Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center - San Pedro

I visit the outpatient unit monthly for treatments and the staff there is wonderful. I was very sick and did not have the energy to figure out logistics for my healthcare. I was very lucky to have the pharmacist and med staff at Providence work on my case as much as they could and follow up with updates. They alleviated a lot of stress, were prompt and very professional! It’s no surprise that this hospital is recognized for their efforts. Their dedication to patient care is phenomenal!

I brought my mom multiple times for various reasons, and always received great attention and treatment. Very pleasant and competent doctors and nurses make the experience feel like visiting your family members rather than a hospital. Highly recommended. 🙏👍

I was hospitalized for a week in April. I received great care from all of the Doctors and Nurses I saw during my stay. The level of care and expertise at Little Company of Mary San Pedro is very high.

I was very impressed with how nice the staff were here.
After seeing and hearing some of the people they have to deal with during their shift , I am surprised they are still as kind as they were .
I was in and out of the ER with in 2 hours .
I did not find not one staff member who was not polite.
Thank you to the nurses and doctors for all that you do for us.

The staff on the 2nd floor were all so amazing. The care for my Dad was top-notch, and I couldn't have asked for anything else. I want to offer the biggest thanks to everyone involved. They cared for my Dad as if he were their own. ❤

I was injured on a cruise ship and was transported to Providence little company of Mary. Everyone was very nice and caring in the ER. I was sent to the operating room where I feel I received great care. The recovery unit nurses and staff were super friendly and they were quiet at night when coming in to check vitals. Very impressed with the care I received here.

Wow! I am so impressed by the care my mom received at this hospital. She was admitted to the ER in very bad shape and they did everything they could to address her multiple needs. Everyone involved was caring, professional, and extremely communicative with me about my mom's health and her future options. They even helped me arrange hospice care for my mom! I can't say enough good things about this hospital and the really fantastic staff.

In and out of the ER, they treated me well, were highly efficient and professional. Been to this ER a couple times before with my son, and they were always so good with him at those times. For a small hospital they really have a great ER.

Thank you for giving such great care in the ER to me...I really appreciated all the skilled and wonderful people working here, you ALL are such a blessing. How many towns have a hospital with each person able to size up the situation and act appropriately? Not many like this great hospital staff.
I was in a neglected condition. Dr, Miles ordered tests, prescribed medication, and quickly figured out what was wrong with me. His nurses, receptionist, intake RN and PR were so excellent at TEAM WORK!
My condition is improving quickly. Thank you for the terrific type of people you all are, and how you wasted no time in fixing me up today. You all are refreshing. Great place to be treated. Thank you again.

I could go on for hours about how well I was taken care of here at this Hospital, but I'll try to keep it short and sweet as possible. So I was rushed in through Emergency by paramedics (I had no idea at the time how very close I was to dying) on 6/25. Thanks to the great minds and quick work of the Drs and entire care team, I was very promptly seen and diagnosed with severely critical anemia (low red blood cell/oxygen levels) due to internal bleeding and was informed that I needed to have emergency surgery right away. After having been seen for the same severe symptoms at 2 separate ERs and my Primary Care Dr over the course of a WHOLE MONTH, I sadly did not have much hope for myself at this point. However, the surgery went very well and was done with what I can only imagine was such expertise and precision that I am still in awe and thankful everyday that I am alive and that it was not as invasive nor gory as it could have been! It really could have been A LOT rougher, A LOT worse, and a much longer recovery (Thank you so much Dr. Lapelis (and other Drs) for the beautiful work in surgery!) After surgery during my recovery I was in the ICU for a few days, then transferred to Surgical Recovery, and of course there were some who stood out a bit more than others, but I still cannot get over how wonderful and attentive EVERYONE was and how well I was taken care of- from every nurse to every Dr to every house-keeper, and every phlebotomist (which I met quite a few as I needed my Red Blood Cell levels checked frequently, had to be woken up at all odd hours, but everyone made that so easy and comfortable for me!) even the case manager- and the dieticians who work in the kitchen were even super kind, caring, and professional when I needed something specific added to my diet! Everyone I encountered at this hospital was so kind, caring, attentive and gentle and I truly believe that the care and compassion I was given here is what led me through such a speedy recovery! I just can't say enough good things about my experience here, and that's coming from someone who had just about bled to death internally by the time I got there, had about 4 different IVs plus one HUGE catheter in my jugular - and still this was somehow the most comfortable I have ever been in the hospital! Drs and nurses checked in on me frequently, had no problems answering any questions I had, and also offered me encouragement along the way. Information and instructions were communicated clearly and thoroughly. They even filled my meds for me right there in the hospital pharmacy! Thank you everyone, you all made a huge impact in my life, for life!

came in Friday morning the morning shift nurses that work in the emergency room I’m not sure their names i forgot but it was two nurses that work together sweetest ladies thank you for being caring!! even the Night Shift nurse were helpful and caring. Just took a very long time on transportation

Had a lot of pain so this was the closest hospital,they treated me so well and went the extra mile and from what I could tell others were handled with the same care and respect my nurse was “marry” I have a big fear of needles and she was very patient with me also super nice and very attentive although it was a very busy night. The doctor came to see me he was also very good listen and seemed to want to get me back to feeling better!! Doc.guess went above and beyond especially during this Covid-19 era over all this place is probably one of the last good ER’s left it was a bit of a wait time but that’s to be expected actually I’ve experienced 5 hr waiting in pain with little to no concern shown by staff at some other hospitals I will not name so the hour/30mn wasn’t even that long also had to get a CT done and even the nurse woh took me over to radiology was super welcoming I think his name was” Carlos” no complaints was even offered sandwiches and juice, they took really good care of me no complaints!!!%100 satisfaction

I have always struggled with asthma and other respiratory problems, every time I have an asthma attack or any other emergency the place I run is ER at Providence little company in San Pedro my son and I we always received the best attention.
Love this place!

Dr. Guess, Daniel, and James; and Nicole are terrific people. This ER staff was busy. I had a severe gash on forehead, from swimming Royal Palms. With tides extreme this month I hope all the surfing people will use caution and me as example. 33 stiches! Blood all over but as soon as I hit the sharp rocks on the bottom, I came up and did a 10 min. drive to the ER here. Shock was coming over me, but these wonderful medical people took it on! It was a 10! 5 Stars! Younger staff who knows how to work together. Finest treatment here. Thank you ER staff. Great people great hospital, clean and organized. Pleasant acceptable atmosphere. I am looking forward to a full recovery,,,thank you again, and again.

Went into the ER early morning, waiting room empty. Seen immediately, evaluated and put into a bed right of way. Seen by 3 doctors within the first 30 minutes. Nurse was efficient and polite. Orderly who took me for MRI was nice and friendly. MRI unit is all the way across the hospital and outside in a separate unit. Total time there 5 hrs. A lot of renovation has been done and is a lot better than before.

The nurses and Dr. Shah who is an emergency room doctor were very kind, caring and informative. A great visit for an emergency room! Quite a satisfying visit. Thank you Dr. Shah and the nurses that took care of me during my visit.

I went in today for decreased fetal movement. From the registry to upstairs labor and delivery... the staff and nurses were great! I’m from Texas and so glad everyone made me feel right at home. The wait time was no more than 10 minutes!

Came to this hospital for a medical problom I had and was greeted by security which he was very professional and helpful. He explained the visiting policy due to covid. The doctors and nurses were also fantastic, I recommend this ER as all the staff I encountered were polite and caring.

Maternity staff was awesome when I had my daughter almost a year ago. Had to take her to the ER today. Dr Shah was amazing. Very patient and caring young dr who truly cared about the situation.

I was recently diagnosed with a severe stomach infection, lots of pain & came into the E.R. Stayed 2 weeks & would like to give major Thanks to nurses, Ashley, Linda, Mary, Nancy, Aveline, Whonda, Danny, Jen, Hazel & any others who's name I didn't mention. Dr Fox, Dr Kwon & Dr Le Quong were thorough with diagnosis & everyone cared genuinely from the housekeepers, to the engineers & the nurses assistants. Words can't express how well I was treated. All I can say is, the entire staff was professional & attentive throughout the whole ordeal. Thanks for everything!
