5 stars from a "hypochondriac" not easy to please dog mom -

I am a little anxious often when it comes to my dog's health. Unfortunately I've taken my dog to other places and my dog has: gotten misdiagnosed, kennel cough, been told nothing was wrong with her ( when she could have died from a life-threatening condition). NEVER have any of these things happened here at Middlesex Vet.

They HAVE properly diagnosed, and saved my dog's life. I can tell they understand how much value a pet brings in your life. They also will not rush you out the door to see their next patient. I really appreciate this. They will also not tell you that you *need* a bunch of things that are very expensive for your pet. And yet my pet is always receiving top care, every time.

The Doctors- Dr. Claire Catt, and Dr. Samantha are both very knowledgeable and kind hearted. They take endless time to listen to me explain and then problem solve giving multiple options of treatment. They also keep budget in mind so can give you multiple options soon in your budget. Dr Clare specifically called me the other day and took her time to follow up with a concern for my dog (who had been to an urgent care earlier that day). This level of service is exemplary and it's because of doctors like this, like her, that really care that keep people coming back!

Environment - Clean, pretty Victorian/ pet feel decor, never dirty. Also comfortable seats! Bathroom and water available. Lots of treats available (and other options available if your dog has allergies).

Staff - Vet techs always so excited and gentle with your pet. Secretaries will do their best to follow up with all your calls and billing needs. ( My only complaint is I think there could be more communication between the different secretaries ).

Highly recommend. I've had awful experiences with other vets in the area. So glad I found Dr. Catt and her team ! Go check them out, you won't be disappointed.

We just moved to the area and felt so comfortable here on our first visit with our pup, Rippley. They did not muzzle her right away after seeing her (pit mix) which we SO appreciated. They were fair in pricing for our basic visit but can’t speak to anything more serious. We will be going back to them for all of our animal needs. Thank you to everyone there for truly caring about animals and making us feel at home!

We had an appointment with Dr Samantha, the newest doctor, several weeks ago with our kitty Cuddles. Cuddles is certainly not the most agreeable kitty when it comes to her visits, especially when it involves her anal glands being expressed. We did the usual pre sedation prior to the car ride. But chaos ensued when the yearly exam ended with the anal glands. Not a pretty sight!!!!
Dr Samantha did an awesome job! Despite the caterwauling, wiggling and squirming and squealing of an angry cat, Dr Samantha worked patiently and calmly to complete the exam along with the assistance of Katie in her oven mitts...lol! They both talked to her in soothing voices despite the commotion of an extremely angry cat. Dr Samantha even recommended several types of food that may provide more fiber for her diet. As a pet parent, I appreciate the kindness and caring both her and Katie showed toward Cuddles that day.
We have been going to their office for almost 12 years now and are very pleased with all the doctors, vet techs and office staff that we have encountered over the years!

Amazing experience from check in to our tech and vet Dr Carlton. You all treated our hyper grumbly old man Jäger just perfectly. Called yesterday as a 1st time client and was seen today. We are ever so grateful for your expert service and diagnosis that I will now be a long time client.

I can't express how grateful we are with the superb treatment our GSD ,Eva received. The staff was extremely kind and gave our sweet girl hope of recovering from a fall in our little pond during this frigid weather. After one day,so far so good. She's starting to walk and doing well for an 11 year old girl. Bless you all🤗🤗

We brought our baby Cauldron to these wonderful ladies! He was diagnosed with wet FIP and within less than 4 hours Dr. Samantha had an amazing plan for our baby boy! We are overly thankful for everyone there epically Dr. Samantha and Becca ! You ladies are the best! Thank you!

The best veterinary experience I have ever had. They treat you and your furry friends as family. They went above and beyond to fit us into their busy schedule and were very kind to send us a sympathy card when our little girl passed. Can’t recommend them enough!

Claire and the whole staff at House Calls are amazing. They truly care about your pet, are always honest & practical about treatment options and will always recommend what is best for your pet. We were referred a few years ago to Dr. Claire and we are so happy. We trust that our dog is in good hands at House Calls.

I had a wonderful experience at this vet, one of the best I've ever had. They treated myself and my 2 dogs with such care, compassion, and kindness. The entire staff was wonderful.

I highly recommend Middlesex vet. I decided to try a different vet after multiple visits with our previous vet for the same/recurring issues with no real answers. Made and apt after being recommended to Middlesex vet and absolutely LOVED them. The staff is so kind and informative. Dr. Sara took the time to sit and listen to my long (and I mean very long) list of concerns with treatments and interventions. They ran some tests and we came up with a CLEAR treatment plan and interventions to follow through with. During our apt the staff was sure to keep us updated and informed. I am very pleased with my visit and will continue to go here from now on.

We couldn't ask for a better vet. They are extremely responsive, always follow up to check on animals (after anything significant where it is fitting) after procedures have been performed. Over the years, we've used four or five vets locally and in different areas, and house calls is without question the best we've ever dealt with.

All the DOGtors and vet techs I’ve seen here have been wonderful, patient, kind and understanding! I have two Rottweilers who are not very fond of going to the vet and the staff here always makes them feel welcome and at ease!

Great veterinary practice, no nonsense and very friendly. Staff is very helpful and you can really tell that they care about your animals!

We saw Dr. Darah who was so kind and patient with my dog. Everyone took their time and made sure my dog felt comfortable with them before proceeding. Office was clean and inviting. They were able to get me in the same day as a new client and callec my old vet to transfer everything over. I can't say enough good things about our experience.

I am so pleased with the expertise and care that my sweet Bella has been given. They are thorough and care for both pet and owner.

Me and my fiancé just got our new puppy Duke and we knew that we wanted to find a vet that treaded our fur babies like one of their own. Beforehand, we had taken our previous dogs to the big name brand veterinary hospitals but never felt at home. We for sure made the right choice coming here! They take their time, answer all of your questions, are gentle, and are there no matter what happens (2 months in our little buy decided to eat a tennis ball and they fit us in the same day to have him checked out!). Their prices are fair and the care is exceptional! It's amazing to finally have a vet we can trust with such valuable members of our family!

The staff couldn't have been more helpful. We took a litter of six, 7-week-old pups and their dam for the puppies' first vet appointment and shots. Each staff member grabbed a pup from our vehicle and helped us carry them into the exam room, where the pups playfully checked out their environment while the vet and her staff looked on and gave them a few minutes to adjust to their surroundings. No one got upset when a couple pups had a few accidents but, rather, just took it all in stride with a swipe of a paper towel. Very gently while seated on the floor with the group, the vet checked all the males' testicles along with a good look at the dam to make sure she was drying up adequately before putting each puppy on a scale and then on the table for its quick shot. Not a squeal was heard. This had to be the most pleasant experience we've ever had at a vet appointment, despite -- or maybe because of -- the puppy pandemonium.

I switched vets looking for a personal experience for my dogs. Even with Covid constraints, I feel the people take the time to answer my questions and concerns fully. I have recommended Middlesex Veterinary to my pet-sitting clients.

Been using this vet for over 20 years. I wouldn't think of using any other veterinarians. Kevin, Claire and the entire staff are caring, compassionate and will always do what they need to to keep your pet healthy and happy.
