Sol Agave - Palm Springs

First time in Palm Springs, and glad I went to this place for lunch. The place was clean. We were a group of 7, and they were really fast on getting us a table, bringing our appetizers, and food. There was no issue. Everything I had was really tasty. From the guacamole dip (must try) to the lobster enchiladas. Great place to go if you’re in downtown Palm Springs.

A friend had been here and wanted to share even though I opted for another place.

So glad he talked me into it. Started with margarita flight. Thought we wouldn't like the basil one...turned out to be a favorite. Will go back for it.

Mexican food with fresh approach. Plentiful too. All your regular favorites with a twist. Definitely recommend. Warm bean dip with fabulous tortilla chips.

Excellent food and service! Easily the best “bottomless” chips refried beans and roasted tomato salsa in town! The tortilla soup was authentically delicious. Emphasis on homemade, fresh and full of flavor! The handsome waiter also gave excellent service.

Stopped here for a Sunday lunch and it was delicious and serve and ambience are fantastic!!! Lovely patio and beautiful inside ambiance too. Server was pro 10/10! Food was both beautiful and fresh creative delicious! I vegetarian so I got the vegetarian bowl so fresh and unique. I cannot say enough about this dish. My husband got huevos rancheros he loved it. We shared a margarita flight that was nice and fun. We will definitely be back next time on PS.

I would highly recommend this place. There was a group of 7 of us for a birthday dinner. It wasn't that crowded for a Thursday night, so our waiter and staff were very attentive. The food and drinks were all excellent, no one had any complaints. I got the shrimp and crab enchiladas, which were perfection, and would get again. Even the complimentary chips, salsa, and bean dip were so tasty. They have even sang Happy Birthday and gave a free dessert.

So many overrated, expensive places in town for mediocre food, but this is not one of them. Honestly, the best Mexican food I have had in a very long time. The atmosphere and service were great, but the real star is the classic Mexican cuisine, with an added modern twist. Even the flavorful, refried beans are a comfort food delicacy.

We stopped by here tonight while walking downtown and so glad we did. We sat at the bar and Carlos served us. He was so friendly and attentive. We tried the margarita flight which was phenomenal! We also shared the prawn taquitos which were so fresh and flavourful. We are in town visiting for a few days and will definitely be back!

Superb! A cut above, a class act which presents itself and its cuisine with style and grace in addition to outstanding cuisine that harkens back to its authentic Mexican roots.

No balancing act of TexMex….Sourhwest….AmMex. This is top notch skillfully prepared food from the heart and soul of Mexico.

My wife and I absolutely loved this place. After trying numerous restaurants in the area. We finally tried Sol not knowing anything about it. The atmosphere was super relaxing. We grabbed a few drinks at the bar where out bartender Francisco was amazing very friendly and made us feel right at home. Definitely will be returning back soon. Thanks Francisco for the amazing service 🙌

Found this place while taking a walk in Palm Springs with some friends. The strategically placed flight of margaritas caught our eye so we decided to get a table for 4. Happy hour was 2-6 pm. We had flights of margaritas and flights of mimosas. The drinks were delicious and excellently presented. The food ordered did not disappoint either. Servers were attentive and ambiance was great. I would definitely dine here again.

This place has it all. A beautiful location in downtown Palm Springs with views of the mountain and great people watching on Palm Canyon. The staff are all attentive and helpful. The food is top notch. We've eaten at Sol Agave around 6 times since it opened in Palm Springs and keep coming back. Everything we've had to eat has been delicious. They bring you incredible fresh made chips, salsa and beans when you arrive. The ceviche is our favorite and a good happy hour deal. The happy hour is great! The desserts are next level, try the flan or the butter cake - you will not be disappointed. The fresh ingredients, atmosphere, great staff and location make it the best bang for your buck restaurant option in town.

This was our first time there but not the last, Enjoy the atmosphere and the restaurant staff was friendly and the service was great.

The food was fantastic! We ordered the guacamole sampler (very unique flavors), I had the maragarita flight (delicious, watermelon was our favorite), my husband tried both types of the traditional maragarita.

For entree I had the Taco Del Mar it was one of the best fish tacos I've ever had, the sauce was amazing I used all of it on my rice, my chips, my tacos!!My husband had the Chile Colorado which was so tender and the sauce was really good.

Everything was presented beautifully and the service was quick and they kept checking in to make sure everything was wonderful. The food was so good that even though I was full we just had to try the tres leche cake as well and it was well worth being stuffed for the rest of the night!

Very high quality ingredient’s restaurant. The shrimp is thick and juicy and I highly recommend it as an appetizer. The crab burrito is also very tasty and full of broth flavor as you bite into it. Atmosphere is great for both a party or a nice date night.

We went for happy hour & the food was great.
We each had something different & shared the goodies.

Delicious food - not your average Mexican meal. The lobster or seafood enchilada is super tasty and the butter cake is fantastic and worth every calorie!

I wrote the above last week and gave Sol Agave 5 stars. I changed it to one star because I returned this weekend and the butter cake has shrunk - to less than half the size (although the price remained the same.). The waiter then lied about it. Bad!

During a recent visit to Palm Springs, my wife and I found Sol Agave and are so happy that we stopped in. Amazing drinks, great vibe, and fresh, tasty food--this place had everything we wanted.

Although I didn't get a picture of it, the calamari was exceptional: among the top three calamari dishes I've ever had. (In 2016, I had the best calamari I have ever had, in South Africa, at a place called Kitchen Windows Beach Restaurant; since then, I have been looking for a calamari as good. Sol Agave comes really close.)

We met one of the owners of the restaurant, Jim, while we had food at the bar, and he gave us a tour of the kitchen and the walk-in cooler. Sol Agave's food is all fresh, handmade, unlike many places that use food in cans or premade items from big distributors like Sysco Foods.

If you're in the area, give Sol Agave a try. Thanks to Jim and the bartending team for a great experience.

Celebrated my Mom's birthday. They went out of their way to make it special! The food and drinks were fantastic, the vibe was 'ON' and they brought out sparklers to top it off! The mexican coffee hits the spot!

Hector the bartender was amazing! One of the best, well made margaritas I’ve ever had. The food was fantastic. Not very traditional Mexican-American but extremely inventive and delicious. I highly recommend.

My wife and I were in Palm Springs yesterday for the Village Fest that happens every Thursday and we decided to have dinner at Sol Agave. We both had a blast. From the moment we got into the restaurant until we left, every step was a WOW moment. The service was superb, the cocktails were made as we like them. The appetizers were unique. We haven't had Calamari Fryo so full of flavor, the Ceviche Ala Mesa too. For the main course we ordered Pollo AL Gusto and Tacos De Hongo. Every single dish was delicious, cooked to perfection, nice portions and the representation of each dish was like a masterpiece !!!
