Such a great visit and read. Trees are really just magnificent. To see how a tree can tell the story of time that we'll never see is just beautiful.

This ancient tree definitely deserves more 5 star reviews. It is massive. It’s too bad that none of these have been left standing in the Pacific Northwest. I recommend a quick stop to see it and read about its history.

Amazing old log of a tree that is from the 13th century: one can see the growth rings, and there's a placard with historical events that took place at various years indicated by the rings, including King John's signing of the Magna Carta, some inventions, people's lives, etc. Fascinating study.
