Marechiaro's 2nd Street

Classic old school Italian ristorante featuring a wide menu selection. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was delish. Serving sizes were plentiful especially the salads. Highly recommend Marechiaros 2nd Street.

My wife and I used to go there on occasion with my in-laws when we lived in Lakeside. We now live in Texas but were back in S.D. on business and we decided to go there as my wife and I had been craving their delicious food. As usual our meals were GREAT and the servings are so generous we all went home with doggie bags. It's meals like these that make us miss S.D. even more. Pasquale is the owner and never fails to say hello and thank us for coming which is always nice of him.

Stopped by here for lunch today. Total hole in the wall place. We had Amanda as our server, she was very knowledgeable about what’s on the menu. They had a “build your own pasta” which was really cool.
We will gladly return again. IMO, it’s the most delicious Italian food in East County.

I took an El Cajon newcomer to lunch at this excellent eatery, where you're treated like a VIP! I got the cold ham sandwich and she got the warmed torpedo. We each got a house salad. The food is not only delicious but also priced very reasonably for such large portions! Trust me! They give too much food to eat at one sitting! The 'regulars' are even greeted by name! 😁 Even though it's on the small side, it has a large 'feel' to it due to the lovely, off-white, living room couch with bar stools just inside the entrance! I recommend this place whether dining alone or with a group! ✔🔥

Oh Yum! Family style Italian. We have gone here several times with large groups, they are always very accommodating. The family style is nice. The food is amazing, pizza, ravioli, bread and salad. Everything taste fresh and homemade. Prices are great! They keep it really cool inside too!

Celebrated my brother's birthday here with the whole family, the pizza was amazing very delicious. Caesar salad, spaghetti, and garlic bread were also good, I definitely recommend this restaurant. The entire staff were extremely kind and we'll be coming back, loved it.

This restaurant is an East County staple. I have been going here since I was a kid, and their quality has never faltered. They are the perfect place for a large dinner party or a quiet, intimate date night. The restaurant is clean and the staff is always friendly and the food is authentic and delicious.
They offer take out or dine in.

The best Italian food I have ever tasted. My favorite was the white sauce versus the red, but that’s just personal opinion. The sausage and garlic bread was amazing. The staff went above and made sure our every need was met. The canole was a taste of heaven. Will be back to visit many more times. Thank You for taking such good care of us.

Holiday and cheery atmosphere with good service and a warm welcome. Lots of garlic bread, not just one piece per plate. Very cheesy lasagna!

We've dined at Marechiaro's twice and both times, our dining experience was epic! Pros: service, food quality, cleanliness, menu variety, Cabernet wine (Maddalena), clean restrooms, private parking, Cons: still trying to come up with negatives but am drawing a blank. I'll comment on our last visit... The 7 of us came for dinner after Shadow Mountain Church's Saturday night church service and were served by "B". First of all, B was AMAZING!!! If you get a chance to be seated at any of her tables, you'll be well taken cared of, I promise! From what I can recall, we ordered their 2 antipasto salads, garlic cheese bread, 2 tortellini carbonaras, chicken Parmesan, two large pizzas, a tiramisu to-go, and 2 bottles of Maddalena Cabernet Sauvignon wine. Everything ordered was delicious, B stopped by often and regularly to check on us, our food was served fresh, hot, and delicious as ever! If you're anywhere around the greater El Cajon area, and want some outstanding Italian food without paying through-the-roof prices from places downtown or in Little Italy, look no further than Marechiaro's! I know I'm bragging a lot about B, but all the servers we encountered that night were as friendly as ever. We live in the South Bay area, but can't wait to dine here again.

Da bomb dot com! Food was super yummy and the staff friendly! My only complaint is that I could hardly move after leaving the restaurant because I ate so much! 🤣

This place is in El Cajon ..... With what I consider one of the best pizzas in San Diego I order their small because it's different thin crust well done reminds me of being in New York very very good..... Cooks and weight staff are like family very nice 😁

Delicious, I got the lasagna and my girlfriend got the ravioli and we were pleasently suppruse that there was enough sauce for our meal, plus enough to dipp all the garlic bread into and then more. I do recommend this place and the cashier put forward an effort to open up a conversation.

My family has been coming here for 30+ years. The owner Pat and his family are great people! The food is amazing. They have the best pizza in East County! Nothing on the menu will disappoint.

Picky Italian food guy and I thought it was great. Linguine with clam sauce was very good. Not overpowered with garlic. Italian Sausage was good and the red sauce was very very good. Not overly sweet which is a pet peeve of mine. My little one loved the spumoni ice cream. The service was all smiles and seemed to love working there. My family enjoyed it!

Great lunch specials. Love their food and service. We are usually a party of 5 or more.

This place is awesome! It's family-owned, so if you care about supporting local businesses, especially in this economy, you can feel good about eating here. We got the Family Feast, which comes with pizza, two pastas, a medium salad, and garlic bread. Servings are enormous. Unless you're starving, you may want to split . I haven't had a sandwich, but I have had a few pastas and different pizzas, and they are all yummy. If you are in the mood for something a little different, try the White Pizza. It's amazing. It's made with olive oil, provolone, feta cheese, garlic, red onions, and basil.
We didn't get any photos this time, maybe next time. It's my daughter's go-to for her birthday.
