Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley

We celebrated my soon to be sister-in-law's bachelorette in Sonoma earlier this month and one of the activities the maid of honor chose for us was this wine trolley. We weren't sure what to expect, but we certainly enjoyed our time in the end! We were the first group to arrive and got the run down from the driver. The first part of the trolley the driver gave us a bit of a history lesson for Sonoma Valley then he moved into playing music for us. We went to 4 wineries starting with the largest one and finishing with the smallest. The first had incredible photo ops and by the last one we were singing all the songs having a blast! Be sure to bring something warm to wear as we ended up in the open air into the early evening and some of our party was getting very chilly. It was overall a very enjoyable experience. Be prepared to spend a decent amount of money if you plan on wine tasting at each winery and purchasing any of the bottles afterwards. I've attached a few of the views we saw on the trolley ☺

Amazing experience! We got to visit 4 different wineries with varying winemaking styles and stories. Paul was a great guide. Learned a lot about Sonoma and how different it is from Napa. 100% would recommend specially if you don't want to drive to get to the wineries.

This was such a fun idea for our 1st day in Sonoma. Paul, the driver and guide, was fun and enjoyed 4 distinct wineries. Highly recommend. Note that the trolley is open and it is windy because of that. Hold on the your hats as 1 guest lost his to the wind!

Highly recommend! What a way to experience the vineyards in Sonoma! I hope you're lucky enough to have Paul as your guide/driver! He's extremely knowledgeable and passionate on the history of how San Fran/Sonoma came to be. Throughout the day he was very attentive and always made sure you were having a good time!

I loved our tour!!!!! Paul was our guide and he was knowledgeable, friendly, and a ton of fun. The food and wines were absolutely delicious, the trolley was beautiful, and the sights were stunning! Lunch was already included but they gave us gelato as well at the second winery. I highly recommend you take this tour if you want to enjoy Sonoma and make friends with a group of lovely people.

The Wine Trolley excursion was so fun and the best way to visit 4 wineries in one day, without driving! The trolley was comfortable and plenty of water was available. We made friends along the way and definitely would do it again!

We had an amazing time on the trolley ! Paul the tour guide took us to some great wineries and was very helpful and knowledgeable! My friend and I came on a girls trip and we recommend this to anyone wanting to tour wine country !

Had a great time on this tour. 4 diverse wineries ranging from large commercial wineries to small family places. Driver (Paul) was terrific and very friendly atmosphere on trolley. You learn about wine making and the history of the area. You get a lunch (nothing special) but can order additional food at several locations. With the tasting fees and gratuities, it’s not an inexpensive day but we all had a great time and found it to be a memorable, special day.

SUPER HELPFUL. My wife accidentally booked a tour for the wrong day, and the third party booking company was not willing to help us. We called the company directly and spoke to Mark, and he was able to get everything fixed for us with no problem! Great customer service, would highly recommend!

My husband and I recently visited Sonoma for our anniversary and I am sooo glad we did this wine trolley. First we went to some great wineries, but the best part was our guide Paul. He made the trip such an awesome experience. It's a great way to meet fun people while tasting different wines. The lunch was good too! I definitely recommend this tour for everyone!

We had a great time last Tuesday, 8/3 with Paul on the wine trolley! This was our first time to Sonoma, and while we enjoy wine, we came into Sonoma open to trying new options and learning more. Paul was fantastic - he was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We got to sample 3 wineries - a larger distributor, a medium and a smaller one. It was great to focus on the wine and not the drive! Note: the Trolley is open air, and while there are covered options in the trolley, make sure you wear sunscreen if you're on an outdoor seat! Booked the tour the night before, arrived 30 mins prior to check in time since it was our first time.

Paul pulled up to the designated area on time. We were checked of the list and boarded one group at a time. He offered to take pics for the guests, using our phones and cameras, I thought that was nice. There was a no show and another couple called, stated they were running a couple a bit late.

Paul was a great host, driver, with tons of fun facts, historical stories and info on the land, city and state.

The wine was fantastic, the lunch was such a huge bonus (gourmet and filling).

Finally, the ending was just overall amazing! I recommend the tour. We will be back with friends and family. It was better than expected. Thank you for making my wife's birthday a memorable success.

We chartered the trolley for a sightseeing tour and could not have been a better way to see Sonoma. So much fun.

We had a great time on the wine trolley. Paul, our driver/tour guide was informative and entertaining. The wineries were beautiful. The whole thing was a great experience. It was a great way to explore the beauty of Sonoma. Definitely recommend it!

My sisters and I had a blast! Paul was a great tour guide with a ton of information. The wineries were lovely- some better than others, but the tour and the company was fantastic. Highly recommend.

My husband and I had a great time!! Lexi was our guide and not only was she awesome but super knowledgeable about the area as well! She made our day and really knows how to bring a bus of strangers together! If we come back in the future we will 100% be requesting a tour with Lexi!!

Our only correction is not our guide by any means, but the bus itself needs some serious TLC. The loud sounds while driving and apparent need of repairs and an oil change left something to be desired.

What a fun day! Paul (our tour guide) was great! The trolley was comfortable and they had plenty of water for us. Take the trolley if you’re going out wine tasting, it was easy and painless! The price is reasonable too.

I decided to go on the Sonoma Wine Trolley for my birthday this past Saturday April 17th. I was pleasantly surprised that it exceeded my expectations! Paul, our driver was a hoot! Paul is witty and made the historical info about the area fun and interesting. The weather was warm and such a beautiful day. The "built in" AC provided by Paul's driving from winery to winery was welcomed :}. We visited 3 wineries and made an unexpected but very nice post lunch stop for a glass of wine. The gourmet lunch was at one of the wineries. The sandwiches were good, the potato salad even better and the gelato delightful. So, our group was a little bashful until after the 1st winery stop AND the ride back was WILD! Paul had the music rocking, we sang loudly along and got cheers and waves as we passed others on the road. I highly recommend this tour and hope you get LUCKY with Paul as your driver!

We can't recommend this tour enough! Our driver, Rich, gave us a great mix of facts, fun, and food recommendations. Each of the four wineries was unique, running the full spectrum from basic production to full bread and circuses. Our luncheon was delicious and nicely presented, even attending to special dietary needs. This tour would be a great start to a multi-day trip to wine country, and is an absolute must if you only have a day.

We visited Sonoma in Dec and the first day we did the Trolley Wine tour. It was a blast! The wineries we visited were very nice. Our driver, Paul, was great. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sonoma, especially if it is your first time.
