Maracas Mexican Cantina & Grill

'Ello chaps,

Maracas is a Mexican Cantina located in the heart of downtown Palm Springs, right next to the Sonny Bono fountain statue.

The menu is just as you'd expect - a fare of tacos, enchiladas, rice, bean, fajitas, etc.

The food is superb. Just hits the spot. Well seasoned meat. Serve is great.

There are vegetarian options too.

Overall I give Maracas five stars out of five.

AMAZING FOOD. So delicious, we smelled the food from across the street on our way to a different restaurant and had to find out where the scrumptious smells of various steaming dishes were coming from. We crossed the street and it wasn’t even a question whether or not we are trying it. 110% stop in a try something here. Great drinks too. Food is worth the prices and decent prices at that. Only thing is our server failed to ask our drink order or fill up waters and we waited over 20 minutes after our food was done until we saw our server again to ask for the check. We saw other servers giving excellent attentive service so it was just our male server.

We found another great place to eat in Palm Springs. Dog friendly patio great service. Very good food and excellent coconut margaritas.

This place is amazing I ordered a hamburger and i thought that it was going to be simple but when I got it it was mind blowing it had a lot of cheese you can put Lettuce and tomato witch was crazy I loved it the iced tea was very good and the service is even better I will comeback here again I love it I recommend it and I am making YouTube video about it it’s amazing idk I just like it :)

Second time here first time didn't eat only drank. Got the shrimp enchilada plate and it was delicious. The beans and rice were 4 out of 5 and the enchiladas a 5. The sauce inside was excellent and they didn't skimp on the shrimp. Mom got the beef enchilada plate 5 stars.😋 My mother's husband got the wet Chile Verde burrito and it was excellent! 5 out of 5.👍Service and value were good and they have expanded the outside seating since 2018. (Watch out for added charges for using a card on the bill). They have a description of the additional charges sitting on the table marker. My check was $39, they ran my card for $57.07 Free parking was a perk so I won't complain.

Great food, Great Atmosphere and You can eat right on the strip (outside). Heat Lamps so you won't get cold.
Food from start to finish had an amazing taste. Can't wait to go again.
We had the Fajitas (Beef & Chicken) and it was perfect.

Our waiter I think his name was Wolford was awesome! He gave us great recommendations and an experience. The food was amazing! Oooo that Segria and chips and Salsa tho! Highly recommend for some good Mexican food. Oh, don't forget about them street tacos.

Had some delicious Mexican food here.
The portion for my grande burrito was really generous and the green sauce was great. The Mango seafood salad was also really good.
My server was very friendly and made some good recommendations to us.
We sat outside on the street tables, it was a nice place to have dinner.

No

This could very well be the best Mexican food and drinks in the country, I don’t even write reviews but this place should get a Michelin star, everything is locally sourced and the drinks are amazing made correctly,

My wife and I absolutely enjoyed our time at Maracas. The staff was friendly and the food was beyond amazing. The margaritas were so good we forgot to snap pictures, but the Caliente Chicken was phenomenal!!! I would definitely try this dish if you enjoy the occasional spicy meal. The salsa is also a spicy treat. You can’t go wrong with any Asada dish on the menu. Stop by and give them a try. You can thank me later.☺

The mango and chamoy blended margarita was a great mix of flavors. Very refreshing! I got the vegetarian enchiladas that were seasoned perfectly. A great blend of flavors. Highly recommend sitting outside, great people watching while enjoying the bustle of downtown.

Stopped in for dinner and we were both extremely happy with the dishes we ordered. I got the shrimp tacos and my cousin ordered a burrito. The chips and salsa were the perfect start to the meal!!!! Loved the live music, and great atmosphere.

We came here last minute because we were waiting for our hotel room to be ready and we were not expecting everything to be so good. The chips and salsa are the best we ever had. Ibwould recommend trying the shrimp soup as well.

A favorite Mexican restaurant that I like to come to when I’m visiting Palm Springs, great service, margaritas and food with so much flavor keeps me coming back for more

Our second time here and we love the tacos and fajitas! Salsa is spicy and great too. Loved our service tonight, we had a 45min wait which went by quick walking around. The shredded chicken soft tacos are my favorite ❤ very juice and lots of flavor

Excellent food with excellent service. A good choice of vegetarian food also. Recomended.

We had dinner at Maracas and loved it. We are vegetarians and found the menu to be very accommodating. The chips are house made, not greasy, and taste and smell ultra fresh. The salsa is out of this world--we're talking Mars-like. The ingredients were fresh and the spice factor was very high. I love spice, but I had to take a break to give my mouth a chance to cool down. Luckily, they had a happy hour special when we were there, which included draft beers of domestics, Negra Modelo and Modelo Especial, as well as Margaritas. The 16 oz pint was $4.50 and the 20 oz size was $6.50--both great deals. The drink definitely helped cool the burn.

We sat outside on the patio under the heat lamps and people-watched while we ate. A guitarrón player came out and played a couple of classic Mexican songs for us, which we really enjoyed.

My wife ordered the vegetarian enchiladas, which came with white rice and vegetarian black beans. She really enjoyed her dish and highly recommended it. I ordered the veggie burrito, which was stuffed with rice, veggie black beans, squash, and mushrooms, and came with sides of guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo. It was delicious, but monstrous. I could not finish it.

We had a great time at Maracas and recommend you try it to satisfy your Mexican cravings.

Goodness, the food was incredible! The waiter was super friendly and helped us out great. I wasn't feeling like having meat that night so I got the spinach and mushroom enchiladas. No regrets, I miss dish to this day it was so so good.

We come to this restraunt at least once a month and the staff is so friendly!! The food is AMAZING . Love maracas!

Second time here! Really enjoyed the food & service—Top notch! Better than many other area restaurants—Will be back!
