I dreaded calling to report my sales tax. I wasn’t sure if they would help me but I made the call. I had to wait for 7 minutes for my turn, the gentleman was nice. He didn’t give me the answers, I had to ask questions and he assisted me and I got thru it.
I’m glad I’ve completed last year and will be calling back next January for this year.

The application for seller's permit is quite lengthy. As a matter of fact, it was so long that I was an hour over the free 90-min parking and had to pay $2. The five stars stem from how helpful the employees are when you have questions on app. They come over right away to assist.

Young lady who took my call was beyond helpful, walked me through the process in which I needed to complete my task.

Sometimes good and other times bad depending on individual u have to talk. I feel every time i go for my client sales tax issue. Left hand doesn't kn what right hand is doing. Especially when you have teach an employee simple mathematics like multiply, divide, add & subtraction. Then individuals will have their own home made Laws & regulations. So i had to direct them in their own regs for proper answers. Ex of math calculation...
Taxable sale Sold $100 x 8%tx = $8
Amt & tax paid on item prior to resell $80+$6.40tx = $86.40 total.
How much sales tax due. Do it in head common sense says =$8.00-$6.40=$1.60 tx due to boe.
Based on who u talk to their. Their calculation will varies from anywhere $14.40 to .40cent. U just look at them in the eyes. Just start to smile. The employee will say wat am i wrong? U politely tell them. Can u pls do calculation again and again and again. Bz everytime he/she calculate its a different number. Wen u say why its different in each calculation. They just give u a dumb look. And start to scratch their heads. Then u as a client need to teach this person. Just like u would to a 2nd grader. Simple math. I had this experience few times. But also had a good experience on simple Q&A. Anything complex they will refer u to Sacramento. Then i wonder why am i wasting my time here. I should have gone to Sacramento and be back by now. But i m still stuck here. Next time Sac here i come. They do have some smart people working. But too hard to get them bz they r busy cleaning other people mess in the office.
