This is by far the worst building department office I’ve had to deal with. If you need a permit, I recommend for people to go in person. They lack the capability to issue permits online even though they suggest to do so. They lack professionalism and understanding. They make mistake after mistake and refuse to acknowledge in a condescending manner it but are quick to charge you the fees. Horrible customer service etiquette.

This has got to be the SLOWEST building department ever and their new (I’ve seen them for over 3 months) staff apparently just work there and don’t know how to work. They wait for the supervisor to finish their job to come help them at the counter, they help one person, then they take break. To resubmit plans it takes over an hour. This happens to me all the time. City Manager please have the Building Official hire competent people and have at least 3 people at the counter. 3 monitors and only 1 in use because the 2nd person is always on break or lunch. Today just finished with my patience.
