A WONDERFUL experience. Friendly helpful service, scenic natural views outdoors. Beautiful vineyards even in winter. Lovely long hiking trail around the property that took me 1.5 hours to walk including some stops for photos. Wine tastings and purchases support maintaining the trail/park/property which are free to enjoy! Great place to relax and get away from the downtown bustle.

Out of four days in wine country, this was our favorite tasting experience, very intimate and relaxing. Zach took such good care of us and the property is exquisite.

The gorgeous tasting room has such a warm and cozy ambiance that you will feel enchanted by the whole experience and certainly it will be unforgettable. Driving along vineyards, passing the Villa and admiring old oaks and eucalyptuses on the way to the tasting room will delicately prepare you to meet the estate grown Zinfandel, Press Release Red, Cabernet Sauvignon or Rosé of Zinfandel.
If you are here not for tasting but for walking or horse riding - don’t forget to book a table next time.

We celebrated our first wedding anniversary here and it was amazing! Rebecca and her team set up a special table for us with beautiful flowers. It was great! They really made us feel special, thank you so much for an unforgettable experience and celebration!

Bartholomew Winery is HANDS DOWN my favorite place in Sonoma, CA and Sonoma County. The gardens, the hiking, the dog-friendly staff, the wines and the people are really what makes this the most special place. You will feel as if you are SO LUCKY to be roaming around the beautiful paths, hike the wonderful trails and taste the more loved wines. Everytime I come to Bartholomew, I am so THANKFUL that the staff lets us sit in nature, in the grass, on the many park benches. The place is so well manicured but also so natural. Dear Bartholomew Staff and Frank Bartholomew, I have always wanted to Thank You for SHARING your beautiful property with my family, our dogs and our friends. You let us be... and for that I am so grateful. The hour after I put my love of my life, my dog, Gumbeaux down, I had no where I wanted to be but to be hiking through your trails and cry. I would take Gumbeaux there to summit and smile and I returned to our spot to watch a Hawk fly over me, and I knew it was him flying away. Thank you for all of the memories, thank you for opening up your land to the people, thank you for allowing us to be comforted in nature in your most precious spot on earth!

Wonderful experience in a very nice location. And we got more than what we paid for on the wine tasting venue. Thanks to Frank (park historian) who gave us the entire history of this winery!

An amazing winery to visit. Kit took care of us during out tasting and she was amazing. The wines of all types were very smooth and you can't go wrong with this place at all. Highly recommend a visit to this place.

A delightful spot with stunning vineyard views of Sonoma. The chilled rosé is tasty and the Syrah is scrumptious! Service and attention to detail is excellent.

Enjoyed some amazing & delicious wines from the fantastic and energetic Paul. The tasting was $15 and included 2017 Estate Sauvignon Blanc (amazing flavor, super crisp and fruit forward! Ended up getting a bottle!), 2014 Estate Zinfandel, 2014 Estate Syrah, 2014 Antonia Red Blend, 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon. Reserve updgmrgae for +$5 to taste the Reserve - Points Unknown GSM (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre blend). Paul was fantastic and we played a "game" of which wine is it?? And we guessed correct 😉 and got the reserve tasting included in our estate tasting!! Super fun and I will definitely be back to enjoy the new varietals! 💕

We've been here twice in the past month and will be back again. We like it for many reasons - first, we arrive as the gates open (10am) and do the hike from the north gate up and over the ridge lines with our dog back to the winery. The views are amazing, there's a small creek that runs about halfway through the hike (approx 3 miles total) and it's incredibly scenic. And dog friendly! The hike is moderately challenging, with steps and rocks - it's not a stroll in the park rather a proper hike. We bring a picnic to enjoy in the shade of one of the many oak trees on the property - there are lots of picnic benches. But first we walk up to the winery and buy a bottle of their excellent Sauvignon Blanc or Rose of Zinfandel which they keep chilled and for sale in the tasting room. They offer lots of tasting options as well. The folks are friendly, the wine is great and it's never seemed to be too crowded. It's in steady rotation now for a great Sonoma experience. Highly recommended!

A truly charming and beautiful place! The outdoor setting for the wine tasting is spectacular. After enjoying the tasting, we picnicked in the nearby meadow and went for a lovely stroll. Super dog friendly, too.

The tasting under the oaks here is an absolute must!! Favorite tasting of our wine adventure - stunning views. We scheduled the 4pm time slot so it was less crowded. Had a gorgeous table away from everyone else. Felt very intimate, could have stayed all night. Tasting was delicious. Best Sauv Blanc!! Please add Bart to your itinerary - impeccable in every way.

It was a very relaxing trip. The winery has nice outside sitting. The staff was very personable and people find time to talk to the guests. The property itself is beautiful, and the wine is great. The tasting is a little pricy, but it is like this at most wineries now. Bartholomew is definitely reccomended.

Bartholomew is not to be missed! A gorgeous historic estate that has been beautifully rehabilitated. Wines are fantastic, setting is stunning, staff are delightful. They have wonderful (stout) hiking trails. My partner and I enjoy trail running the trails followed by wine tasting on their oak knoll. It can’t be beat! A hidden gem in Sonoma Valley. When Napa is packed Bartholomew is the quiet getaway you want. Picturesque wine country at its best!

Bartholomew park is absolutely gorgeous. Perfect for a good stroll or a family picnic. Very much dog friendly. It has an amazing trail. To top it off their winery offers great wines at very reasonable prices. Picture perfect natural light plus splendid views.

Was so sad to learn that this winery was bought out and will be closing. It was our favorite stop on our wine tour. We stayed there after they had closed enjoying our wine in the parking lot. Our two servers were fun, friendly, and down-to-earth, sharing extra wines with us because he saw how much we enjoyed the wine tasting selections. $15 for 6 wines, can't beat it. Beautiful tasting room and grounds with picnic tables under large old trees. A memorable experience and worth the stop before October when the doors close.
