Deschutes River Dentistry

This was hands down the BEST DENTAL EXPERIENCE I have ever had. I have SEVERE dental anxiety and I was really scared to see a new dentist after moving to a new area. 2023 was especially rough with grief and loss and heartache. I didn’t care well for myself and I felt the impact of that and felt shame about my oral health. This office was fabulous. They were welcoming, kind, compassionate, gentle, nonjudgmental - and had my best interest at heart at all moments. From the sweet pups in the office to the massaging chair to the fun music and truly loving, fun atmosphere - the joy and relief in this visit made me cry. I felt so seen and accepted and cared for - in the best possible ways. They have a patient for life and a new raving fan.

Every time I come here, I think it can’t get any better and it always does. This office is wonderful. I hope to use them forever! Everyone is incredibly welcoming and kind. The office atmosphere is very comfortable and Dr. Edwards is so personable and funny, making you relaxed for what I find to usually be a stressful appointment. Did I mention they have office doggies to keep you at ease? I literally can’t say enough good things about Deschutes River Dentistry! Thank you Dr. Edwards and Angelia for fixing me up today.

Exceptional Dental Care Experience

My family and I recently visited Deschutes River Dentistry, and we couldn't have been more impressed with the exceptional care we received. From start to finish, our experience was outstanding.

Upon entering the office, we were warmly greeted by Tammy and Jodee at the front desk, who provided us with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The office itself is vibrant, eclectic, and fun, reflecting a space where patients of all ages feel at home, with reclaimed wood, handpicked antique pieces, and lively music contributing to its inviting atmosphere.

Andrew (Dr. Edwards) and the entire team, including Suzie and Copper (the charming dental assistant dog), demonstrated professionalism and expertise throughout our visit. They took the time to explain each step of the process thoroughly and answered all of our questions with patience and clarity. Suzie and Copper were especially wonderful with our daughters, making them feel comfortable and at ease during their appointments.

Moreover, we were impressed by the dedication to comfort and convenience. The appointments were conducted efficiently, and we appreciated the efforts made to ensure our comfort during the procedures. The entire experience was virtually pain-free, thanks to their gentle approach and skilled techniques.

Overall, we couldn't be more satisfied with the level of care we received at Deschutes River Dentistry. From the moment we entered the office to the moment we left, we felt valued as patients. We highly recommend this practice to anyone seeking top-notch dental care in the Tumwater area. I absolutely love this dental office. It’s warm and inviting and the staff are wonderful. Dr. Edward’s and his team are fantastic. The doggies around the office is definitely a bonus. I’d recommend them to anyone!

I had a great experience today at Deschutes River Dentistry. They were excellent, very patient and understanding in handling my minor anxiety. I loved getting a visit by the office pup and they even covered me in a blanket (very comforting!). So glad I chose this office.

I was full of anxiety leading up to my appointment. That was before I got there. From the moment I entered the lobby I was greeted by friendly, experienced, professional staff. The dental assistant and Dr. Edwards were fabulous. They listened, they explained every step of what they would be doing, they were gentle, and it was a good experience.

The whole team is fantastic: friendly, competent, funny and very detailed at each step. I never feel like I'm being rushed or pushed through an assembly line. Truly, the best dental care I've ever experienced!

This is the friendliest dental office I’ve ever been in. They bend over backwards to make sure that you are comfortable and happy. Everyone is so friendly and nice, and the hygienist that did the cleaning of my teeth was very professional and did the best job I have ever had.

Amazed at both the service and how they conducted themselves, haven't seen a dentist in 10 years. Both the dentist and staff were very chill and personable. Easy to talk to, relate to and trust. Not only do they care but they explain every step of the way from what you are looking at via the x-rays to what to expect and they answer any and all questions you may have. Something I never thought I‘d say in my life - since finding Deschutes River Dentistry I love going to the dentist. There are many reasons but the most important ones to me are that everyone is welcoming, they play fun music to help keep you relaxed and they have an office dog who will come up to you to get pets and help you stay calm. And the chairs massage you while you lay down.

Nicole does an amazing job at making you feel comfortable, explaining what’s happening and of course the actual cleaning/dental work as well. I look forward to my appointments every time.

Extremely personable, knowledgeable and knows how to put his patients at ease while providing excellent dental care. I've been coming to Deschutes River for about five years. It's simply the best dentist's office I've ever received care from. My hygienist is an amazing person and incredibly good at what she does. Every service, every visit, and every phone call is stellar. I love this place!

I have been going to Deschutes for a number of years now. Dr Edwards and the staff are absolutely wonderful. I work with Nicole every six months and always have a great experience. They ensure I am comfortable and give their attentive time regarding how my teeth are. Every time, I leave with clean teeth and an appointment on the books for next time. I refuse to join my husband’s dentistry. I tell him it’s a must that he join me at Deschutes if we are to go to the same place.

I am a huge baby when it comes to dental work. EVERYTHING associated with this office was a positive experience including the office decor, the explanation and exam by the dentist, the process to numb me, and the cleaning. I was at ease the entire time. An anxiety-free dental appointment is a welcomed change.

Very welcoming understanding . There was no judgment and I cried my whole appointment . Haha It was early I was nervous but they made sure I was comfortable and left tear free and with an achievable plan. When you see a dog after being there for 5 minutes you know you’ve found the people !
