I love the big round trees! Beware lots of owners aren’t keeping their dogs on leashes in this area. Not great if you’re scared of them or simply find them unpredictable. Otherwise, very peaceful especially early morning, take the trail and end up on Burke Gilman or Samamish River trail easily. Anticipate mud unless the weather has been dry recently, helps save your shoes

This is my favorite dog park north of Seattle so far. Everyone is nice. The dogs have a lot of space. It's clean. There are garbage cans and dog bags available. The air is fresh. It is a nice 45 minute walk around.

It’s an new unofficial off leash area that City of Bothell bought as it was a golf course. It’s twice the acreage (81 acres) than Marymoor off leash which is (42 acres). Possibly off my couple acres 🧐. It’s got running River which dogs aren’t supposed to swim in. (My dog can’t read ). It’s beautiful and huge lots of grassy running, trails too easy to roll thru with say wheelchair or walkers strollers etc. A wonderful find for Bubba and myself!

Great open space for walking, dogs and swing birds, including Bald Eagles at the right time of year.

Beautiful and unexpectedly large park in the middle of Bothell. Dogs and kids both loved the open space, and long grass. It wasn't busy at all, but this is clearly a favorite spot for dog walking, and some are off leash, even though they technically shouldn't be. (photo from July '22)

I remember this park from when I was a child. At that time it was Wayne Golf Course. We now get to walk our dog over acres of safe and open grass. It is a joy and brings back childhood memories.

Great place to walk your dog! Very pretty open fields. It was muddy in some areas though so be carefu!

Incredible park! Stumbled across it trying to find an off-leash trail for my pup (not a tiny, muddy off leash dog run, which there are plenty of). I wish they'd just take down the 'leash your dog' signs in the parking lot. No one follows this rule, and everyone (dogs and humans) loves this spot as a result. (My partner walks his dog here, leashed, with no issues as there is so much space for everyone to spread out.) It is HUGE, we've only explored the area near the parking lot, but there's a whole other section of the park across the road. This place is an absolute gem! Hope it remains for everyone to enjoy for years to come.

Great park in the neighborhood! Can easily walk a couple miles without much back-tracking.

Variety of terrain though mostly rolling hills. Grass and compact gravel in some areas, it does get muddy easily due to the location (bog like) and lots of use.

Lots of dog-walkers. Please keep them on a leash! Maybe a dog-park could be added to a corner of the park?

If we are adding things, how about a pedestrian bridge that allows for easy crossing from one side of the park to the other while avoiding car traffic? Oh, and.....maybe a pickleball court too?

So glad the city was able to purchase this land from the political tycoon that was trying to steal it to develop housing!

Overall, great park and location as you can access Burke Gilman and Sammamish River Bike Path from the parking lot too. (Hint: A good meet-up / launch point for weekend group runs/walks).

Open space to walk through the entire park, not just the pathed trails. If you’re a regular, you’ve noticed that there are unleashed dogs (not permitted) but 95% of people that come here come to let their dogs run. Every person I walk by has a unleashed dog. There are plenty other parks in the area to have a walk or jug where you don’t have to worry about “non-permitted activity”. Only you can control your actions, not other people’s. So just choose wisely and know dog owners won’t care about your comments/harassment.

This is a fantastic nature park and not a park with playsets and picnic tables It is a beautiful place to go with your dog. Not a good place for little kids as there are no playsets. This park is filled with lots of wonderful people who love dogs. If you do not like dogs, I suggest any other park as you will see lots of very friendly, well behaved dogs at this park.

This was a golf course for a very long time. However, it has been turned into an open park for everyone. It’s a cool place to walk and during winter there is a section with a steep hill that lots of locals go to sled when the snow is deep enough. The grounds are kept up, one of the old houses on the property that was turned into a store for the golf course is still there. When my aunt was a young girl she used to ride her horse through the golf course which really bothered the owners at the time.

People complaining that this is not an off-leash park... then how about you literally go anywhere else. There are tons of places near-by for bikers and joggers where everyone has their dog on a leash. Go there. If you are a dog hater, then a simple solution is just to not go to this park. Don't need to ruin the experience for everyone that loves dogs and wants to bring their dog to an awesome place to run and play fetch. As someone previously mentioned, you can only control your own actions and no one is going to listen to your harassment. It's a waste of your time and energy when you can simply just take yourself out of the equation and go somewhere else. Trust me it will make it a happier park for the rest of us :D

Wonderful walking trails through the former golf course. This is a very large property with a river running through it and it has trails throughout but not many other services. People often let their dogs off leash here although it is not an off leash dog park so be prepared for that.

The best park in the area. Endless space to let your dog fetch and plenty of old cart paths to walk or explore via bicycle.
