Taqueria Vallarta

Worked next door, checked around for some Mexican authentic food. This location pulled up. Saw few reviews and they were not so pleasant, I personally like to give a place try. I don’t feel like following what reviews Are writing about bad service bad atmosphere, came in got really good service from the young lady that took our order. She was good at explaining what she had and what I was interested in. We got two shrimp tacos for one order, one order lingua burrito and for another person fries. Everything was fresh and tasted great!

First visit. My co-worker brought me and I got a burrito. The burrito was great, but the salsa was excellent. 75% medium, 25% extra spicy. Second visit, I got the Thursday special, wife got the fish. Excellent experience again. It’s like I haven’t left East Los Angeles

This place is legit. Really good quality food and service. I ordered carne asada and it appears they have a good meat source. Also this place is very clean. Prices were fair and I love that they don't give you them little "street tacos". These are regular taco size! 👍🏽🇲🇽

Very good food. Gets a lil busy during the week about lunch time. But that's to be expected. Staff is always nice and friendly.

There are so many excellent Mexican restaurants in the area but Taqueria Vallarta is my favorite. This spot was a thrice weekly treat when I worked a couple blocks away and I still drive in from Campbell every now and then to get their hot salsa and a big bag of house-made chips (not to mention their tacos are to die for, especially covered in said hot salsa).

It used to be owned by an older couple who always said hi to me and my dad when we came in-- I think their children took over. I still get top notch, friendly service every time. Prices are great, food is even better.

I love the way they offer perfectly sized bags of chips and salsa with their meals. I don't go often enough to get anything but the giant tubs anymore, but it used to be such a perfect combo for lunch.

I can't express enough how amazing their red hot salsa is. It's not tooooo hot, but has the perfect mix of flavor. And the texture is amazing too-- just thick and oily enough. Unlike any other.

Food is always great and tasty. Their tacos are full size, not street, and a pretty good value for your money. When I'm at work, this is my go to spot for mexican food.

Update:
We don't visit as often as we used to, which is probably why our faces aren't recognized anymore, lol. There's been a change in people there.
Food is just as good as always, you want quality food at an affordable price, go here.
Service - we called 5 times (maybe the number has changed or they were just that busy) but never could get through. Used to call in our order almost every time so we could jump in the car and food would be ready by the time we got there. This time, ordered in person since I had to.
Make sure you know when you're ordering how many salsas you want, it's 1 & done now unless you pay for it in advance. Wasn't provided an option to just pay the 25¢ more for each extra.

All in all, great place, great food, and that's all that matters.
Would love an online ordering system someday, in case we can't get through again.

My co-workers and I love this place. We go at least 1-2 times a week for burritos and Tortas. Their meats are killer, I usually get carnitas, but sometimes witch it up. Asada, barbacoa, and pollo are all great. My co-workers swear by their asada. Authentic food, great people, fast service, it's a win in anyone's book.

I’ve waited too long to post a review of Taqueria Vallarta. Just love this place! Family owned/run, friendly, delicious food, and if you like spicy salsa their red is bar none the best you’ll find anywhere. I’ll put it up against any, it’s that good...but you gotta like it hot! Their carnitas is also insanely good but I’ve had many different items on the menu and never been disappointed. Go check ‘em out!

Fast and tasty.I ordered 3 meat

Randomly stumbled into this spot that can be easily overlooked for where it's located. Ordered a super burrito and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The ingredients tasted great and tasted fresh. Go ahead and check out this hidden gem, I doubt there will be disappointment.

I just tried this place for the first time today. Why did I wait so long??? Their Asada fries were unbelievable, and my super shrimp burrito was too awesome for words. My new favorite place.

I found this place over 15 years ago, and by my estimate I've eaten more than 600 meals here because I try to get there once a week. They have the best carnitas in the Bay Area that I've found, juicy, flavorful with a delicious piquancy. With a change in ownership in 2017 I was scared, but the new owners have done the original founders proud. The food is still magnificent, and several modernizations have spruced up the place. It is still not a fancy establishment, so if you're looking for fancy this is not the place. If you are looking for yummy Mexican food at a good price with friendly and attentive staff, this IS the place.

Excellent food the spicy brown salsa is hard to stay away from it has superb flavor not for the faint of heart it packs a punch on the my heat level.

I have been getting foods to go from this taqueria for over 10 years now and it has always been reliable great food (although I always get a couple of same items so not sure how other things taste.) Their salsa has more onions and saltier than I'd prefer but great taste nevertheless. Excellent taco salad, burrito with Spanish rice, etc. Very friendly service too, love this place!
