I enjoy working for this company it's got it's issues like every company alot of what you see on these reviews is disgruntled people who have left the company and have nothing better to do than to try an fill people with false info inorder to try and hurt the company pay isn't the best as a single driver I will give them that I getabout 1500-2000 miles on a good week as a solo driver communication with my dm is simple and easy they reply quickly the truck I was put into is a few years old but iv never had an issue that put me out of service I had an air leak in my break line and they got it fixed at a third party shop same day and got me back on the road the next morning my truck is nice only issue with my truck it doesn't have an inverter to run a fridge and microwave but thats a luxury and not nessassary to the essential duties of my job I have always got the home time iv asked for got all the detention pay promised it's a big company with alot of drivers sometimes things slip through the cracks and that's the biggest issue I think people don't understand it's not one driver per dm it's (and I don't know the actual number but) 20 drivers per dm who all have an issue who all need a load like I said my only complaint that the company can solve is the pay but that also comes with time and experience stay safe out there drivers and again this is my opinion and my experiences up to this point results and people vary

Michael Gabria was my trainer he's a very awesome guy he's very calm and collected even when I made mistakes he never made me feel stupid or like I wouldn't succeed and even when I wouldn't grasp things the first time he never made me feel like I couldn't learn or like it was an issue I never felt like he used his position at the company as some token to hold over my head he was more like a friend than a superior I like that he kept his truck neat and organized he was really laid back about things we could always find common ground or a resolution to anything (not saying there were issues but more so in like how we wanted to meal prep or where we would store my stuff things like that) he was always quick to help if I ever needed it all in all he was very professional and kind and I would definitly team drive with him again If the time ever came that I needed too 10/10 I would recommend for any new trainee looking for a trainer

Great company they actually give you a chance as professional driver this industry is not for everyone, so choose your career wisely.

One thing for sure is your attitude! are you really gone do what it takes. We can’t always blame others. If anyone is going to give you a chance, what are you going to do with it. Most trucking company won’t even let you in the team. My dm is great keeps me rolling we won’t say names so y’all won’t go in there trying to ask for him/her. Keeps me rolling as long as I keep driving. Yeah do your diligent work drop that load asap so you can stay loaded. Don’t mess their truck up. If they’re bad it’s because of ungrateful drivers. Who else is gone put you in a board and room worth 100,000 + and you just disrespect it by destroying it. It’s why companies won’t let you on the team. Appreciate being a Western Express employee. To my dm yo your the “GOAT”.

Service dept is great. Get you in as soon as they can here in CALIFORNIA. Service technicians do a great job in going over your truck. Brian does an awesome job when working on my truck. Thanks Brian..... Keep up the great job, in helping keep us drivers safe out on the road....

I've been a driver here since July 2018 and now I'm a trainer. This is a great company to work for and a great place for new drivers to get their experience up. Come drive through siskiyou mountains and tell me you shouldn't be paying for that opportunity. My DM Marcus is awesome and we have great communication, I've never had any issues here.

Probably the best trucking company I have ever worked for. Murray was my driver manager he is on point he does not lie. The pay is ok solo but if you run teams you looking at close to 2000 per week if you go non stop. Had to leave cause I was having family problems but I can say this company is probably ranked #1 hands down all the way around. I wish I would have started here when I 1st started trucking my life would have been alot better. This company helps felons also I love everything about this place... much love you guys keep it up!!!!!

Michael Gabria truck #12124, Trainer was very helpful when it came to train me , his good on knowing the hrs of service . And when to split our driving hrs. Super friendly guys and was there when ever I had a question . .. I recommend him ..

Needed to get some PM done and the front end looked at. The men in the shop got us in before closing and they said they'll have it done in the morning before we have to go get our load. Thank you guys at the shop. This is Saturday October 21st 2023.

This may not be the best paying company out there. But they have some of the best DMs out there including my Driver Manager Mike Arias. He makes the job so much easier for me and that’s why I’m going on 2 years with the company. He keeps me busy with loads and my number one priority is that he works with me if I have to be home a certain day.

I worked here for 7 months. They hired me with no experience and I learned a lot. Felipe my DM was really cool and easy to work for. I drove team and made good money. I had a better opportunity at another company but I have nothing bad to say about western. They gave me a shot and I made the best of it.

I have had the opportunity to work for Western Express alongside my DM as a commercial truck driver. He makes my job a lot easier and I can’t ask for a better driver manager. I have enjoyed this particular job because of the insight it has brought me. The pay is great and the people are great because you make it what you make it. So although there are a lot of naysayers out there I can’t be one for Western Express because it’s a good company.

I’m a new driver with Western Express and my experience over these past 5 months have been great. My DM Mike A. Is very easy to get in contact with. He keeps me moving i get great miles my trainer made the transition from school to really being on the road very easy for me. The orientation was very insightful they really prepare you for what you will experience on the road as well as help you if you are missing any paperwork, if you need to update your physical they will help you with that as well as anything that you might need to update at DMV they are really willing to work with you and get you established for this career.

great company to get your foot in the door, decent routes that will get you experience in your driving skills to great service during breakdowns the leadership is very active in making sure your moving. My DM Greg has made the work environment worth it whenever I have issues or concerns about my load he is quick to fix my issues. Overall great starting company.
