Moreno Valley Building Department

Seems like the other 1 star reviews are either vague or rating a minor aspect of this department. I just went in, said I needed to pull a permit for a project, followed the directions as instructed, paid my fees, and now I'm getting email updates for what I need to do next. Simple and straightforward. The front desk receptionist, payment clerk, info clerk, and building/safety clerk were all kind individuals that answered my questions. I had 4 people in front of me and waited 15 minutes, which is nothing. This was one of the best city permit pulling experiences I've had so far, and I've dealt with 15 different cities so far. If you need something answered, go in person, people are busy, they can't always take your call to answer. The receptionist doesn't know every answer to your question. Don't bother emailing, again, these people are very busy. Always best to go in person.

When people talk bad about government employees, this is the office they're referring to. I've had a couple commercial projects there and the counter staff has a very negative and unhelpful disposition. They want to get you off the phone instead of providing basic information. The only way to make things happen is by involving a manager.

JIM CORRIGAN IS ABSOLUTLY RUDE. I HAD A SIMPLE QUESTION AND HE LAUGHED AT ME, MADE SURE I FELT LIKE A COMPLETE IDIOT JUST FOR ASKING. THERE IS NOT ONE HELPFUL PERSON AT THIS CITY.

Useless workers. They need to be fired. This office needs caring people..

I could give them a zero...I called to ask some questions and the lady started talking without listening so I asked whats your name and she hang up on me..Lady Hellen from the building department desk if you dont like your job just go home and stay there behind your doors. You were absolutely rude.

Rude over the phone, no help via email. Worst building department in California.
