This place and their employees are fantastic! Purchased 2 firearms from them and looking for another. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Joe, Terry, Troy, Mark.. They make it too easy to spend money over there.. LOL thanks everyone!

Mike is a great manager. As is the young woman behind the counter in Archery - Equestrian, Competitive Mountain Bike Rider, and back country guide, color me impressed.

Jim is also a great manager across S. Boulder Rd., and Rick in OPE is very helpful. If you want to stay local I highly recommend you shop here.

Finally, Bill in cycling is a great mechanic...Now, please save a steel Fat Tire Mountain Bike for my next visit!

They have real Polish Pottery here! (2023) The handmade pottery that’s made in Poland. It’s authentic $$ not cheap. Ceramika Boleslawiec Kalich. Unikat.

It's impressive to find a store this well stocked with such a knowledgeable and helpful staff. I'm extremely impressed. Service is exceptional and the staff is well-trained which is not what you'll find in some of the other big box outdoor stores today. And this store has inventory the shelves are well stocked which is impressive I was able to find what I needed for fishing and some hunting items I didn't think I needed but of course had to have.

A very diverse collection of outdoor gear for sale. Like a mini REI but with a local flavor. Many Colorado produced goods in this store. All high-quality goods. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. The goods are at a premium but they are not cheaply made Chinese goods. One can buy propane here too.

The staff here are very helpful and friendly. Mike is very professional and helped me find the right shoes I was looking for!

Went to both. Farm & Ranch for a feed scoop. Then to Jax Outdoor for a new pair of sunglasses. Always find what I need at both places

I forget how great Jax is when I haven't been in awhile. I went today to find Hemlock hats for a beach trip. Bailey was fantastic and went into their upstairs warehouse and brought two boxes down until I found the two designs I wanted. Super appreciated her going the extra mile to find the summer gear in storage in the middle of winter. And I also got some great other deals I wasn't planning on. Thanks again Bailey. You made my day.

Rick went above and beyond helping to track down an obscure derailleur hangar for me. No charge. No expectations. Just help finding the right part. I will definitely be back for service in the future.

I am a big fan of the bike shop. I am really hard on my mountain bike and the bike techs always find away to put it back together. Not to mention the prices for the services are really good. Keep up the good work guys!

Just went in for new trail-running shoes and had a great experience. After having a bad experience at a different running shoe-specific store, I was hesitant, but not only was the staff incredibly helpful (thank you Gavin), but they had my size in all the pairs I wanted to try on - and one of them was on sale! I was in and out in 20 minutes, and it only took that long because I was looking at their other great outdoor gear! They carry a lot of the same type gear/clothing as REI, but less pretentious and just better!

Wonderful store. Great selection for everything. We'll organized with very creative displays. The employees are very helpful and knowledgeable.

We came today for a new bow for my son. We were very impressed with the archery department. There was a much bigger selection than the larger chain stores we had previously visited. Staff was awesome! They took their time and answered all our questions, never aggressively trying to upsell us. Great experience.

Excellent experience. The woman in the shoe department was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I was looking for a pair of comfortable hiking boots, and she helped me find a perfect fit. Great customer service, nice selection and competitive prices. Highly recommended.

Everyone in the bike shop was super helpful. I went in to put fenders in my bike thinking it would be a quick and easy process, but it turned out to be a bit more difficult than expected. The mechanics worked hard to install them as best and quick as they could. I'm very grateful for their help. Thanks guys!!

Still the best store Colorado has to offer. When they say outdoor gear, they mean it. Has more relevant gear than Cabela's, and more options than REI. Plus the employees are the friendliest and most knowledge of any retail store I've been to. Been going there 10 years and still the best.

Everyone is super nice. Especially Troy in the sporting goods department, he's been super knowledgeable and kind and has made amazing recommendations that we've not regretted. Store products are quality and reasonably priced as well.

Awesome store, a must stop if in Lafayette or Boulder. Staff is incredibly helpful and kind. Especially the guys in the bike shop answered all my questions, and help me find the perfect bike. Awesome store and awesome people!!!
