Fantastic Japanese market and food court and DAISO. This spot is much nicer than the San Diego location and has pretty much everything you might want in a Japanese market. Of course it’s premium pricing but you can find many things that you miss from living in Japan.

Love their food here, hate their busy parking!!

Once waited for a spot only to have an entitled girl zoom in and take it without any regard.

It’s busy all the time but for good reason. They have like $5 meals in the food court and it’s tasty food!! Seating can sometimes be challenging to find as well.

The Japanese market has yummy snacks and another hidden bakery with unique breads and drinks.

This place is incredible; you feel like you are actually in Japan walking around here. The food hall has several wonderful options for delicious eats at great prices. Just be prepared to wait for a table on weekends!

I only took pictures of the samples of food in the food court area. There was soooo much food and other stuff to shop for! I really needed more time for shopping. This is a perfect spot to buy all your Japanese needs. There's even a Daiso attached inside the store. Very cool place to shop Japanese foods and household items.

Awesome and I’ve been hundreds of times. This is a Japanese food court- I come for the bento but half my family loves the ramen place. We also had ice coffee boba. Yummy.

I grew up shopping here since it was one of the only Japanese markets in Orange County. I like the selection and the food court has good options. The parking can be a nightmare during busy hours because people either don’t know how to follow rules or they just don’t care and they would drive in the opposite direction on one-way streets and cause more traffic than necessary. Other than that, I like this Mitsuwa for my Japanese groceries :-)

A touch of Tokyo! The restaurant selection is authentic and diverse while the market offers unique Japanese fare that draws me back regularly. When I want to eat Japanese food but can’t decide what, I come here. Highly recommended!!

A completely new experience for me. I was amazed by the whole market. Besides typical grocery market stuff, the Japanese products here were very interesting. I got a lot to try a lot new snacks 😩😩 and food here. The inside mini-mall and food court were pleasant as well, featuring a DAISO and various Japanese restaurants. I will definitely come back to try even more snacks and the restaurants there. 😋

First time coming to Mitsuwa pre-lunch and had first dibs in their packed to-go lunches. I went with their negitoro which hit the spot. $12.99 for gigantic pieces of negitoro which was prepared to perfection. It was made pretry recently considering the rice was still soft to the bite. Had a green tea and everything came out just above $16. The food court was packed per usual so I opted to stand and eat since I was in rush anyways.

Japanese food court and market plus a few other stores and stalls. We were there at 12.30 on a Saturday. It was crowded but the tables were bussed quickly so we were able to find seats. The food was good and the atmosphere was chill.

Absolutely outstanding. We went to Japan on holiday and it was like we were back again, at least food and shopping. What a fun place to go. We ate here and bought some very fresh treats to take home and share with family. Parking is a little challenging but there is a parking garage also. Well worth the 3 hour trip for us. I highly recommend this marketplace.

A clean, well-stocked Japanese market with a food court. They also have a few shops inside the building (one had cute stuffed animals and other Japanese stuff). The grocery store itself had a good selection and had some things that Mitsuwa in San Diego doesn't carry.

My son and I come here regularly for lunch. Then we stop at the confectionery for senbeis. Then we shop in the supermarket. Lots of beautiful fresh fish. This is the spot to pick up sushi for homemade rolls, or pre-made rolls. So many fun things to do here. All kinds of goods in a lively Japanese atmosphere

Great place to shop for Japanese groceries. Also has a good variety of really fresh tasting sashimi and sushi as well as sake. There is also a small bakery inside that sells savory and sweet baked goods. The food court attached to the market has selections from rice bowls and lunch sets to grilled beef tongue to ramen and udon. Seats might be a bit difficult to find so be prepared to share table with someone else.

When in SoCal (from Colorado) one of my first stops is Mitsuwa's bakery. The pastries are very good! I love browsing the store and always find something I want/like/need.

We always end up at this Mitsuwa when we're out and about in this area - a great place to stock up on Japanese essentials like mirin, dashi and natto - and lots of options to choose from and tons of snacks. The food court is great for a quick cheap bite to eat - they use the intercom to call out orders so you don't have to linger by the counter for your food. It took me a while to realize: there's a parking garage underneath! So don't bother circling the awkward parking lot out front - just go to the parking garage and take the stairs up (the elevator wasn't working, so keep that in mind if you need accessibility options - you'll likely need to park out front after all). Attached/within Mitsuwa Marketplace is a Gachapon, a Daiso and an amazing stationery shop with buttloads of Japanese pens. BUTTLOADS. Lots of specialty pens and fan favorites (Zebra Sarasa, uni-ball One, in so many colors! They also carry lots of refill options). Okay, I mostly reviewed everything attached to Mitsuwa, but that's part of what makes this location great!
