It's really clean and has a variety of items. I totally recommend it. In particular, the sushi that looks like it was freshly made is impressive.

I love this Japanese supermarket. The shopping center is clean and nice instructions. The staffs are nice and patient for helping you. I like visiting here on the weekends for the fresh onigiri and bentos. You can also find interesting foods here!

Great place for Japanese groceries locally. Despite being somewhat smaller than Mitsuwa marketplace, the area crams more varied products in place. Personally, my favorite area is the can coffee fridge-- no store that I've seen has the Georgia/demitasse coffee that this store does. Good stop for some different jp alcohol and beauty products if that's your bag. Decent selection of groceries in general with massive Japanese flair. Not too many American products in-store.

Marukai is the heaven of Japanese food lovers, especially snacks and sweets. There are Japanese stuffs (plum candy called otokoume) that I can't find in Japanese grocery store but I found here in Marukai! The selections of snacks and dessert are mesmerizing. The ready-to-eat food looks awesome, especially when it is on sale like 20% off when the store is about to close. That's how you know that it is a real Japanese grocery store lol.

This is my favorite Japanese market in the whole south bay area. The prices are slightly lower than Mitsuwa on Saratoga ave, maybe because of the lease as this area does not have the heavy traffic volume.

They pretty much have it all, prepared foods like futomaki, california rolls, ect, sashimi sets, all types of seafoods that you can build your own kaisendon. (Which I have done)

Fresh fruits and vegies, tofu from SJ tofu, all types of meats cut and individually wrapped for ramen, sukiyaki or hot pots.

I would just avoid the heavy crowds around dinner time. Since the place is relatively small, the lines go down the aisle ways and can ties up your time.

One of my favorite Japanese grocery store conveniently located in Cupertino. Not only it has fresh seafood, poultry and fresh produce, I also love their daily freshly prepared bento box.

Never tire of shopping this location.

Great store for Japanese. They also have a Hawaiian food section. Marukai has items that I have not seen anywhere else. Excellent selection of seafood. The store is very clean and well stocked. Many items are are sale. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Friendly staff and very helpful.

Good place for sushi dinner (supermarket grade of course) and dessert! Inari sushi is my favor. They have two different packing: 4 big pieces and 5 small pieces. Small pieces taste better! Tarami Mix Yoghurt Dessert is new for me, yummy!

More sale on items than most other Japanese market around. Just becareful they do have a few items from China. This place only make you wanting more. The seasonal items are neat to try also. The skincare products are a bit higher price. I recommend elsewhere.

Very nice selection of Asian products and also Hawaiian goods as well.
The Bento boxes didn't seem very fresh, though. (Much better quality and selection at Mitsuwa.)
Love "Daiso". Great place to purchase quality gifts are a very reasonable price!

This is your standard Japanese grocery store but what gives them 5 stars is the stocking of difficult to get Japanese ingredients like uni and sake. Could be more cleaner or organized but none or that matters when they sell things you can't buy anywhere else.

Good luck finding parking! Hint: go early when they open.

Always fun to explore and shop in this tiny Japanese grocery store. Fresh veggies, meats, seafood, also sells sushi and poke plates, etc. They have local Hawaii snack too. 😋

Even though this is quite a drive from my home, I am going to make this my regular store for all Japanese products as their prices are really low And the produce is super fresh.

This is a great place for Japanese groceries! While their produce section can sometimes be lacking compared to Mitsuwa, they have a great selection of meat and fish! I also love the variety of snacks and drinks. They get cool kitchenware from Japan too. Sometimes they get grocery items from specific regions of Japan, so I like to check them out even if I don't need groceries.

This is a fantastic market with lots of variety. They carry goods from the Japanese chain Don Quixote, including different local snacks from all over Japan. Coming to the bay area from Aomori prefecture, I was very excited to find Nanbu Senbei among their stock. This is also the first place in SJ that I have found smoked quails eggs. The prices and options are very nice!

Here, I can find everything I miss from my trip to Japan. Onigiri, sushi, poke bowl, snacks, you name it. They have a lot of skincare and other things you might need or might be tempted to buy for no reason. The staff is friendly too!
