The property has an outdoor breakfast area with a pit to make s'mores or just hang out. Nice sized pool. Love how lively the garden is, full of blooming flowers.

The cottages are comfortable, nicely decorated and well equipped. The setting is within the redwood trees and the grounds and garden add to the enjoyment of the stay. This is a wonderful place to relax. The proprietors are responsive and provide useful information on restaurants, sites and wineries. The location is ideal as it is a short walk to Main Street - the center of town. I visit a few times each year and always have a great experience.

A magical place to stay. Jenny and Sherman, the owners; are wonderful and made our stay so special. Jenny is very knowledgeable with the area and made great recommendations for wineries and places to eat. We stayed in a dog friendly cottage and it was perfect for our dog. We will be going back again and again to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of Fern Grove Cottages.

This is a lovely setting on the Russian River. The common area is perfect for small or medium sized groups to relax, share meals, or play games. Easy walk into town for restaurants or shopping. The rooms are cozy and clean, and wifi worked well throughout the property.

The staff really make the difference. Everyone is committed to the customer having an awesome experience. There happy to offer an extra pastry with the included breakfast, or offer suggestions for things to see and do in the area.

Highly recommended, and would certainly come here again.

My son and I rented the 2 bedroom cottage with kitchen and fireplace. Can’t say enough good things! It was clean and cozy! The beds were comfy, too. The owners were lovely and helpful. Their breakfast was delicious! We stayed for three days at Christmas - so the town was quiet but there are plenty of good restaurants in the area and lots of great places to hike both in the redwoods and on the coast!

Had a fantastic stay at Fern Grove Cottages. It’s right off of the main road and a quick walk to the main part of town. Despite the proximity to everything in Guernville, it was also very peaceful. I stayed in one of the studio cottages which was equipped with a small fridge, microwave, and sink. It was perfect for a solo traveller but a couple may have felt but tight in the space. Every morning, complementary breakfast was provided in this wonderful outdoor seating area. Throughout my stay, the owner was incredibly helpful. Armstrong Redwoods State Nature Reserve was still closed when I visited (due to the fire in 2020) but I was provided with a map with other local trails to check out by the owner. The property is dog friendly but you have to call to reserve a dog friendly dog cottage. Dogs are allowed in the outdoor seating area but not the pool. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend Fern Grove Cottages for anyone looking for a place to stay in Guernville.

We usually stay on the other side of the Guerneville downtown strip but decided to stay here to be within walking distance. It was a great experience overall. We truly liked going with the 1 bedroom, living room and fireplace combo. So cozy sitting near that fire with a glass of wine (or tea if you prefer). If it's warm, take advantage of the seats they have outside and try some astrophotography 🙂.

It's a 7 minute walk to downtown and the nearby Safeway. So you can go to various restaurants, cafés and bars before strolling back to you comfy bed. Just be sure to give the shower ample time to get hot in the morning. Oh, and the artwork in the garden/breakfast area is pretty neat too.

My husband and I had such a lovely long weekend away at Fern Grove Cottages. We live in SF and were escaping our kids so that we could have a quiet, romantic weekend to ourselves. Jenny, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. She shared suggestions on things to do in the area, places to eat, and told us about the latest happenings in Guerneville. We rented a 1 bedroom with living room, which was great for having a separate sitting area. We also spent a lot of the weekend just sitting outside, since each cottage has a pair of outdoor seats. We loved having Jenny's homemade breakfast al fresco in their outdoor patio area. All around, it was a very relaxing visit and we really enjoyed Jenny's warm hospitality. We hope to come visit again!

We enjoyed our time at Fern Grove Cottages. We rode the cruiser bicycles provided by the property. Around town of Guernerville. I really like view of tall trees and a wonderful variety of plant life. Cottages are cozy.
We hung out a few times in the Garden patio area. Beautiful bar style long tables with bar stool back rests.
Gas fire pit.
We took advantage of the choice of BBQ briquettes or gas grill . we used the 4 burner gas grill. Nice atmosphere.

Such a lovely and charming place! The owners are very accommodating and the grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed the salt water pool daily. Don’t miss the grilling area! The owners will help get you set up with everything you need to grill yourself a meal including fresh herbs from the garden (except the food itself). Although the cabins are not modern, they are adequate and comfortable.

This place has exceeded my expectations. I knew it was going to be nice and clean, but I wasn't expecting it to be so cozy and friendly. The owners are awesome this place is dog friendly as well which is a great feature. The cabin was spotless. There's a small kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, and sink. A DVD player is included and there are a ton of movies in the office. There are also some games to choose from, which is a great feature. Our cabin (#3) has a wood burning fireplace which was so cozy on our rainy night. The grounds were also spotless ad the pool was clean. Breakfast was included and well supplied. Great place!

Beautiful landscaping, adorable cottages. A wonderful stay for a weekend away for 2. We will absolutely be coming back the next time we want to play on the river. Parking is a little tight, but we only had 1 compact car so we managed. Very clean rooms. Cozy fireplace. And skylights in the small living room and kitchenette to look up at the sky and redwood trees. A wonderful stay for a reasonable price. Walking distance from the bars, shops, and restaurants.

Quaint cottages tucked beneath the redwoods and surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens bursting with colorful flowers. Inn keepers were very friendly and helpful. Basic breakfast served on a well appointed outdoor patio, which also boasts a fire pit for evening socializing. Pool was perfection! Will definitely be back!

Very nicely furnished some of the units have fireplaces Jenny the proprietary goes beyond her duties to make sure everything is great for your entire stay at her establishment. I highly recommend the Fern Grove Inn

I went to Ferngrove for a vacation getaway with my girlfriend and could not have been happier. The surrounding setting is gorgeous, but the place itself is the icing on top - fireplace for romantic evenings, regular wine tasting inside, comfortable beds, and a new owner, Jenny, who is willing to bend over backwards for all of her guests. We will definitely be staying here next time we are in the area.

Jenny was a fantastic host, the pool was perfect, the morning brunch was delicious. The homemade granola is excellent. Thank you for helping us celebrate our 4/24 Anniversary with the Korbel bubbly!

We stay here every time we go to Guerneville. I love the cozy cottages, and the little touches are so sweet. Housekeeping does these origami masterpieces with the towels! The grounds are so green and overflowing with interesting flowers etc. So sweet.

The Fern Grove Cottages are lovely! It's very peaceful with a pool and long courtyard in the middle of all the cottages. The staff is amazingly friendly and they host of fire in the courtyard every night with s'mores! The rooms come with organic body products and a continental breakfast with organic coffee. The best deal in Guerneville!

I try to go here on my anniversary every year. Love the Russian river and Fern Grove is part of that. The slow down and pause to enjoy the little things kind of life is alive and well at Fern Grove. The breakfast is amazing!

My partner and I was very pleased with the service and the room. I would for certain stay again. Might be a small town but they know how to treat you right. Very gay friendly. Was one of the next experience we ever have had.
