Church of Scientology Mission of Moorpark

My husband and I discovered this Mission a couple of years ago, and have done several interesting courses there. We have found these courses to be very helpful both in our work lives and interpersonal relationships. The location is very convenient - just off the Collins exit right off the 118 near the 23 junction - actually right close to Moorpark College. The people who work there have always been very welcoming and boy, they really know how to help! I highly recommend them if you are looking to improve any aspects of your life.

I have done several courses here resulting in noticeable improvements in my life. The atmosphere is very nice and Jane and Forrest are great people! I would definitely recommend The Mission of Moorpark to anyone that wants to improve the condition of any aspect of their lives!

This is a very nice place located right here on the border of Moorpark and Simi. It's easy to get to - located in the shopping center right off the freeway on the way to Moorpark College (Collins Dr.)
My husband and I did a seminar there called Personal Efficiency which was fabulous. It was only 2.5 hours, but we both learned a lot about how to improve our work life. I have actually found myself using that information again and again on a daily basis. Probably the most helpful 2.5 hours I've spent learning something!
I've since studied a small course on Parenting, Marriage and another regarding how to handle and manage personal finances. They were all extremely helpful and not difficult to study.
I'm very happy the Church of Scientology has this local branch here!

This is an amazing place to learn very useful tools for life. I have taken several of the introductory courses here which have greatly increased my ability to handle any problems relating to business, relationships, and life. The staff that works here, is by far the most caring and loving people you will ever meet. I highly recommend checking them out for yourself.

I stumbled across this place several years ago and have experienced nothing but continuous self-improvement from a personal and business perspective since. It's essentially a library of the Scientology books. The staff are gracious and have no agenda but to help you with whatever you're looking for. I've been surprised with how much value I've gained studying here - productivity training, help when relationships got rocky, spiritual betterment etc. All simple and effective solutions for peanuts compared to alternative methods such as pricey business courses and traditional therapy. If you've heard rumors (which you have), don't believe the hype. They've probably never stepped foot in a Scientology building and certainly haven't touched a book. At 26 years old I'm thriving and doing better than ever and these guys deserve some credit for that.

I have been taking courses at the mission for several years now. The staff are so very caring and helpful and the knowledge I have gained to help with handling day-to day challenges has been invaluable!

I wasn't sure quite what to expect. When I came through the door I found the staff here incredibly welcoming. The decor and service were also very nice, so I would definitely recommend coming by here to find out about it.

The staff at this mission are super nice. Always there to help you get the most of anything you are studying.

Scientology is the BEST thing to happen to this planet.

I do not recommend this place for spiritual, personal, or professional growth. Former members of the Church of Scientology have made allegations of physical and emotional abuse within the Church. These claims include forced labor, isolation, and harsh disciplinary measures. The Church has been accused of engaging in financial exploitation, with high fees for courses and services. Critics argue that this puts financial strain on members and their families. The Church is known for aggressively pursuing legal action against critics and ex-members. This has led to concerns about freedom of speech and the ability to openly discuss concerns about the organization. Critics claim that the Church suppresses dissent and criticism, using tactics such as disconnection, where members are encouraged to cut ties with friends or family who are critical of Scientology. At the end of the day, you are walking into the doors of a money scheme that will destroy you emotionally and separate you from those you love.

I found the sign outside to be very suppressive. The inside smelled like someone was giving out freewinds, if you know what I mean. When I refused to give them money, they got very reactive, which felt a little hypocritical. I know most organized religions look down on being friends with people who cause problems, but I just can't quit Xenu. Sorry, would've given two stars if I could have met Tom Cruise.
