Don Juan's Mexican Kitchen

This place is awesome! They had a tequila night with a new tequila I hadn't tried called Codigo and it was the best tequila I've ever had! The food is delicious and staff is knowledgeable and fun! Definitely check this place out!

Food was delicious. We had margaritas - also delicious. The service was quick.
We got in (family of 5) seated right away.
The server we had was super nice - he kept checking in and was quick with our requests.

Went and had dinner and drinks with my son and husband. We sat out on the patio. Service was great, and the food was fresh, hot, and delicious! The drinks were made perfectly! Would recommend and will be back!

The best!! I will tell you what made eating there that good, Nick!! The best!!! We will go not only because the food is good, but Nick was amazing!! Super friendly!! Awesome service!! Will definitely go back because of him, not only that, but the food is delicious. I ordered the carne asada fries, and my hubby got the wet and green carne asada burrito, Nick started us with the chips and salsa, the chips were warm and delicious!! had two of the best Cadillac margaritas ever!!! Really good, really fresh, and if you're gluten-free the staff was knowledgeable about the menu. I am extremely sensitive (Celiacs Disease) and they let me know about possible cross-contact with fryers so I could choose something safe. Very much appreciated.

This was our first time coming here and I can tell you it will Not be the last it's our new favorite place. The food was amazing and nothing like we have ever had so much flavor all from scratch . We had the Carne Asada burrito and we split it and still had to take some home . The homemade fresh guacamole was the bomb so much flavor . The margarita also amazing so good we brought home a pint of the salsa.All the sauces so yummy the chips also different than normal fried in peanut oil! I wanted to take them home as well lol. Everything was over the top..service fantastic. This is the way to run a restaurant so much pride in what they do...if you like Mexican food this is a must...

Small business turned into a local empire. People are willing to travel 20+ mins to come here for the authentic Mexican food, atmosphere, and very attentive staff. Business owners often seen working here too! A true local success story. Parking is shared with the Tenino Marketplace, can be hard to find parking on weekends however.

Decided to come here while shopping in Chehalis and so happy we did. This restaurant exceeded our expectations and his family owned. I got vegetarian nachos and it was a huge order. We also got chips and guac which the guac was chunky and absolutely delicious my friend got the Carne Asada plate, and it was made to perfection

I live in Seattle and would definitely return to this restaurant I wish I had known about this place sooner because I would have definitely visited more just to come here and eat! Also, their margaritas are very good I had the mango margarita.

I'm from SoCal and finding good Mexican cuisine has been tough for the several non-consecutive years I've lived in WA. This place exceeded my expectations and I will recommend it to anyone coming this way. Thank you to the staff for their excellent service , food, drinks, and good memories.

Excellent food. Wide variety of choices. I suggest that you have fun sampling the various sauces before ordering. All the sauces are excellent. Our server was friendly, patient, and extremely helpful. I think what ever you order will be good.

Give Don Juan's a try, I expect you will be happy you did.

On a summer 2018 road trip Don Juan's was one of our favorite restaurants. Two others were Rustler's BBQ in Henryetta, OK and Allie's Vegan Pizzeria in Spokane, WA.

This mole was the best I've ever had, and not just at a restaurant. Mole can be too sweet, too bitter, or just not right. This was "Goldilocks." Enough sweetness, but not too much. Smoky flavor, but not overpowering. Perfect.
Some of the best restaurant guac I've had as well. All of us were so happy with our meals. Two of us live or lived in SoCal, so we know what legit Mexican food tastes like. To have it in this quaint hamlet of Tenino makes this place a hidden gem.

Hands down the best Mexican food! This is the only place we go everything is always delicious! I like that they give you samples to try and the service is always spectacular! 🤩

Wow. I had the Carna Asada fries. So delicious. It really is enough for two. Even warmed up the next day it was great. Also had a a blackberry margarita which was fantastic. Service was superb. Can't wait to go back to try more menu items.

Don Juan's is a little unassuming from the outside, possibly because it's in a strip mall! We've learned to never underestimate the power of a restaurant by it's location!

The first thing you notice is the decor, it's beautiful! Nice earth tone colors with big-bottomed comfy chairs and rustic wood tables make it super comfortable to relax and enjoy the meal. A great thing we noticed right away was the table for two is plenty big enough, they're usually too small!

The service was very friendly and attentive, we never wanted for anything! We each had the Don Juan Margarita and highly recommend trying that one, it was unique and delicious, not too sweet with wonderful new flavor twist of cucumber! We also both ordered the street tacos as we weren't super hungry. Oh gosh, let me tell you, those were some of the absolute best street tacos we've ever had! I had the carnitas and hubby had the carne asada. They were full of flavor, and meat, and the tortillas were steamed nice and soft. We added some guacamole for our chips and salsa and although chunkier than we typically enjoy, it was very good with fresh avocado and just the right amount of flavor. The chips aren't your typical restaurant or store bought chips, they're thick and hearty and super crunchy so they stand up to the fire roasted salsa and thick chunky guacamole, we loved them!

Our host at Reed's Sweet Wine in Tacoma recommended Don Juan's and boy are we glad she did! We will now highly recommend Don Juan's as well!

The BEST frijoles I've had in a long time. Everything was fresh, delicious, and homemade. There was nothing greasy or overly salty about their dishes. I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area, especially for dinner for their daily specialties.

Great drinks and amazing food. They have a sort of “Mexican fusion” atmosphere yet authentic Mexican cuisine. Awesome spot to take family and friends. Definitely the best Mexican food within a 20mi radius (Yelm, Ranier, Tenino, Tumwater)

**BEST CARNITAS ON THE PLANET**

If you like spicy, they have 4 salsa hot sauces and one called Aji… do it!

Pretty darn good tacos. Love their hot sauces. I'm in the mood for a good shrimp taco, we go here.

Our family’s first time at this restaurant (although I’ve wanted to go for a long time) and we all LOVED it! It’s clean and cute, we were greeted and asked how many by 2 people before we even made it through the doors. Our server was fantastic and friendly, and the food… insane. So. Freaking. Good. We will absolutely be back even though it’s no where near our house! Get the guac!!!

I've been here more than a few times. Super delicious food and hefty portions. I have taken other people here and they have absolutely loved it and have gone back. I recommend getting the guacamole, it's a must try. 10/10!!!
