I'm a 22 year old girl with thin, straight brown hair. My Dad has been going here since I was a kid, and eventually got me to let Marietta cut my hair. She really knows what she's doing. I've had multiple young friends nag me to get a more 'modern' cut or stylist, but 'modern 'just means cut my hair short and make it look raggedy.' No thanks. Marietta is consistent, with a very smooth, clean, precise touch to her work. She's quick, accurate, and experienced. I highly recommend Scorpio's.

Brought my lady here for a treat, they worked very hard to remove stains from her hair when she dyed it in the past. They were friendly and it felt very welcoming. My girlfriend plans on making them her only salon even though she lives 15 miles away.

SPECTACULAR

I just wanted to give a big shout out to Jerry at Scorpio's Salon in Rohnert Park my hair color turned out awesome. I wasn't quite sure at first but it turned out great and I will be returning...........

I really dread making this review and I hope it helps the salon to improve their behaviors and knowledge of hair... Or at least to help someone like me avoid having the same traumatic experience. I'd like to start by saying I have a very good sense of humor and I like a dirty joke in the right environment.. but when the older man who owns the salon did my hair, I believe his name is Jerry, I had a very uncomfortable experience. I should have stated from the get go that I didn't appreciate his comments, but instead I laughed uncomfortably and bit my tongue because I felt vulnerable with dye in my hair. Anytime there was no one else in the room I noticed he would look before making a comment about my body, or how there used to be women trading "services" to get their hair done. He would go "phwew! Just remembering those days" while grabbing my shoulder to "brace himself" and looking down my shirt...
Now I am sad to say that on top of that very uncomfortable atmosphere it smells like cigarettes in there which is an odor I especially don't like. Some might not mind it, but I do.
And to top it all off my hair was totally damaged during the dying process. Like falling out damaged... In all the years I've done it myself I've never damaged my hair to the point that it falls out.
Jerry might be skilled at other hair dying jobs, but with bleach most definitely not... I told him from the get go that I needed him to use the lowest developer and he ignores me and chose a higher level which ended up burning my hair. I tried to trust the older man assuming he knew what he was doing, and I didn't want to disrespect his knowledge but I was definitely right... The foil got so hot it burnt my neck and he even said "that's hot and dangerous". When the foil opened up a huge ball of steam came pouring out... My hair almost caught fire!😭 He then proceeded to take the foil off but didn't rinse it out right away, left the lightener on and continued to dye and wrap my hair in more foil. When he finally rinsed my hair handfuls of hair were falling out. I wanted to get the heck out of there ASAP.
When I washed and conditioned my hair next more and more kept falling out and this continued for days... I found an entire patch of hair (luckily underneath) that had broken off at the roots 😭 I've been using bond repair conditioner religiously and my hair is so dry still, but I'm glad it stopped falling out at least...
I hope that Jerry learns not to do this to people. I definitely learned not to let myself go through something like that ever again.
