I offer my highest possible recommendation for Platypus Wine Tours, we did Sonoma. Our guide Steve was an absolute pro, and curated an unforgettable experience through a unique collection of vineyards we won’t ever forget. Cheers!

First of all, WOW! Our tour guide Jason, I just loved him. My friend and I were reuniting without our husbands and children. I think he felt our energy, and he showed us a great time! He took us to three different places, they were all so awesome. the first one though was loxton winery, I will be thinking of that place for years to come! Visiting the small wineries was what I was looking for. This tour was perfect.
Thank you Jason for such an amazing day and for letting us let our hair down.
You deserve 10 stars, next time we visit Sonoma I hope you are our guide. we will definitely be taking platypus tours again!

Absolutely a great amazing wine tour! We have a so much fun experience with my team friends in this place. Can't imagine how could I handle the happiness. They are so professional, helpful, dependable and very nice! It is a highly recommended booking tour with Platypus.

Our tour, Sonoma valley wineries, was on a Friday and we understood that the wineries visited vary by tour and/or driver. Ours was a lot of fun, with a small group (3 couples), and Jason, our guide was informative and helpful. We appreciated the intimacy of the small wineries and the tasty lunch. Having been on wine tours before, the opportunity to spend time with an actual owner a bonus. We also thank all the wineries for their hospitality. And we'll remember as we enjoy the bottles we brought home.

We used Platypus for winery tours in the Calistoga area in early September 2023. Mike Pavlik was our driver and he was great - very informative and personable. He had good tips for visiting the wineries and he definitely knows the area! I wouldn't hesitate to book Platypus again for a wine tour, and would recommend requesting Mike if you have the chance. We had a fantastic private wine tasting tour with Platypus in July 2023. We used their planning services and Dustin went above and beyond to tailor an itinerary to suit our tastes, and even made lodging and restaurant recommendations. The wineries he chose were just perfect and not ones we would have discovered on our own. On the day of the tour Sarah was great - she was prompt, informative and kept us on schedule without ever rushing us. The service with Platypus was excellent and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a customized tour in the wine country!

Okay, I read the reviews on Google and they were so far ahead of the competition that we had to try it. We were not disappointed. Army was our guide and was full of information and super friendly. He’s also a retired photographer so he took pictures of all of us on the tour. It was clear he knows his business and has personal relationships with each of the wineries that we visited. He answered loads of questions and provided a tour of four excellent locations. He joked with everyone on the tour and was very friendly.

The bus was comfortable with a cheese plate and plenty of water available throughout the trip. They picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. For some others on the trip they offered to take them to their dinner location at the end of the trip. They also had packing boxes for bringing wine home.

Lunch was provided in a wine cave. The lunch consists of salad and sandwiches but was just perfect. Great setting with more tastings. We finished off with a wine and chocolate pairing which was also nice.

The tour provided discounts at most locations (as do most of the hotels) and had seating and arrangements prepared each time we pulled up.

As for the price, we spent more the day prior calling Uber drivers to takes us around and didn’t have any of the expertise or witty banter that we received on the tour. Not to mention the personal relationships that the tour company had with the destinations.

We took the Sonoma tour on our first full day in Sonoma. Could not have chosen a better way to start our trip. Jared was funny, informative, and he took us to three incredible wineries. Highly recommend this tour and definitely ask for Jared!

Absolutely amazing wine tour. We made new friends. Learned a lot about wines and North Sonoma. We made new friends and literally created memories that will be the highlight of our Wine Country trip! Thank you Platypus Tours and Mark. We had a fabulous time!

This tour takes the overwhelming feeling out of Napa! We visited 4 very different and unique wineries in a day tour. Two had wine caves and one had a chocolate tasting as an added bonus. Each tasting except one waived the fee if you purchased a bottle. Cheese plate was included on the bus, picnic lunch, round trip transportation and water.

If you are going to Napa or Sonoma, Platypus is a MUST! They are helpful, professional, dependable, and so nice! We went with a large group, they made our weekend long experience perfect. Patty our planner was incredible, and Kelly our driver went above and beyond to make sure our trip was amazing!

Tour was great, Luis was awesome! Highly recommend booking a tour with Platypus (great name too). We’ll definitely book again the next time we visit.

Recently went on the Sonoma join in tour with my husband and we had an excellent time. They took us to some great vineyards and it was pleasant to be picked up right at our hotel and dropped back off there. We've already discussed when we go back to wine country we'll be booking another tour!

Platypus made it so easy to help plan our day and get the exact experience we were looking for. They asked a lot of questions to make sure they knew what we wanted. Tessa was our driver and she was so prompt, professional, friendly and kind.

A must do on your trip to Napa/Sonoma! The staff is lovely and the group we had on our tour was great company! I recommend to friends anytime they are in the area!

We really enjoyed our day with Doug and Platypus Wine Tours! When my boyfriend and I first booked our trip to Sonoma, we were overwhelmed with how many wineries we could choose from. It was extremely nice to have the Platypus Wine Tours already pick out four great wineries for us, along with setting up private tours of each winery. During our whole stay in Sonoma, it was more fun to see the smaller wineries on this tour because it felt more personalized and they spent more time talking to you about the wine and their history. For anyone going to Sonoma, whether it's your first time or your fifth time, I would highly suggest this tour group because they make it fun and personalized!

We booked a tour of Sonoma wineries through Platypus and had a fantastic experience. Our tour guide was great- tons of fun, very friendly, and clearly had a great relationship with the different wineries that we visited.
We traveled throughout Sonoma to 4 different wineries, each provided a truly unique experience and education on wine making and tasting. Picnic lunch was delicious and the group that we were with were all so friendly. You definitely get your moneys worth with this tour! We would absolutely book again and again with Platypus. Well done!
