I had the pleasure of meeting Brad Sears and his team at Consumer Music during a special Open Mic event that included a recipient of A Wish of a Lifetime where the nice lady learned to play guitar and performed in front of a live audience. The music and setting at this location in Vallejo are fantastic. Don't look, just go..! You won't be disappointed.

Brad is an excellent person, he personally helped me find the right Spanish guitar for me and we made a started a new friendship as well. His music business is very complete. You will find great deals and lots of nice accessories and music gigs!!!

A very nice shop with friendly and helpful staff. A perfect place to go for lessons or for your next instrument. They happily let me try some guitars, helped me find things I needed, and even gave me a tour of the lesson rooms and recording studio. I have recommended this store to all of my friends and family who play or want to learn to play music.

Super cool spot! First time there and will def be going back. For 20 bucks they wrapped up my guitar real nice for shipping. Kinda pricey but whatev. Hoping it survives the cruel hands of UPS…

Local Musician trying to start a group, Brad has set our sights in the right direction, and always has a good deal for you, I've picked up 2 separate bass guitars from Consumer in the past couple years as well as many accessories, and a combo stack for gigs, and they are beloved pieces of my collection. Good equipment, great staff, even better music shop.

Outrageously, kind and very helpful. The man that helped me was super nice, and I literally would’ve bought anything that I needed from him. They helped me out in a pinch when we were in Napa for a show and forgot some music gear. As I was running out to my car in a rush, I almost left my credit card. He ran out after me to hand it to me, and it saved me a ton of headache. Make this your music store, and do everything you can to keep it in business in this world of big box stores. 10 out of 10 would recommend, and will definitely come again if I need something.

Phenomenal customer service. I had an urgent question about capturing audio for a live show and they helped walked me through the various possibilities step by step (from a non audio technical point of view). Great vibes here, definitely recommend this place! Cheers

Went in with my Harp one day this past week and was greeted by a Very nice employee Mars. The inside of the store was quite impressive. There was a couple customers in and a man which i came to find out was the owner was having a very engaging and visually pleasant electric demo. I really enjoyed how through he was being with the potential customers. I also really appreciate how he was determined to figure out a way to help me tune my harp. I am usually a very busy person and don't like spending a lot of time any where but the vibe that the owner and his employees create I have no doubt I will be visiting again .

Just got my first classical guitar from here and am extremely proud of my purchase. I let Brad know my price range and he set me up in a private room to play on my own. He gave me time to feel the instrument out while he brought different ones in and out. He ended up suprising me with an amazing one that I didnt wanna put down.
Everyone working there was super nice and fun to chat with. They also advertised their open mic nights, which I plan to visit as soon as I can. Thanks folks, i got a new favorite guitar!

I purchased my daughter her first guitar and amp. Brad was extremely helpful in explaining how the products worked. He went above and beyond to answer all our questions. We asked about guitar lessons and he showed us the rooms they have for private lessons, which seemed reasonably priced. I didn’t get the other gentleman’s name. He helped us load the items in the car. Very nice experience for us. I would recommend this business because they are very knowledgeable about their products. I never felt pressured Into buying anything we didn’t need.

A few months ago I popped in looking to see if consumer music offered rental services since I was looking for speakers to set up for my wedding. Brad was more than helpful and knowledgeable so easily I felt comfortable renting equipment from consumer music.

Everything went well at the wedding and when I came back to return the items Brad was so eager to know how the event went. After lost in conversation I was so eager to explore the rest of the store since I knew this was their new location and saw that they have expanded. Really really expanded! Mars, another nice associate, showed me around and I was in awe of what I saw. Rooms for lessons, rooms to have jam sessions, and a recording area! I was blown away. Not only will I tell people to check out this store but I will tell musicians to check it out and make some musical magic here! Can’t wait to go back!

I go here for Ukulele lessons. I love it. Elijah is a wonderful instructor. It's fun and educational. You don't any pressure to be perfect right away, which I felt at other places. Super awesome place to be!

I found this shop via Siri because my local music store in Napa closed. I was immediately welcomed and felt right at home. I was in shopping for an Amp for my daughter, and a little bit for myself. The staff allowed me to try an Amp in my price range and there was no hard sell or anxiety to buy. Just talking music and sound quality. Chops and Groove. Walked out with a Yamaha THR5, new cables, picks, and a new place to browse and kanakapila.

Went to Consumer music for the open mic night. From the store itself to the talented artists who were performing, the night was perfect. The owner Brad is a great guy to talk to and he has a great passion for the community, music, and instruments.

One if the guitar store I’ve been to 10/10. prices might seem a bit high at first but your paying for phenomenal customer service and you’re supporting a local business. I purchased a set of strings, broke one while installing, and they replaced free of charge no questions asked.

This is a great local music store offering a carefully selected line of quality instruments and equipment. Their customer service is excellent, and it makes a nice change to be greeted by a member of staff when you arrive instead of having to find somebody to help you. Nice home town music shop great customer service help me out very knowledgeable gave me tool and explained how to maintain my guitar.
He had great selection lots for the kids brought back memories I don't know how he compete with the big box stores.

Super rad experience with these guys. Knowledge and welcoming, answered every question I had. New guitar had a loose jack connection, Brad agreed to upgrade the jack port for free. Will definitely do business there again.
