When establishing myself as a consultant, I felt fortunate to have the healthcare exchange. Have moved to another state, Republican. The exchange is horrible there and was charging 3x what Washington was. Be very happy that you have affordable healthcare. The republicans claim it does not work, as it is in republican states that seek to destroy it. Be thankful that you live in Washington State! The first year, had to change providers Virginia Mason to Swedish. Second year, was able to move back to Virginia Mason and still at affordable rates.

I'm 58 years old just trying to get a physical exam . I just got another message my doctor is no longer at the office. Iv been trying to get a doctor for over a year . This is the 3rd time now. Guess I will be calling tomorrow and hope I don't have to wait another 3 months .. I'm not feeling great and this just makes my stress worse and worse .it took me 2 or 3 hours on the phone to get this last appointment and finally get a doctor . only to be let down again . I think the system is in need of major repair .

The employees are awesome but when I signed up I was backdated even though the website FAQ said if I sign up after the 15th I would be covered the following month. Unfortunately that policy was overlooked and I was sent a bill for a little under $500 from Molina. I did not budget for that amount. Unfortunately this mistake will cause me to be late for my scheduled prescription. In addition, this may result in my body unable to tolerate this medicine. I am now waiting for both the Healthcare Exchange and Molina to allow my insurance to start In October if they deem it necessary to work with my request. I am frustrated, nervous and upset. The first and foremost concern is getting my medicine on time through the preauthorization process. The second, being charged for 15 days that had all ready passed. Third, making a responsible decision and waiting until I could afford this insurance. I am on a fixed income that leaves very little for wiggle room. I am thankful for having a tax credit yet this is fast becoming a stress I should have been able to avoid.

Washington Health Benefit Exchange (WAHBEX) is not an employer of choice. The public needs to understand when you apply for employment with WAHBEX, be prepared to face a lack of transparency, and integrity with their recruitment process.

I had interviewed for their Compliance Manager position, and one other management position. After three interviews, I was left hanging bucket empty with no opportunity, and no hope for advancement. Their Human Resources representative could not even schedule my virtual interview correctly on the appropriate date. I was notified at one point in the interview process that I did not get the management position, but their Human Resources shared the hiring manager for their Compliance Manager had been inquiring about my references for her vacancy.

After two interviews over a three-week period, multiple emails with their Human Resources, the second week waiting it was clear WAHBEX was playing games. I had contacted my reference on the application, and they informed me they had not received any calls or emails from WAHBEX. At this point, I completely withdrew from the process, disappointed by their operations, and felt “played”.

Bottom line – if you have any leadership background, clinical background, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere than WAHBEX. Position yourself as someone who does have integrity regarding your career.

Unfortunately I cannot give "zero" stars as this organization doesn't even deserve one. I have had an absolute nightmare in renewing coverage for my daughter. They took her off the existing coverage that I have with the family and put her on a state funded program. This was done without my consent and has caused a multitude of problems. The only way to reach this organization is through the "Washington Health Plan Finder" which is basically a call center with locations throughout the US, including Kansas and Florida which I have spoke with. The staff at these call centers are poorly trained, giving out incorrect information and directions constantly and confirming your coverage (both via the phone, mail and e-mail) that you end up not having.

The entire system is broken and nobody seems to care about fixing it. A good place to start, since this is an operational problem would be to fire and replace the CEO and COO. Of course the management cannot be given a chance to rectify problems as they hid behind their call centers and there is no way to contact upper management short of physically visiting their office in Olympia. I am sure that they have helped people that cannot afford health care but for those who can but get their health care dictated to by the State of Washington ( I could not continue coverage through my own small business due to state rules that are constantly changed) the system is a complete disaster.

Like so many others, I have found this organization to be impossible to deal with. Over the last two years I have yet to have an issue fixed. Every time that I have faced a problem, of which there have been many, the provider and this organization kick it back and forth between themselves with me sitting on an endless on hold loop. Both sides claim that they cannot make changes and nothing is ever resolved. This organization is completely ineffective and should not exist.
