Wonderful staff. They were knowledgeable about ebike specifics and has a great selection in size and type. Would have preferred red but, no worries. They made the purchase of a new bike very pleasant and timely (as we were from up north).

Finally went to epicenter cycling and purchased a couple of new bikes. Miles, who was working when I first went into inquire about the bikes was there again to help me The second time when I went back to make my purchase. I was actually happy that he was there because he has one of the best attitudes I've ever encountered from somebody who worked at a store. He was very helpful courteous kind thoughtful and listened and answered every question that I had. Depending on the kind of bike you want and your budget there's a good selection for you to choose from. So if you ever in the market for a bike, visit epicenter cycling and see what they have to offer. I happen to visit four different areas in Santa Cruz before I made my choice. Thank you Miles for your professionalism and all you did to help me to make the right decision on the bikes I wanted.

Rented a Trek Fuel EX 8 29 which was cool because I have the same bike. The staff was awesome. Super friendly and told me how to get to the good spots!

Price wasn't the highest in town either.

Service shop managed to squeeze me in for some emergency work on my road bike while I was out there on a cycling trip. They got it running beautifully by the next morning and basically saved my trip. Staff was a pleasure to interact with as well. Glad I found this place!

Arrived in Santa Cruz at 10am and right from the get go I broke my derailleur. Quick trip to Epicenter Cycling saved the day and I was back on the trails at 10:30 with new derailleur.Well stocked shop with friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff!

These are great people to deal with and they have a huge inventory from which to find just the right bike. After test riding 3 contenders I ended up with what I feel is the perfect bike for me. After the purchase they remain available to tweak my bike and help me anyway they can. I couldn't be happier.

When I went into Epicenter Cycling, I was looking for a hard-tail mountain bike but ended up with a full-suspension model (FUEL EX 5 Deore) that is absolutely the most fun, most capable bicycle that I have ever owned. The salesperson, Zack, was friendly and helpful, and while he showed me the original type of bicycle that I had in mind, he also encouraged me to try out a full-suspension model because he thought that it would suit me better.

You could say that this is pretty standard upselling, but the point is that Zack was right. After riding both bikes, I could see clear advantages to the full-suspension model. I bought it and took it out that day to Wilder Creek Ranch and rode along the bumpy, beautiful cliff trails and had a wonderful ride. My old hybrid, no-suspension bike is ok on those trails, but it is slower and more challenging to maneuver among the bumps and ruts.

So, after listening to me talk about the sort of riding that I've done and that I want to do, Zack directed me toward a bicycle that's a perfect fit. The suspension set-up makes the trails so much more manageable and the dropper post is a thing of beauty. Who knew? The quality of my riding experience improved immensely.

The staff at Epicenter Cycling knows their products well and Trek bicycles are great. I especially appreciate the lifetime tune-ups and fit adjustments that come with my new bike purchase. I don't buy new bicycles often, and I wanted to buy one that I would get years of enjoyment from, which I know that I have.

I'd definitely recommend anyone in the market for a new bicycle to visit Epicenter Cycling.

My wife and I are on an extended mountain bike journey through California. We needed an emergency part and the owner helped me out very quickly and by the way - didn’t charge for the part I needed. Super nice guy and a really beautiful shop!

I love the bike I purchased at Epicenter Cycling! I went there 3 times looking at this bike I liked. The second time I took it out for a spin, and I loved it. Each time I went there, the staff was welcoming, very friendly and knowledgeable. All the employees were really nice people. I've only had the bike for one day so far, but it is nice. I really liked the service that is included for life with this purchase. Every six months you take it in to get it serviced and checked, and think this is a great idea to ensure it is working at its best, and it will help your investment last longer. I also bought some accessories that will come in handy. The only thing I saw that could be improved was more basket selections. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family!

I am in the final stages of preparing for the most difficult bike event I have ever attempted - the TCR, a 3000+ km race across Europe - and I stopped in for a spare derailleur hanger. The staff was very helpful, supportive and knowledgeable. I would be considered very, very experienced, but I still found their advice constructive and useful. I really appreciate the extra time and effort they have put into my desires. They are not simply pushing sales - they took the time to explore what I was looking for, what my style and abilities were, and gave me options to think about. I am impressed with the shop and its employees.

Best place to rent Ebike for sure. Always have few of them available. Fully charged. 10 min from you walking in to drive out. Bikes in a very good condition and have much very big range. Much bigger then most of the riders themself :) that l you guys for incredible journey! Best $80 I've ever spend!

What a great experience I had at Epicenter Cycling. This business has been my go-to store for TREK since I have had my FX 7.5 serviced there in the past. I wanted to upgrade to a nice road bike as my 68th birthday present. (I've been using toe clips for 53 years, so I was a little nervous about making the switch to clipless.) I went to the store and looked over a few bikes and Shawn offered to help me. He asked a few questions about what kind of riding I did, and he recommended the Domane SL 6 eTap. Shawn explained all the features on the bike, many of which are new to me. He picked out the correct size for me and gave me a quick fitting. I took the bike out for a test ride and loved it. Made the down-payment for it when I got back to the store, along with buying the great helmet Shawn picked for me for the test ride. Within a few days, the Crimson-colored bike I requested was shipped to Epicenter and Shawn built it for me. Very pro build, by the way. I got a call from Chris (another helpful employee there) to let me know that the bike was ready. I went to the store to pick it up and the bike was absolutely beautiful. Shawn helped me find the right shoes and the perfect pedals for my personal style of riding. He then gave me a great fitting, even using a weight on a string and a protractor thingy to get the angles precise. He measured many things and really took his time to get everything perfect. A real professional fitting. Not once did I ever feel rushed or hurried. The entire experience at Epicenter and with Shawn was quality one-on-one time, with lots of pro advice and all my questions and concerns answered professionally. He explained many things about using clipless pedals and he helped me practice using them in the store for the first time. I always felt like I was in good hands with honest and genuine feedback. I absolutely love the bike!

I brought in two bikes to get serviced on a Tuesday morning and both bikes were ready by Thursday early afternoon. Excellent service ! One bike needed a lot of attention and they made it ride like it was brand new. I would recommend Epicenter Cycling to all my friends/family and or anyone else who asked me what bike shop I would suggest.

Everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful. I didn't know much about what kind of bike I wanted or needed but they helped to guide me smoothly through the process while explaining different features in detail. They helped me find the right size of frame for my height and adjusted the seat for me when I took it out for a test ride. I ended up with an awesome bike and a couple accessories that they attached for me before I left the shop. Overall, it was a super smooth, pleasant experience, and I'd 100% buy from here again and/or recommend it to a friend!

Matt was super friendly, and helpful with a last minute request on some brake pads adjustment. Had exactly what i needed. Will be back!

I had a wonderful experience. Both times I came in late and ended up keeping the staff past their closing times and I never felt rushed. Everyone was so helpful. Im stoked with the bike I got and all the extra help I got with choosing the accessories for my bike.

Bought a Trek EXe MTB in the Spring after extensive consultation with the staff at Epicenter. Put over a1000 miles in since then and absolutely stoked on this bike!

Very easy to complete the rental online. The bike was ready at the specified time. We had a great ride at Wilder Ranch. I will definitely rent again on my next visit.
