Family owned since the start. I appreciate places that are consistent & offer a different experience in a gentrified town. This place is always excellent, fresh, simple, and offer authentic Mexican food & grocery items. I like to get my dried chilies & hibiscus flowers here.👌

Burritos are very good (and large). People inside are very nice. Market is very cute. Thank you. The green salsa is amazing and not too spicy. Also like the pico de gallo.

Market with awesome kitchen & staff. Food is off the charts taste. Home/authentic dishes . Stop here when in Carpinteria or coming through from Santa Barbara...bike rides or travel. Never disappointed.

Birria is a Mexican dish from the state of Jalisco. It is a traditional ancestral soup or stew made from a combination of chili pepper-based goat meat adobo, garlic, cumin, bay leaves, and thyme, and cooked at a low heat. Birria is slow-stewed in a pot.

After trying out many of the local Latin food establishments in town, including one recommended a couple of times, Reyes Market is hands down the most authentic Latino food in Carpinteria. They lived up to the hype, and the food was beyond delicious. This is family owned and operated. The staff is always very kind, and professional in keeping the tables clean and making sure you have everything you need and your order is right the first time. No I'm not related lol, I'm actually new to the area. They serve breakfast all day and the lunch/dinner entrees honestly taste just like homemade food. Reyes Market is also a small neighborhood store for the Latino community where you find food, drinks, and snacks from Latin America. I moved here from Colorado. The only place I ate at this good was actually in New Mexico. Sorry Colorado.

Fantastic taqueria with the best tamales (Rajas, chicken, pork, vegetable) in the area during Christmas time. There are tables inside and out to eat there. I also really enjoy their burritos.

Of all the restaurants we’ve been to so far this place is the best. Clean place and all you order is fresh and delicious. Yummy 😋

I’m in restaurant sales and went in there with the intention of grabbing a quick lunch and hoping to pitch to the owners. I came nowhere near getting a sale from them but I was blessed enough to try a burrito. That was a major win. Beans, cheese and chile verde con nopales.

This burrito will tattoo itself on your soul. You will think about it at random times. This is an award winning, death bed memory burrito. The sad part though is that it’s 2.5 hrs away from home. I’ll likely end up thinking about it and craving it so much one day that I might just making the drive just for this burrito.

The food is always good, there is usually soccer or something on the television, and now they even have Boba! I love their tortas, pork rib plates (costillas con puerco) , bens and rice, soups...all good. Whenever we are working in Carp this is our go to for lunch. Careful, the salsas are hot!

This is some of the best Mexican food I've ever had and I'm from Los Angeles. I've eaten in South l.a., East LA, San Fernando Valley and the city San Fernando. The steak burrito was excellent, the chili relleno was excellent and the meatball soup was unbelievable. Best but the best thing I had there was the carnitas Mole. As the saying goes I'll be back I will be back cuz this is one of the best places I've eaten at at Carpinteria.

I can't say enough about this place, the food is absolutely outstanding! We are from out of town working in the area and they made us feel right at home, friendly and very polite. We will definitely be back!

Authentic and simple almost every breakfast place here claims it's the best in town (lol...they do). This one is authentic and real as it greats for Mexican California food. Tip the chef! It's delicious, filling and watch out for the red salsa. Some drops are sufficient for added burn spice. Love it. Pricing is 15%to 30% less than most places here.

Nice little mini-market, nice mexican foid, good enchiladas, excellent price-quality ratio. Friendly staff. I recommend.

"Friendly, helpful people and fresh, delicious food at fair prices in a clean comfortable environment." That's how it was when I wrote those words in 2017 and that's how it is now. I love Reyes Market and never miss an opportunity to have lunch there!

Pulled off the 101 without a plan, but starving, of course. My expectations were low. By chance I came upon Reyes Market. I ordered two chicken tacos— the best tacos I’ve ever had! Seriously!! The meat was tender and perfectly spiced, and the garnish was generous. The friendly, fast service (and clean restroom) were most welcome, too! If only every pit stop was so lucky. I will be back!
