I apologize for the fact that I've not been back to the joint since the mid-90s, but I do remember that I used to Love that place when I lived in Boulder Creek, always was in Santa Cruz Davenport area, acoustic Christmas in San Jose, I once upon a time used to consider California one of the Greatest Places, nowadays I don't know what to say...

Small produce section, but fresh, in season and easy access- front of store, nothing between me, door and register to distract me! Some high end chocolates and such, but nothing I can't resist now 👍
Helpful staff, locals, small community so easy to order things I need. It's my go to store.

I love this store.

The attention to detail is amazing. I appreciate the hand made items, the crafts. I love America made products but also appreciate something made in the Amazon to support a small group of people living off the land or say a tribe or group in Africa or Nepal.

I also appreciate the butcher counter. (I do try to shop when Cade is working because one of the other managers whos gone now never stocked the meat counter..Cade makes up new cuts...keeps the selection fresh and stocked..there's another couple of butchers that are pretty good too..just glad the one guy is gone..he was really rude sometimes and lazy with the stocking.. often no ground beef, no flap meat, no rib eyes, no new York steaks.. nothing.. lol)

I'm a recovering vegan and so high quality nutrient dense meat is very important to me. I want to eat the best so I appreciate the amount of effort the buyers put in to the quality in this entire store.

I love the fresh herbs too and the attention given to keeping things fresh. I'm a foodie and spend a lot of money on food. May as well be top quality.

love wild roots, they carry brands and items you don't normally find in a regular big boxstore supermarkets, great spice and herb section, specialty honeys, WHICH I LOVE.

Great place, great staff. Will be going here over Ben Lomond market from now on.

Wild Roots is a wonderful local co-op and I'm extremely glad they have an outpost in Boulder Creek. The staff are very nice.
The meat department are very professional and good at what they do. There's always an excellent selection.
The vegetables are always fresh and vibrant.
Oh- and the sandwiches are phenomenal. Great deal for the price. I recommend the Henry Cowell on ciabatta.
My one request would be I wish they carried organic sourdough baguettes.

My homegrown go to, Wild Roots Market has everything that I need to shop locally. Meat and produce departments can't be beat for quality and value and the bulk herbs and pantry staples save on cost and packaging. Love the hardworking, friendly staff that make shopping a pleasure, check out Wild Roots Market when you're looking to stimulate the local economy.

Great readymade Roast Beef sandwiches

It's really nice to have a health food store right here. Everyone who works here is very nice, lines do tend to back up at the registers, though. The sandwiches and salads in the deli are all good quality, healthy alternatives to the normal restaurant fare. The meat department is well run with fine looking cuts. I wouldn't say it's a great place to buy your seafood. Gorgeous produce, top notch, and we'll displayed, greets you as you walk in. All in all a fine store. My only real complaint is that is very expensive, and, if you want organic to be the norm, the price has to be affordable to the common man.

I will always appreciate a store that is willing to help a customer out in a pinch! We made it there right at closing to get an avocado to finish off our dinner plans and the staff was kind enough to let us run in and grab one! I would've liked a couple other items, but the avocado was priority, and it really made our dinner perfect. Thank you for sharing a small town feeling to an outsider visiting ;-)

Well I'll be to the great place for vegan food shopping and you get all kinds of variety of spices, flour, decor and interior design decor. Very courtish customer service

I love this store!!!! I feel healthier just walking in but at the same time I bought the best strawverry shortcake cupcake.. The employees are so nice.

What an awesome little market with great real food offerings. Large selection of organic and non processed or minimally processed items typically only found in larger, expensive specially markets. Staff was very nice.

So happy that Wild Roots took this over bc otherwise the former New Leaf was going to allow General Mills inside. Bad choice for them. Great job keeping fresh food for the new owners of Wild Roots!!

Great store I just happened upon and if I'm back the area, I will definitely go back. Great selection of the staples and some good food to go options, too
