The staff was absolutely fantastic, so friendly and informative. You could see how passionate they are about the wines and the farming behind the wines. The wines were also stunning, I personally loved the 2016 Sonoma Valley Pinot Noir, but I was not disappointed with any of them. My recommendation, try to come around sunset, we lucked out and accidentally showed up around that time and were treated to a stunning view that took all my thoughts away except for wow.

My wife has been there many times and I was lucky enough to experience my first visit. The property was beautiful! Our guide Chris was great and we were able to meet Deepak! What an awesome experience! Can’t wait to go back!

I hardly leave reviews, but this was an amazing experience. We ended up here through Platypus tours. Debbie was our guide at Nicholson. She provided us such am engaging time and involved every person in the tour. She gave us all nick names and provided such a great education, primarily about the geology of the area and also about the history of the winery. I would highly recommend.

We came here close to closing. The gentleman who helped us was very kind offering insights into the types of wine Nicholson has available as well as food in the area to try. I haven’t been here during the day but friends of mine have. This place is perfect and the scenery is great during the day. We tried multiple wines, all of them were great. I highly recommend this place for a group or a small group of people.

If you want a really nice tasting experience,with a very nice service and conversation, this is the place. Not crowded, not fancy but very lovelly. I would liked some snacks to the menu. Other than that, an amazing experience.

Update: We have now been members for about two years. We continue to love Nicholson's. It's always a great experience every time we go, and we have brought several friends who also have really liked it.

We LOVE Nicholson Ranch. The property is very beautiful and really has that family-owned feeling. Perfect place to spend a couple hours sipping great wine and enjoying the views of the vineyard. Both their Chardonnays and their Pinot Noirs are great. They also have some Merlots and Syrahs. Everyone that works there is very friendly and knowledgeable. You can also get some snacks (e.g., cheese platter) or do a tour of the property

The Nicholson Ranch winery is a quaint little winery with beautiful grounds and a very knowledgeable staff. I loved the little greek chapel on the hill and beautiful little pond area for tastings. The patio and personal service was fantastic for our small group, they host large groups both inside and outside as well. The winery survived last year's fires, but the main house had been lost to the fire as was a portion of their vines. You could tell owner Deepak has a passion for wine and his staff are knowledgeable, patient, and entertaining. There is plenty of parking available, we had a great time here.

We had an exquisite time at Nicholson Ranch which included tours of the vineyard, the cave cellar, and the wine tasting room.

The wine tasting experience was wonderful with the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay being the best of the lot.

The location of the winery is excellent between Napa and Sonoma, and the views were breathtaking.

Would definitely want to visit here again and would recommend this place to travelers to wine country.

This place is a must if you are in Sonoma. The wine is fantastic(organic too)and the grounds are amazing. My wife and I had the best experience with Arthur on a cave tour. He was knowledgeable, funny and just an absolute joy. Thank you for such a great experience.

Very cool location. Very quiet and relaxing. Phenomenal service and great wine. Wine list is small, but worth it. Dana was the perfect host.

We were actually just driving by and noticed this beautiful winery on top of a hill between Napa and sanoma! The second we pulled in, we were greeted by Dana! Super sweet and awesome and helped us find what we were looking for. Went out of her way for us. Loved the service and the wine.

Lovely little winery a stone's throw away from Napa Valley, best known for it's Chardonnay which is to die for. Absolutely wonderful guide and beautiful landscapes. Highly recommend.

This was my 2nd visit to Nicholson Ranch, and it was even better than my first trip. Xander (sp?) was an amazing host, provided us great background into the day's tasting menu, and just a fun guy. Had a blast celebrating Mother's Day! Would highly recommend!

A delightful vineyard with delicious wines - a favourite spot.

Key greats are their Pinot Noirs and Chardonnay’s, but also that their whole sew toon is organically grown and to the highest standards.

For location, it’s away from commercial districts enough to be peaceful, but close enough to take advantage. Views over rolling hills and sun soaked vineyards are the perfect backdrop for sipping a bottle of white on a sunny afternoon.

Cave tour: personalized, friendly, knowledgeable and made to feel at home. We loved the small feel, great Pinot, views and great service!

Nicholson Ranch is one of those hidden gems where the wine is delicious and the people that work here are so nice. I've been here twice, once to photograph a group of friends visiting for a tasting and another time for an engagement session. The views are breathtaking and you can sit on the patio and enjoy your time together.
