El Amigo Burrito

First time here. I ordered a shrimp cocktail which I enjoyed. Others in the group had various combination plates (no pics)
Everyone was pleased with the food. I really enjoyed the tasty red sauce served with chips. Will definitely be going back.

These are maybe the best tacos I've ever had. The tortilla shells are fried to a delicious golden crisp. Outstanding food.

This place is incredible for family style mexican food. Been coming for years and it is just as great every time! My favorite dishes are the Chili Verde, and Juevos Rancheros (with Verde sauce of course). Service is amazing and they remember their regulars for sure!

I had a great lunch. Staff are courteous. I ordered the ground beef enchilada special that came with refried beans and rice. It was all very tasty.

I was looking for a Mexican restaurant near my location while at the Car Dealership, and this place came up. I read the reviews and came over. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I had the Chili Verde Burrito lunch special. Yummy! The service was so good l, the food came up quickly and was served nice and hot. Can't wait to come back.
The owner Jose even came by the table to check on us and chat for a bit.

I found this gem of a restaurant when I used to live closer to it and went fairly regularly. Since I've moved, I usually order out through food delivery apps but this is my go-to mexican spot. The el amigo burrito supreme is really good and I can count on one hand how many times I've ever had a food issue from this restaurant (given how many times I've ordered, that's a great experience!).

I commonly recommend this place to people I know and I'm not exaggerating when I say I've eaten here over 100 times. Good food, fair prices, big portions. Love it.

Quantity is quality. Outstanding service and best margaritas. You can’t never go wrong by eating authentic Mexican food. Irwin’s approved.

Food is always piping hot and fresh. We always order the shrimp chimichangas with rice and beans. I don't think they are on the menu. Just ask, they'll make them. Lunch and dinner platters start with a garden salad,(sorry, these are usually pretty wet. I'm not a big fan.) then you get rice and beans on the side. The orders are large. Servers are nice and efficient. Restaurant is in a little strip mall. Easy parking, lots of room. Again food is delicious!

Try their El Amigo Burrito and you won't be disappointed. One of the best burrito I had around this area. Lip smacking enchilada sauce on top. Right amount of sour cream. Good size portion. Felt worth every penny.

Bring in cash. This place charge service fee of 4% if you use credit card. My suggestion to the owner is to waive off this service fee.

Got a shrimp burrito & a chicken verde burrito, both shmackkk. Only thing is, I wish they had come with rice? Or maybe it does but they forgot to add it lol it was low key soup-y.

Friendly staff, authentic food, clean, good atmosphere. First time trying here and was very happy with service and food.

Wow! My new favorite Mexican restaurant. It’s a little difficult to find, located next door to the enterprise dealership. The food is superb. Even the rice and beans are flavorful. Service is fast and friendly. Do yourself a favor and make sure you don’t pass up a chance to eat here.

They really need AC though in here. It’s very warm inside.

I dropped off my VW for an oil change and went for lunch. A hidden gem. Fresh salsa, lunch specials, very tasty

While waiting for my breakfast burrito first thing in the morning, I witnessed the delicious smells coming from the kitchen, the coworkers chatting, and the blenders going at full speed 😊 There are no words to express how thankful we should all be for Mexican food 🌯 Thanks, El Amigo Burrito! 🙏🏽

Been coming here for I think 15 years now? The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is consistently good and the prices are reasonable. Will continue to come for as long as they're open.

I've probably ordered the Amigo Burrito Supreme a hundred times while at home over the pandemic... and I'll order it a hundred more!! Well spiced chicken, flavorful rice, smooth refried beans, perfectly cooked enchilada sauce, I can't think of a bad thing to say about this at all. I've ordered food to-go, I've dined there in-person, and I've even ordered just a pint of their enchilada sauce so I could use it for cooking at home-- that's how good it is!
People are complaining about high prices in the other reviews?? Well, you get what you pay for, this isn't some flimsy taco with a sprinkling of lettuce and dry meat. From their burritos, tamales, enchiladas, and fajitas, everything I've ordered has been HUGE in size and HUGE in flavor. My favorite burrito place in the Bay.

If you're a Chile Verde fan always trying to find the best around, you can stop searching.

I used to enjoy the Chili Verde at a Mexican restaurant in the South Bay called Goveas (on Quimby). I believe they retired and sold the restaurant (but not the recipes) and it was never the same.

Fast forward 3-4 years, my wife was able to reach the previous owners to beg them to make some for my 50th birthday party. She said there was no need because her family still uses the same recipe at El Amigo in Santa Clara!!! Who knew? We catered my birthday and our Fantasy Football Draft.

Anyway, my faith in humanity is restored and we now again have the best Chili Verde back on our lives.

It's a quaint family operation that always seems busy at lunch and dinner.

I used El Amigo for a catered lunch. Everyone loved the food. I got to taste it, too, and I can say it was some of the best in the area. The Chili Relleno and Chicken Enchiladas were large and yummy with fresh perfectly cooked ingredients. The Beef Flautas and Chicken Quesadillas were a big hit. The hot sauce is very nice. The pico de gallo is so fresh. We had a little faux pas and Jose went above and beyond to fix it. Really great quality food and outstanding service. We'll certainly use them again.

Great home cooking style Mexican food, super friendly staff, decent prices. I had Tacos Carnitas.

Great food, wonderful atmosphere and splendid service. The horchata is to die for. Been going there for many years and I will for many more I am sure.
