I don’t understand how there are so many bad reviews. Most people must not understand how to use a website. I was able to get Kaiser health coverage (gold plan) for me and my son for $418 a month. It was relatively easy. I did have to call a couple times and the wait was a little long. But I understand how busy they must be. And when I did get Someone they were very knowledgeable. They even helped me get my coverage early due to my son moving in with me full time. So far I’m pretty pleased with the service I got. Keep up the good work!

I actually needed to do an appeal at one point to clear up a termination date. They called me a few days after my submission, explained what was going on in a way I could understand, and then tried to help me as best they could. Her name was Monique, and she was miles above what I expected. I really appreciated them and was so glad I ended up talking with this particular agent.

I have been with Blue Shield through Covered California for the passed 3 years and the system is very easy to navigate and customer service people are very helpful. There was no call where they were rude or condescending throughout numerous calls when I made. There were instances when there was a mistake in application and their customer service were literally on the phone with me for an hour and helped me guide through all concerns.

I dont know why people complain so much about the website, its really simple, and easy to navigate. Maybe people need to learn how to use technology and stop blaming everyone else for your ignorance. Ive had great customer service from the agents at CCA, they explain things really well and are very professional. People need to stop complaining about how long the process takes, For christs sake youre getting help from the government, be grateful youre getting help at all. Some people dont even qualify for CoveredCa. And maybe some of the reps don’t want to talk to some of you because of how rude you can be, just saying.

This review is for Cheryl B.P. at Kaiser. She should be a manager doing training for all of Covered California, not just the Kaiser people. She is amazing -- head and shoulders above any of the roughly dozen people I talked to while trying to enroll in Covered California. She completely enrolled me in roughly ten minutes, while I had spent roughly 30 hours interacting with other people and the website trying to achieve the same result. I don't know how much she is being paid, but it is nowhere near enough.

I will gratefully begin my 3rd year on CoveredCA in 2018. I have been super impressed with the efficiency, user-friendly web interface, and knowledgeable and cheerful staff responsiveness of this huge social service entity. Given what we know must be a bureaucratic beast necessary to handle the millions of Californians using it, CoveredCA has managed to work, and work extremely well for me and my family. Integrating specifics of the medical marketplace with the federal government supplements tailored to my personal situation is nothing short of remarkable. Compared to other such beasts like AT&T or Comcast, that make you cry and swear every time you have to contact them, CoveredCA is godsend! If other states could only implement Obamacare with such elegance...

I was able to hopscotch the automated service and reached a customer rep (just press 1 for more details to get to a rep, and hang in there). They were helpful and answered my questions. Review will be updated as things progress.

I want to acknowledge Cheryl (sorry if that isn't the right spelling) at Covered CA for assisting me in a snafu involving a credit card which nearly caused me to lose my health insurance. She listened carefully, immediately understood my situation and got on the phone with Kaiser to remedy the problem. She couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. What a relief! Thank you Cheryl, you rock!

Very friendly and professional on the phone. I had issues using the website, so I called the 800 number on a couple of occasions and always had a pleasant interaction with the staff.

I cant say enough good things about Estephany, she has helped me through alot of problems, this company is very fortunate to have an employee as hard working as she is, shes amazing.

My case worker came to my rescue when I had eye issues. Pushed my case forward so I could be taken care by a specialist.

I’ve always found the customer service # to be very helpful and never had to wait long to get through.
