McCaffrey's Food Market - Newtown

Always our favorite supermarket for quality, freshness, and the people. The other day my wife lost her credit card and thought it might be at the store. "June", from Customer Service, went above any beyond in her efforts to recover the card. A locally owned supermarket is a rare thing these days, this one is a treasure.

Loved this store, wa upset that moved away from Wholefoods, but here you can find anything that can get from Wholefoods. High quality food with fair enough price. Very clean and quiet store with lots of good stuff in it. Will definitely come back here again and again. Fresh food was delicious 😋 sushi and Asian foods also super fresh and taste. So guys you gotta come here to get your produces

when my doctors gave me a bunch of food restrictions for all my health issues recently, I became incredibly overwhelmed.

I’ve always had such a terrible relationship with food and knowing that I now have to be careful with everything I eat was much more than I was prepared to handle. I felt like my “can eat foods” list was so small and I had no idea where to even start.

As always, I decided to keep it local and decided to bring in an expert into the mix! I reached out to McCaffrey’s Markets and ended up going on a food shopping trip at their Newtown market with their nutritionist, Jill.

We spent time going up and down isles trying to find healthy items that fit in with my restrictions. What seemed to be such a daunting process on my own was so much easier with Jill’s help! I ended up leaving with a cart full of things that I didn’t even know I could eat!

Jill is a licensed nutritionist, registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator. She offers:

Expensive is worth it. Would you rather pay $5.00 for something average or $9.00 for the above average. At McCaffrey's you'll either have to think about that question or not worry about the register amount. The store is merchandised well. The fruits and veggies have a great assortment and are usually really fresh. There are bakery, butcher, breads, seafood and cold cut counters. The store also has a good assortment of both hot and take home ready to eat meals. I find when I am looking for better choices of veggies, proteins, and fruit that McCaffrey's stands out. On staple products their prices might be a bit high for something you can get elsewhere. I can't forget the store is well staffed with friendly and attentive mcCaffrians. I give this super supermarket 5 stars for the overall positive boxes they check

My wife and I had issues finding fresh organic fruits and vegetables, coffee creamer, etc at other local grocery stores. We decided to give McCaffreys a try and have been extremely pleased. All of their food is fresh, high quality. Also, the associates are kind, eager to help, and take pride in their work. Highly recommend!

Excellent store. This is an excellent store. I live much closer to the Yardley store but I choose to go to the Newtown location. It is extremely clean and bright. The aisles are well stocked and easy to navigate. The prepared food section is excellent and has many more options. The associates that work in the prepared food section are extremely helpful and have always greeted me when I was looking in their sections.
The one consistent thing about both stores though is their cashiers. They are excellent. I have never had a bad experience at either store. I have just found the Newtown store to have more options.

This is the most wonderful grocery store I have ever been to!! Clean, organized, well stocked with an enormous variety of items, plus some I can't find in other grocery stores! Fantastic selection of brands, and everything is always fresh from meats, poultry, seafood to produce and the employees very friendly! Keep up the great work and THANK YOU!!!! I love this store! I do insta cart sometimes and the employees are always willing to help if I have a question. Always a clean store and I love their food. The pre made salad looks small im telling you think they cram a whole bag of spinach in each one. We both could eat some and have leftover.

I am very impressed with Mccaffreys bakery!! I gave up on whole foods market, as their quality went way down!!! The bakery here is soooo good!!! The cupcakes 🧁 with buttercream frosting are 😋 yummy!! They absolutely stuff their strawberry short 🍓 cake with 🍓 🍰 🍓 strawberries!!! You must try this wonderful 😊 bakery!!

Love McCaffrey's! Excellent quality foods and completely customer service oriented! Everyone that works there is friendly and helpful! They also make it super easy to get in and out, as they always have a full complement of checkers. Much nicer than any other area supermarket!

This is by far the best supermarket in the area. There isn't even a close second. Their produce is always the freshest, the butcher department is amazing, and the Deli product is as good as it gets in a supermarket. Well run, always clean, very courteous people working there. Price is very fair for the high quality.

I'm so thankful for the senior hours - after being away for awhile I needed to buy a lot of groceries. I got to the store at 6 am this morning & was so pleased with the amount of items that were available & how fresh everything was! Big thank you to all of the employees in the Newtown store as well as the management & owner - keep up the great work!

Best place in the area for gourmet groceries. Similar to Whole Foods, they have an excellent hot food bar. Their fries and wings are delicious and I usually buy myself a sandwich during lunchtime. My son likes the pizza. One of the highlights is the cheese selection- they have many hard to find cheeses and the cheesemonger gives excellent recommendations. Next to the cheese section is the wall of lox. I have been trying all of the different types of lox. The fish is great too- I can never find halibut at the other local grocery stores. The prices are higher than the other grocery stores in the area, but the service is better. One time, a cashier went and got a cheese for me when I couldn't find it. Basically, if I can't find it here, I have to buy it online.

Always happy to help you with any problem. They be a higher than nearby supermarket but the quality is far superior that it is worth the cost. They are the only place that carries Boars Head meats but I prefer the store band.

Great products..prices are a little high, due to the clientele they service I would imagine..I really come for the excellent coffee this place offers

a couple of weeks ago I needed a lunch meat tray in a couple of hours and i called to see if it was possible if not I was going to do it myself. When I explained what I needed they said no problem and made a up a beautiful tray. It's one more reason I love shopping at McCaffrey's

Most organic items we can find in the store. The employees are professional and helpful in the store. McCafferty's bakes the best pie and bread. The in-store coffee is delicious. Nice to order a cup as we stroll through the store shopping.

All McCaffrey's are spotless and well-stocked. Very competitive prices considering it is a high-end store.

Produce is fresh (my biggest concern), friendly service (always guided in choosing cheese and fish), and they have a ready-to-eat food/cafe section that serves delicious options for lunch/dinner.

McCaffreys bakers made my Daughters Sweet 16 Birthday cake this weekend. Just want to say I’ve had A LOT of cakes over the years from the most premier bakery’s in the tri state area, this cake was EXQUISITE. wedding cake quality, decorated so intricately we almost didn’t want to cut into it! Chocolate chip pound cake with buttercream icing adorned with pink rose swirls all over the cake it was absolutely delicious....everyone is still talking about this cake! good job bakers!!! Will be getting all our cakes from McCaffreys moving forward 👍🏼👍🏼🎂💞
