Samburna Indian Restaurant

Service was very good. The vadas (savory Indian donuts- must try!) were hot & crispy on the outside, soft inside and absolutely perfect! The mysore masala dosa (rice crepe) was a softer variety of dosa - mentioning this because some people prefer their dosa to be very crispy. I liked the softer version too.

Mega Dosa!! We had to move to a bigger table to eat it. The butter chicken was awesome! Right when you're seated bottled water is already out for you! All the staff were super sweet, welcoming and fun to chat with. Everything was seasoned perfectly and the price was super fair out the door for $57 for mega dosa (could feed four) , medhu vadai, butter chicken (included rice), lime drink (sweet and sour which was delicious like home made natural sparkling Gatorade), and a Coke. It is a smaller restaurant so I assume it can get loud but we went on a Sunday night and there was only one or two other patrons. We did over hear an issue that someone had with a delivery but from what we gathered it seemed pretty silly "we don't sell or make pizza so If you got a pizza it wasn't from us" seems like a couple of the negative posts are issues with grub hub or Uber eats... We'll definitely be back and we're bringing friends. Great excuse to get out of Seattle and get some great food at fair prices. Images and video of mega dosa and butter chicken attached.

This place is my husband and I’s favorite places to eat! We’ve come here countless of times and we’re never disappointed. We usually order the mega dosa, butter chicken, and paneer butter masala and I promise you the flavors will blow your mind! On top of that, their service is a 10/10! We will definitely be coming back soon. Thank you for such an amazing experience! ♥

Authentic South Indian delicacies!!

We got the filter coffee , idlis, iddyappam with coconut milk, prawns masala and the fish curry.
The filter coffee was hot and refreshing, the coconut milk was delicious and went well with the iddiappams. The sambhar and chutney with the idlis were fresh

All tasted lovely and authentic and had the right amount of spice to it.

Will visit this place again. Highly recommended!!

Visited Samburna after many years to have dosa night. Food was good, although wait time of 20 minutes to get food could have been better. Food was delicious. Not the cleanest of places, but not too bad either. Also, I was there around closing time, so can't really expect everything to shine!

Visited again today. Slightly less crowded. Slightly quicker in getting ordered food (Dosa night). Service was better than previous time. Restaurant has ample opportunity to make the walkway (place between dining hall and restrooms) uncluttered. Proper screens to mask food preparation area especially (when it is not clean in guests perspective!) will be great.

One of the best experience of my life . Being a restaurant owner myself , I learnt how there’s really no limit when it comes to customer service . I was welcomed by the owner and he walked me out to the door carrying my food. An absolute gentleman ! My heart has never been this happy walking out of a restaurant. Small restaurant space. There's hardly 8 tables in there so expect a wait time during popular hours. The food is authentic south Indian food and is really good. We went in for lunch on a Sunday and ordered quite a bit for the two of us :) the portions are on the smaller side on some of the dishes but the food was really good! Had the Malabar parotta, gongura chicken, mutton sukka, kuzhi paniyaram and badam milk. All of it was really good. The mutton sukka was less in quantity but really tasty. No complaints about any of the other dishes. The service can be a little slow, there was only one person for four tables but the food arrived pretty quickly. Definitely ordering the kuzhi paniyaram again. Wish the place was on door dash though!

Loved loved the podi idly, sambar and ginger chutney. The other chutney was lacking flavor. Mysore masala dosa and paniyaram were freshly made, felt the dosa could have used some more spicy. Masala buttermilk was very good. Coffee was warm so was not very happy there. But would definitely return for some authentic South Indian tiffins, also tried their chili onion uttapam which was amazing

Samburna Indian Restaurant is now one of our favorite places to go to. The warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with friendly service and great recommendations from the staff, made our dining experience memorable. A standout was the Chico shake – a must-try sweet tropical fruit that they blended with milk which perfectly complemented the spicy notes of the cuisine.

One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve tried. We ordered the chicken biryani 65, goat kurma, and masala dosa. Everything tasted amazing, full of spices and we left feeling full and completely satisfied. The service was amazing and we didn’t leave out the mango lassi. Not sweet and very fruity. Highly recommend to give this place a try!

Took a take away, This is definitely not chicken 65... and oily noodles. Had a horrible experience..

Normally i don't revisit a restaurant where my initial response was terrible. But seeing so many positive reviews. Revisited the restaurant twice, and both of the times, the food was excellent. They have improved significantly.

I am changing my review from 1/5 to 5/5.

Wonderful food and friendly service. We got the samburna special mega dosa and it was HUGE and really fun. The lime soda was also a treat and the butter chicken was delicious. Also get the medhu vadai. Pretty affordable, and worth the trip from Seattle

Great food. Finally found a good spot after trying multiple places around town. Ambience is great. Staff is friendly. Portions are generous! Chicken chettinad and mega dosa were delicious

Ordered for catering of South Indian breakfast. Food was great! (Mini uthapam was average rest worth seconds or thirds!) Madhi was great in coordinating and responding. Order was ready dot on time. Will order again!

A hidden treasure 👌. One of the best India restaurants that I've I'm my life. This is a South Indian type of cuisine. Everything is delicious and prices are very reasonable but I'll pay a lot for their mango lassi 😋😋😋. Theis dosas are the best 💛

Favorite Indian restaurant in the Seattle area! The food is amazing, the vibe is cute and inviting, the service is attentive. We always get a Dosa to share and two entrees and everything has been delicious. The okra and dhal in particular are incredible. Last time, one of the waiters recommended a Chikoo Shake, which I have never heard of, and it's now going to be a regular for me (it's made from a tropical fruit that tastes like malty butterscotch!) Love this place!

Fantastic and authentic South Indian food. I grew up in South India and this is my go-to restaurant for tiffin - it's excellent. As are their curries and flatbreads. Excellent chai and madras coffee too! My son is averse to spice and this is his favorite Indian restaurant because they are great at accommodating him with a delicious mild butter chicken curry.

I have been to Samburna many times. I love the food, the staff and the ambience. The staff is very helpful and kind. I ordered masala dosa, uttapam and filter coffee. It was delicious. My daughter loves to have almond milk. It was a wonderful place to have dinner with family.

Great Tamilnadu style food. Menu also has items from other South Indian states' cuisine.

Place is a little congested, but clean and hygiene. Will go again.
