I really can not say enough about Neil and my experience with Golden Rule. It was a difficult decision to sell my Grandmothers diamond bracelet, but due to unforeseen issues this year I was left with no choice. I’m new to the area and looked up local buyers. It’s always scary not knowing if you’re going to get screwed on the offer and lied to about the value. First, Neil could not have been more kind and amazing with me. He walked me through the process and gave me insight into the antique, diamond buying/selling market. He gave me a great offer on the bracelet and was patient with me when I asked for time to think about it. I also had an antique ring that needed to be fixed but other jewelry places told me it wasn’t possible to fix it and not have it look like a patch job. Not only did Neil get the ring fixed, but it matched the intricate details of the ring and looks amazing! He drove out of his way to give it to me a few days before Christmas too when my busy schedule had delayed pick up. Neil absolutely cares about his customers and his profession. I am so lucky to have found him!

I called Mr. Neil to inquire about a particular watch (Breitling for Bentley) that I’ve been interested in purchasing for a few years now. After having a conversation with Mr. Neil, I felt extremely comfortable because he was very transparent and open. What I loved the most is the fact that Mr. Neil stood on his word and delivered my watch exactly as promised. After receiving my watch, I was speechless at the quality he delivered. When I opened the box, I immediately fell in love with my watch.

Due to our schedule conflicts Neil agreed to meet after hours (on a Sunday, no less!!!) Let me preface this by saying that I have tried many places throughout OC and Bay Area to sell an engagement ring. I quickly learned that jewelers and appraisers can be very much shady people and can make you lose faith in humanity.

However, that cannot be said of Neil. Neil is prompt, professional, and personable. There is no funny business with Neil. There is no "this ring is very dirty let me go into a different room to clean it". (Pro tip if you're trying to sell anything: DO NOT LET IT LEAVE YOUR SIGHT) To say that Neil is just fair is an understatement. He is especially clear on his reasoning for the quote he gives and takes all aspects into consideration. Although my time with Neil was short, it definitely will not be my last time seeing him.
