This place has the BEST banana crepes ever! The service was excellent! I can't believe I have lived in El Cajon my entire adult life and haven't eaten here until now. I highly recommend this place. Food is good, prices are reasonable and the service was excellent.

This is a diner style place with diner decor like license plates, movie and TV pictures, and road/car signs & pictures. We went for breakfast but they also have smokehouse menu for later. Good variety of menu items, large portions and reasonable prices. Food was very good and used fresh items. The zucchini muffin my son in law received was even warmed up! The staff is mostly young men who are courteous and attentative, they got a big tip. Definitely a return place on future visits.

First of all the service is amazing! They treat you like family and it's so nice.

Man oh man. This place is awesome! Pretty small interior but awesome old school decor inside. I got the biscuits and gravy and French toast and it was delicious. The customer service in here is top notch. Super inviting atmosphere. Definitely one of the best diners I’ve ever been to in my life hands down. It’s too bad I live in Chicago. Definitely make a stop here if you are in the San Diego area.

This beautiful and vintage dinner is a must eat place for any family. The food selection is phenomenal and it all taste super good!

Good food and service. If they are busy, service is slow. Been here a few times.

Had biscuits and gravy, with added sausage. Gravy is good, but not a sausage gravy. Biscuits are light and good as well. The "added sausage at $2", is one sausage link sliced and tossed on the biscuits before the gravy is added. Has a good flavor, but very small amount.

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Very busy for a reason. Definitely worth the wait. This is a family restaurant for sure. I will be back

A splendid place to go to for a delicious breakfast or lunch. It's a 50's style diner. DASHA is our favorite waitress but they're all wonderful. The food is superb. They offer double delicious BBQ and smoked items. They have a patio if you prefer. However, the atmosphere inside is awesome. Prices are reasonable.

This place was like a breath of fresh air to eat at The food was good customer service was great They would even take time to talk to the customers and sit down with them for a second or two My wife found this place by accident we will be going back prices are fair

Had the yummiest breakfast. Everything was on point. Biscuits were fluffy and hot. Gravy was Soo good. Eggs and bacon cooked perfectly. Our waitress was so good, I thought she was the manager! She's wasn't though. Thank you for a wonderful eating experience.

Delicious, filling, quick service... The ham steak, juicy and THICK... Best I've ever HAD! Have the fried cherry pie with ice cream or your trip wasn't complete! Fantastic!

It's a perfect family spot. It's where I meet my friends for brunch. Little to no Waite for a table. It's perfect and super affordable

Went in my son's suggestion. We both ordered breakfast items. Delicious. Friendly service, hearty portions! My son got pancakes, they were 😋 I got a breakfast sandwich also 😋 Clean full but not packed, reasonably priced

Best breakfast in El Cajon. The pancakes are my favorite here. Great buttermilk flavor. The breakfast menu is great. The omelets are good too. I always enjoy the hashbrowns, pancakes and omelets. Good service.

First of all the customer service was on point as soon as we sat to our seats we we're brang drinks and made welcome and the menu very easy and intresting very polite staff, i had the ham steak and eggs which was amazing and my wife has a mexi scrable very tasty, and always made sure we had everthing including refills at out visit definitly my new spot lol forgot to take pics before we ate cause it looked and smelled great

Izzies is great. Ownership changed a few years ago and there were some changes associated with that but they found their legs fairly quickly. Their pancake game is outstanding. Nothing fancy, but they have the best basic buttermilk pancakes in town if you like them on the thin side. They have sneaky good BBQ, too.

I've had the pancakes. They are great. The "stuffed" crepes were just fresh fruit & crepes (I expected the crepes to be wrapped around a cream of some sort). The Denver omelette, I added cheddar cheese, was what it said it was. I tried my wife's breakfast potatoes, and they were ok. Overall, the food is nothing special, but dependably decent. But the atmosphere is a very local feel with pictures of older generation stars (Elvis and others), homey decor, and very friendly service. It is a very pleasant place to go with close friends and family. We'll go again, and I'll try something else on their menu to see if there is something besides the pancakes that will be my go-to order.
