Really struggled finding the parking especially due to a temporary closure on the road. It was trying to get us to take plus when I say Road it’s more like side dirt trail. The hike is all in extremely soft sand. Once you get to the elephant arch, you have to climb up some rocks to get there, not necessarily easy at all for some people or small children. But the elephant is really cool it was worth the hike.

Not too strenuous. Lots of sand beautiful scenery. The arch does look like an elephant. You can climb up to the arch and take some incredible photos. There’s also a little cave by the arch though I wouldn’t go down it.

Great, sandy trail. I wouldn't do this if temps are above 75ish. No shade. Love the views and the little side slot canyon. Take lots of water and sunscreen. Fun trail.

Most trailheads are off road, so Google Map is depended upon to get to it. Mostly it's fine, few times it's hard sought than the trail itself. When I saw Elephant Arch Trailhead was in the middle of nowhere, I know i'm in trouble.

After of Washington Pkwy, the dirt road was not for smaller 2 wheeled cars. So we had to stop and park much earlier the expected. Then we had to walk Mill Creek trail to get to Bone Wash Trailhead, then walked most of Bone Wash trail to get to Elephant Arch Trailhead, Elephant Arch Trail is just small portion of the whole journey.

I was looking forward to this trail, but the road google had us on was inaccessible to anything but off-road vehicles, so we didn’t even get close…
