presentation was very nice so I did start to eat it. The first bite was pretty good, but unfortunately subsequent bites were just not for me. When the waitress came to pick our dishes I asked that she take my mostly untouched food; she asked if I’d like something else, but I declined. While waiting for the bill the owner, Nick came to ask if he could get me something else, obviously wanting me to be happy with my choices. I kindly declined and Nick offered to take the meal off the bill. This made me feel awful because I truly do not complain and I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. Nick reassured me all was good…thank you, Nick and train wreck crew for your kindness! I will be back!! I gave 4 stars for the food due to those who joined me for the meal LOVED their food!

If you like big sandwiches with lots of meat and heaping amount of fries then this place is for you. The employees are super friendly, the restaurant has a nice feeling to it and when the train goes by, it just adds to the ambience.

This place was a surprise & delight to discover right in downtown Burlington Menu is different each time, variety of food choices chef here is very creative! They Roast their own organic coffees too!
Atmosphere is better in the back room seating for me.

They are consistently creative and innovative with both their food and cocktail choices. On my most recent visit I had the delicious huevos rancheros and a lovely brunch concoction of guava, OJ & prosecco. The presentation of both = top notch. Servers were attentive & friendly throughput our visit. Took a first-timer that can't wait to go back. Kudos all around.

Love it here. Food and drinks are always great. Always look forward to coming here. I always order one of two different things on the menu. Lately I've been venturing out and ordering something different, not disappointed at all.

Every time we are in town we have to stop here for our favorites. I love the mushroom burger and their apple pecan salad and my husband loves the buffalo burger. We've had many things on the breakfast and lunch/dinner menu and never been disappointed. They always have great beer on tap and their drink specials are enticing. Service is always excellent too. Their drinks are huge and strong!

Fantastic food! We haven’t had a meal this good in a while! The pretzel 🥨 knots were probably our favourite appetizer. The korean pork tacos and wild salmon salad were out of this world.
The chilli guava margarita was delicious 🤤and paired well with our meal!
We live an hour away and would make it a point to come back here :)

Brisket fritters (basically a Ruben in fried dough. Yes please!) Horseradish dip.

Daughter got tomato basil soup and rosemary cheese roll. The best in house made Caesar salad dressing.

I tried elk burger. YUM.

Prices were really good too!

Friday night at 8 pm ; We sat ourselves and there was no wait either. First time into this bar and it was definitely unique. Our booth was made out of a tree trunk. Our waitress was very cordial and got our drinks quickly. The hot rums were very delicious, and the gummy bear cocktail had no alcohol taste to it (tasted like a yummy lemonade, so it hid the alcohol well). We asked her many questions about the menu and she was very helpful. Such as; elk vs beef, about the pastrami, questions regarding gluten free / lactose free options, and about salads. Our appetizers came out quickly. The sweet potato fries were hot, crispy and fresh. The mango chili sauce was an awesome compliment to the fries. I got the clam chowder as an appetizer. It wasn't my favorite since the soup wasn't hot, and could have been thicker, but it still tasted good. The cheese curds were great; the red dipping sauce definitely had a unique and tangy flavor to it. We were split on our feelings about it. The food came shortly thereafter and we got 4 knockout meals. The one meal that wasn't as good was the crab cakes. My sister in law had to change the order a lot due to her dietary restrictions and she didn't like how her meal turned out. My wife's grilled cheese was oozing, on thick toasted bread, and the gouda made it extra soft and creamy. The tomato soup was very cheesy as well and the thick soup made the basil flavor shine. My elk burger (first time trying elk) was cooked to perfection, and the bacon on there was thick, and had a nice fatty flavor to compliment a leaner meat. My mother in law was in love with her reuben, especially the sauce that came on it. The salmon Cobb salad that my father in law got looked tasty; he loved it. The portions were massive so we all got to take home some food so we could get two meals for the price of one. Overall, a chill atmosphere, good drinks, great food, quick and friendly service, Friday night; this was definitely a five star experience and we will be back for more train wrecks in the Future!

Here from out of town. Had crunchy nice onion rings, a delicious burger and fried oysters and cod. The tartar sauce was yummy! I’d eat here again!
