Ridge Vineyards - Lytton Springs

Tasting by appointment. Wines were good value. The tasting experience was slow, but that is OK. A lot of education on the Ridge footprint and local options for food, bars or Olive Oil tastings. Only negative was that the food was limited to a refrigerated option which was Ala carte and a bit clunky.

The view at Ridge is incredible! You get to look out at acres of grape vines, rolling hills, and blue skies. When we went, there were two tastings of four pours. Dave served us and provided a ton of history about the winery. He even showed us maps of where the different grapes are grown. On the side of the main building you can see some of their barrels and wine operation. Outdoor seating is very cozy and everyone is friendly. Awesome winery for a tasting!

Ridge Vineyard is a wonderful place to visit. They have the best Chardonnay and diverse red wine collections. I had my first cup of Syrah wine, amazingly rich! Very worthy to do a tasting.

This place was fantastic. The grounds are stunning and the service is so nice and helpful. It didn't matter of you were a wine buyer for a corporation or, like me, just trying to taste some good wines everyone got the same amount of time discussing the wines. Despite not being a red wine guy myself, all of these wines delivered. Especially the 2015 Monte Bello, which is a stunner. Shout out to Denise who helped us out today and was ultra accommodating.

Absolutely fantastic visit! We are members of Ridge but since I was up here, I scheduled a tasting with my three girlfriends. The seating on the patio was lovely with lots of vineyards around us. We were well taken care of with some crostini along with our tasting and we learned about sustainability at Lytton Springs! There was even a Tesla charger in the parking lot - I will be back!

Beautiful location. Enjoyed the tasting. Lots of history and information. We enjoyed the zin and syrah best. The monte bello tasting is special, nice way to end our time there.

Denise was amazing! We were given a tour of the cellars, which were beautiful. The assemblage of Zinfandel, Petite Syrah and Caragnane was tasty. The bites were delicious.

A nice drive to get there and very nice visit.
On a quiet Sunday morning they took their time.
They drove us around 100 year old wines, explaining, telling anecdotes and sitting down for the tasting. Mixing different grapes, local tradition, experience and experiments.
It's very appealing that they evolve around what they have and make the best from that.
Here wine tasting makes sense...the wines have different characters.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, great selection, and beautiful views. Recommend making a reservation before you go. It was busy on a Wednesday afternoon and they had to fit us in.
The Estate Chardonnay was delicious.

Fantastic tour. Unique, interesting vineyard. Josh was amazing and the wine was excellent. Plus, a very good pupper was hanging out in the parking lot.

Beautiful outdoor tasting area with sweeping views of the vineyard. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, plus great wine.

We had Lori guiding our tasting and she explained the science of wine a lot, and it was so educational and fun. The wine is excellent too— our favorite of the 4 vineyards we visited this trip! Also very dog friendly!

David Wark was our Century Tour guide and he was fantastic. The vibe of this organic winery is superb. The wines are delicious!

Amazing wines and extremely friendly and passionate host. I accidentally went to Ridge Vineyards at Lytton Springs instead of the Ridge at Monte Bello where I had booked a tour. The host at Lytton Spring was so friendly to sort it out for us and offered us a tasting at Lytton Springs instead. There were two wine tasting options: $10 for 4 wines ($20 incl the famous Monte Bello) and $15 for the Estate wine ($25 incl Monte Bello).

Our Australian/American host was so knowledgeable and really made it a fun experience for us. The estate wines are phenomenal and I would definitely recommend anyone to try the Monte Bello as well.

We had an experience at this place. $35 tour and cheese pairing wine tasting. Around 2h the whole experience, with a really nice guy. Mostly for red wine lovers 🍷great Zinfandel

A classic for good reason. We had a top-notch tasting in a beautiful, intimate setting, and our hostess graciously sat with us for great conversation about winemaking and trends. Overall it was a special night with superb wine.

Our host Greg was the BEST and the wines that we tasted were some of the best we've had in Sonoma. Great views of the vineyard and good value. Will definitely return at my first opportunity.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience visiting this vineyard. Bob and Elliott were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and there wasn't a single wine we didn't like! The location is beyond beautiful, and our hosts told us about so much about the history of the vineyard and the wine-making process - so fascinating!! Highly recommend visiting this vineyard, and we'll definitely be back if visiting this area again!
