Papillon Press STL

I have been eyeing the beautiful Oiseau et Rose print/painting for a long time. I told my husband at a craft show that it would look great in out newly painted bedroom. For my birthday, he surprised me with the print and a thrifted frame. He said finding and purchasing the piece was easy with the help of the shop owner/artist. It's beautiful!

Came to Papillion Press for their Valentine Collage workshop. So much fun! Madeleine was incredible to work with and made it so easy to get started, be creative, & have fun.

Papillion’s notebooks have become my go-to notebook. I take it with me everywhere. The size and flexible cover make it easy for me to pack.

Fountain Pen Ink never bleeds through or feathers. The paper also holds up well to an eraser when I use a pencil. My last notebook still looks great after over a month of heavy use and travel.
The beautiful cover encourages me to write daily and feels like a reward when I pick them up. My favorite design is the Dutch Pearls cover.

Madeleine also helped me find my perfect pen, nib, and ink combo. It was fun testing out different pens and inks until we found what works best for me.

We purchased SEVERAL beautiful pieces recently and love all of them. The pictured piece is wonderfully textured with muted tones that fits so well in our space. Madeleine has great customer service and an excellent response time. I'm sure we will continue to purchase art here.

Beautiful shop with premium stationary and beautiful artwork! They have a great selection of fountain pens and ink as well! the letter press prints and artwork are gorgeous as well, and quality of every item they carry is very high. it's a great place to go when you're buying a special gift for someone (or treating yourself to nice stationary)!

I had the loveliest time at the Valentine-making craft day this week! What a joy to sip, snack, and create together in this cozy makers’ space. The prints provided were gorgeous, and I’ll treasure the little valentines we made for years to come. Hope this becomes an annual tradition!

Stopped by on a Saturday to see what vintage pens they had in person. Spent wayy too much time browsing their stock (along with the paper & leather goods too!) Bought a gorgeous 1948 Esterbrook for my husband and a beautiful card. I will definitely be returning!

Ummm... a father-daughter small business duo? Hand-carved, hand-painted block prints? Designs taken from historical literary endpapers? Say less. I'm stunned by the artistry and craftsmanship at Papillon Press.

Madeleine was absolutely amazing and so generous during our collage class. As someone who is not very artistic all of her prints made it impossible not to make something beautiful!

I love the piece of art I purchased from Papillon Press! I found one of their Oiseau et Rose prints at an art festival in St. Louis, and Madeleine took the time to explain to me the backstory of how she and her father found the design in an antique book, made the prints of it in-house and then watercolored it by hand. Not only is the art they created beautiful, but I really appreciated that they explained the history of the original piece and every step that went into recreating it with sustainable materials. If you’re in the St. Louis area I’d highly recommend checking out their new storefront.

Great shop! Madeline owns and runs the press which stands right there in the shop. The paper, the notebooks and the cards are handmade and she uses fountain pen friendly paper. Go in to see the beautiful shop she has created! I highly recommend it!
